But…if you are like me on a limited budget, you CAN do a painting with the cheaply stuff it comes with. I’m grateful for all the info, but if I’d seen this before I started DP I would not have bothered. Mrs Coffee, is my favorite you tube channel though. ❤ thanks to her for her great videos.
This video was so helpful. I am a new diamond painter. I got a painting for Christmas. Am waiting on several things now. Thank you so much for the tips.
I bought a magnetic phone charger for my light pad. With just a snap it attaches to the light pad, charges it and there’s no damage pulling a cord on and off. One of the best purchases I ever made. I highly recommend it.
they're cheap too (~$5), plus u can get a data cable and extra plugs for phone, tablet etc for not much more than the basic charging cable + plug combo.
I am a virgin to all of this lol 😆 im so loss but I got like five dazz 3d gemstone paintings for Christmas go figure so im going to do one tonight to help with my anxiety I am so glad I found your channel im going to give my painting to my mom. When im done I can't wait im going to take a picture and dm u so I can get your feedback.
Lol 😆Mrs Coffee I think I have every thing except pill grinder and the polly acrylic. I started collecting since February 16, 2021 when I got my first kit. So 9 kits completed and 10th almost finished and 11th 1/5 done. Some of the tools you mentioned I already had due to my farm 🚜 home office or other crafts. Thank you for all you have taught me.
Oh my gosh you are going to fall in love with his work he does the hybrids with wood and they are amazing. He lets you choose how many bumps you want. Then they come in a nice bracelet box. He is my favorite shop for pens.
Oh and. Coffee this helps me a lot. I ordered A total of 12 diamond paintings from two of the best companies. Diamond art club is very addictive. Lololol. But I love it. I finished the Sunflower one. Can’t wait for my other ones to arrive. This is also helps me with anxiety and depression as well. Love all of your finished projects! Keep up the good work. Be Blessed!
my light pad is a life saver, my son has to have xrays on a regular basis, so his surgeon needs me to send a picture, the light pad helps with that too :) Thanks lovely your awesome!!!!!
I have a few Richard Lorenz ( working on Famiky Circus here and there to make it last hehe). I have had the pleasure. Though of seeing quite a few done as my friends in craft group are big fans and they look Amazing!!
Omg lol I was almost done my comment on another video when it went to next video in playlist and posted my comment here instead …..sorry, that must have been made ya 🤔😂
Oh, the things I know now that I wish I had known when I started this craft. Anyone that is new to diamond painting will greatly benefit from this video. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for your youtube - I’m new to diamond art and needed this so bad. Found you after looking for what the heck happened to my order from that diamond house place - which Never showed up! You inspire me to go on. Thanks again 😃❤️
my moms birthday is coming up and she just finished a really big diamond painting. she also has carpal tunnel and arthritis in her hands. those pens are really pretty and they will help her so much when she does diamond paintings! thank you!
Just wanted to say I love your videos, you keep it real! You just do you and I think that’s amazing. I’ve learned so much from you, Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks with us all!
Wow! Thank you for all your experience and Information. It was very helpful. Just bought my first kit for a Christmas present for my son. I cross stitch and do beading, so should love this, too. Blessings to All!!
great job I am new to Diamond painting - your advice has been one of the best! ps when Barbara Walters was the 1st woman to become an anchor and make 1 million she got a lot of flack - John Wayne sent her a note "don't let the "blank" get you down - hope you stay on youtube giving info
Mylar bags work really nice for spare drills too. I get the ones with the white backing that way the drills really pop, which is helpful for having several colors that are so close to one another you almost can't tell them apart otherwise.
If I ever have a fire I will grab my super sticky Paddy waxx before I run lol. I LOVE it as well as my Jim's pen. And my little parchment paper squares I got that are all uniformly cut into perfect squares. Oh... And my storage thing like tic tac boxes!
Thank you so much for all of the useful information. I definitely will be checking out all of your links. I really appreciate you sharing this information. I am new to Diamond Painting but have enjoyed it so far. Thanks again!
Thank you for doing this video is super helpful I just got my first diamond painting about a week and a half ago and I haven’t opened it yet because I felt like I haven’t got the right tools to be successful
This was the definitive guide. Thank you so much. I have most everything mentioned except an acrylic pen( that will be rectified soon) it really has become hard to use the regular one. Otherwise I'd highly recommend everything else mentioned. Fantastic overview as always and as always products we know you fully endorse which is awesome!!
I'm just getting started in the DP world, love all the info you shared. I also joined your group yesterday, thanks to you & Rachel Rae I think I'll do ok.
Thank you so much for sharing this awesome video, I had a lot of my questions answered, now I can gradually add to my supplies, till I get everything. I had no idea where to begin with all this. I have storage containers coming from Harbor Freight that I have been patiently waiting on for a month now.
absolutely love this post. i found your tips very helpful and am going to take them all into consideration when i begin my first painting which is a partial drill. might not be my favorite type, i think i am going to prefer the full drill but i am ready to start thanks to your tips. thanks again.
This was great thank you. I’ve been looking at this craft and you have given me somuch information To help me make up my mind. Thank you so much for your help 👍 to you.
Hello! I was wondering what the dimensions were of the thick PVC baggies you have so I can order the right size ? Please let me know ! This video was very helpful :) I’m just starting DP!! Thank you.
Crafting with Mrs. Crochet and Coffee ok thank you ! I couldn’t find them on that store but I found some on amazon !! Does 6 by 8 cm sound about right ? I’ll just order from their. :)
Thanks for the video. I have done a few diamond paintings and have only used what was in the kits. I am definently going to purchase a new pen. I already have a light pad that I purchased for a quilt project. I had to use it for my last diamond painting because I could not see the symbols without it. I was just curious about what you do if you do not have enough drills in a kit and you don't have any extra that color. I did not have enough of just one color and it is a shade of blue in a landscape scene. I am going to Hobby Lobby this weekend to see if they have any drills that color and I have looked online and found the color but I don't know about ordering something for $1.95 if I have to pay shipping on it. I have considered just using a different color blue from that kit to fill in but I am not sure about doing that. Just wondering if you have any suggestions. Thanks again for your videos. I enjoy hearing you talk about your family and pets. Sorry for the long comment. Have a great day.
I would also suggest purchasing a table top easel, or a drafting table if you can afford it and have the space for it, for people who suffer from back and neck aches.
I’m going to get a lap desk... the mind reader or something like that. It’s $15 and I want to use it on the couch while hubby watches TV, and we have no table in there. ☺️
Hey hope u are well I watch all your videos being doing dp for a while but I came across this video with u about must haves I don't have a grinder but am going to have to get one. You also said u haven't come across square drills that stick together I have a really bad batch of square of 310 that are stuck together. Don't know if I can post pics in these comments.
BFF Diamond painting pens on Facebook are awesome!! They do do auctions and pen drops but you can also just order. Fast delivery even during this pandemic!!

So sorry to hear about your family. My prayers are with you. As for your many questions, i would have you watch my playlist of the pocket guide to diamond Painting: th-cam.com/play/PL32gsoUfb8Xam6t8-KfVfQWFGFw1krLUX.html This should give you all the information you need. As for best store to by from being in the UK, i am not sure about that as I Live in the USA and I don't know what your budget would allow you to spend on the craft. But here are a few I recommend 1: Diamond Art Club 2: DIYMOON Shop 3: Craftibly 4: Crystal Canvas Art 5: Runfar on Amazon 6: Kotart on Amazon 7: Staroar on Amazon 8: Fgnormal 9:Mystical Diamond Art 10: Everydayedeals

Can I use a cover minder when using a light pad or will that hurt the surface of the pad? Thanks for your help and thanks again for all these wonderful videos!
Hi Mrs. crochet and coffee my name is Susan I am working on my second painting I just bought an acrylic pen and it goes so much faster and so much easier I cannot find in your description where to buy different ones if you can give me the name or the the email or whatever and I’d like to get another one I have a clear one and I’d like to get us a second acrylic I appreciate all your help and all your tips I love the idea of the pill bottle with the with the nickel I haven’t had any stuck together but it’s so simple and so easy I think it’s great I love watching your videos you give out a lot of information and have fun doing it I watch you and Rachel ray I’d also like to know where you get the the freighter crate boxes for getting up and one more question who thought of the idea of kidding up and kidding down when you’re sitting up you’re a diamond painting who gave it a name it’s just very interesting thank you for all your help have a great day be safe with your family and I’ll be waiting to hear from you by Susan
Thanks for another super helpful video! I'm very curious to know if you ever use the Minwax Polycrylic to seal regular diamond paintings, and if not, why?
Rhinestones and special drills are the ones that look like colorful glass diamonds, special drills, would be diamonds in Different Shapes and sizes and regular drils are most common, solid 1 color
Where would you get the protective covers for the diamond art? We destroyed our first one, by completely removing the protective cover, and even the tacky glue from amazon did nothing for us
WHEN I SAW THOSE DIAMOND PENS FROM JIM'S HAND MADE PENS I HAD TO ORDER ONE I'M SO TIRED OF USING THOSE PINK PENS THEY HURT MY HANDS WHEN I'M DOING MY PROJECTS. BTW I ORDERED THE MERMAID TAILS PEN. THANK YOU FOR SHARING💐😊
Your random seems to line up perfectly for my life, seeing as I just got my very very first diamond painting kit today. Now my back is aching from being bent over that sucker for a couple of hours. I have both a chunkier pen and a light pad on order because I'm old and busted and need all the help I can get, but they're not here yet, and the world being what it is right now I have no idea when they'll get here - not complaining, just stating facts. So far I'm using a small decorative statue as a cover minder and that's working just fine. The kit I'm working on right now is small, so I've just kitted it up in dollar store resealable baggies, but I can definitely see the value in a better method of storage down the road. One thing that's annoying me is that this kit does not have the DMC numbers for the drills - is that common?
If your back is aching, you might want to invest in a table top easel especially if you plan on completing more kits. Some people are able to purchase a drafting table as well. I use an adjustable table top easel so that I can sit straight up while diamond painting. Plus, I can pull it closer to me if needed, and my A2 light pad fits nicely on it.
@@MrsCoffee1 no... I mean, I have the dinky little single placement tool that came with the kit-I know I’ll want a nicer one, but do you really use the ones that place several at once that often? I’m wondering if I really need one that places several at once or just the single style.
I love Jim's pens also I have 2 myself and I just ordered another for my boyfriend who is going to do his first dp when It gets here from Diamond art club
@@MrsCoffee1 Thank you for sharing the link. Not so much interested in their kits, The quality of accessories in America seem to be better quality. What we need is the ability to purchase accessories, have them shipped to the one address within America, and then have them shipped in the one box to Australia.
Love the dog noise's makes me happy
Love your bracelets!
I've been using shot glasses 😆 instead of cover minders
I just made myself a "PAW PAW GRINDER" bless paw 🐾 🐾 paw!🌻✌💎

I use my old kitchen rolling pin and painter's tape. Budget friendly and works great
I use blue tak for the micro plug-in. I just put it around the part that goes in. Holds it in place and haven't had an issue 🤷♀️
Thank u for your video your the best I have watched about to start diamond painting

Where would you get the protective covers for the diamond art? We destroyed our first one, by completely removing the protective cover, and even the tacky glue from amazon did nothing for us
Parachment paper or release papers. I get my release papers from Crafts with Crashley
I love my Jim's pen!!!!!
Could you do a video on how to section off your diamond painting with washing tape please? x
maybe, let me see about that
This was a fun watch! My daughter just sent me a kit. Would you say it’s necessary to have the applicators/tips for multiple placement?
I am a little confused by your question. Do you need the single placer if your Multiplacing?
@@MrsCoffee1 no... I mean, I have the dinky little single placement tool that came with the kit-I know I’ll want a nicer one, but do you really use the ones that place several at once that often? I’m wondering if I really need one that places several at once or just the single style.
@@msdixie1972 I start with a single placer, then three, and then a multiplacer of 15. It really helps me a lot and make the work go by faster.
Alishia...could I get your recommendation on the light pad (and size) you would purchase if you were buying one today?
Yes Ma'am...

@@MrsCoffee1 Thank you for sharing the link. Not so much interested in their kits, The quality of accessories in America seem to be better quality. What we need is the ability to purchase accessories, have them shipped to the one address within America, and then have them shipped in the one box to Australia.
I like the medicine bottle tip on breaking beads apart.
My Dad was so excited when he discovered that tip.
Thank You!
Do we always take a round metal end of the pen when we use square drills?? An with the 5D drills??
5d drills are the same as all other drills, so the pens are universal
