Very interesting story of the WW mentality in deserving a fling and recommitment to their marriage, which didn't happen. The downfall after divorce, the promiscuity and recovery in making a life is somewhat commendable but seems resentful to the one she betrayed. We get somewhat of an apology and accountability but feel that it's insincere. Why? - because she blamed her ex-husband for her misery. This is when he leaves her high and dry in the fact she's still shows her narcisstic attitude. He has to point out that her actions are the root cause of the destruction of their lives. Give her credit for recovering, but OP (Rick) made the right decision in not giving her the second chance. Never give a cheater the second chance once they shatter your heart and trust. Sad story, but it is reality unlike what Hallmark and Hollywood would like to manipulate us to accept.

Good story. Liked hearing this from the woman's point of view. She was at least honest with herself and and made changes to her life even though her expectations of reconciliation were all for naught.
Hearing her side shows her transformation. Terrible that she didn't understand being honest and faithful was a requirement not an option with Rick. The opposite of Love is not Hate but indifference. He finally reached indifference.

I hate that he gave up on the kids. I fought tooth ans nail to get custody of my kid and my ex is living in squalor and tattoo her face with her children's name. This story makes me ill. Rick is a goddamn fool for letting her have that much power in the relationship.

Well a good story with a different approach! Interesting on how they worked thru their issues. Still in the end, he still couldn't bring himself to really get past her cheating. And she still couldn't bring herself to get past what she did to her husband.
The husband is a looser. He should fight for full custody of the children and let the 403 pay for child support and alimony.

Majority are here for a good quality story. All agree that these are fiction. But each story propose a self reflexion & a different perspective of what we should (or shoudn't) in a crise situation. I like to play couch psy & reflect on what would be my position in that manner. But mostly, I try to keep a positive mind set
Good story! I liked hearing from the wife's perspective. Neither wife, nor husband won, but they put their children first. Sadly they got clarity towards the end but it was too late. At least they both lived their lives with integrity towards the end. ☺️
