I saw it done in the past. Some good and some not so good results. What do you think is worse case in a home set up? I was going to use a front pull older machine but, I thought the electric consumption on a 50 year old machine would be very high as well as not as cold. I think you have enough experience that your suggestions should be considered. Might keep the vend out side in the shade in Florida, so its hot year round. Thanks for the help.
Glass bottles are not designed to handle the stress of having other bottles stacked on top of them and then being rotated through a pivot and dropping down into a shoot. It will end with broken glass or caps popped off with a big mess. I wouldn't do it. Just get cans of beer. You can post your question on the vendiscuss.net forum and see the opinion of vendors that have been doing this far longer than I have.

Hi Bill, watched all of your videos multiple times, Many times :). Very very helpful. Thank you so Much. I have royal 660. Machine looks the same like the one you demonstrated here. I have changed one column from 12oz can to 16.9oz water bottle and having issue vending correctly. I did not changed rod position as product diameter looks the same as can (Dasani 16.9oz water bottle). I changed shim as you recommended/ demonstrated in this video. Also changed Set depth per selection from 2 to 1. Problem is it vends two product and goes to sold out and when press coin return button it returns full amount of change. So First time I test it vends two bottle per selection, right after that second vend, it will be one bottle then sold out message and return change upon pressing coin return. Could you please let me know if you know the problem or solution of this issue?
It sounds like your issue is the drop sensor. It is either bad or needs adjustment. First try adjusting the drop sensor following the directions in the manual. The adjustment is on the control board. If you don't have the manual, you can download one here: www.royalvendors.com/giii-vender/

Subscribed.... I have Dixie Narco 501e. I am new to vending and having trouble setting my machine. My machine takes cans and bottles. Sometimes it dispenses two at a time and other times it doesn’t at all. Plz help!
It's probably your cam setting or you are using the wrong product shims. Are you trying to vend cans or bottles? In the wide column or the narrow column? How many products deep are you trying to do? The proper settings should be listed on a paper on the inside of the door.

@@ScarFace405_ The bill acceptor probably needs to be replaced...almost every machine that I purchased I had to replace the bill acceptor. I prefer the MEI bill acceptors over the coinco ones. You should try putting the cans three deep in the machine and setting the cam to the 1 setting. You also need to confirm that you have the can shim in the machine. You should join the vendiscuss.net/ message board and post your issues there. There are many experienced vendors on the board that will walk you though any problems you are having with your machines. I've learned much from the forum.
There are magnets on the chain hook and a sensor that the chain passes over. I know between the sensor and the magnets the machine knows where the hook and rotors are. I once needed to replace a bad sensor on one of my machines.

Great video So I followed your video and for the first 2 vends it was perfect but on my third vend the Powerade bottle seems to get caught up on the long product stop. So it is just hanging from the top of the bottle. Never touches the chute it just Hanging free. Any idea??
You probably set your depth wrong. Make sure you are setting it by selection, not by column. What that means is if selection 1 on your machine has 2-deep cans, set 1 to 2. Column 1 might not be linked to selection 1.....so you need to set depth by selection, not column.
I've never tried it, but I'm thinking it would work if you left it set up like it were vending cans...the narrow product stop and two deep per column. You would need to adjust your front and back product stops a little, but I think it should work.

The first machine I purchased was a Royal GII (RVCC 390-9). The bill validator was bad so I had it replaced by a vending machine mechanic I met at a vendor warehouse. He replaced the coinco with a Mars/mei and showed me the basic functions of the machine. My machine has been on location for a little over a week and it’s doing well. But I have a few drinks that are not selling at all and I would like to replace them. The only issue is that I as far as I know my machine only takes 12 oz. cans. The employees where the machine is located have asked for 3 replacements: Yoo-hoo, energy drinks and water (still). I don’t mind making the changes because I can put the products in another machine, but I cannot find their requests in a form that would fit my Royal GII. Any insight, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks current drinks in the machine are: Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke, Gingerale, Dr. Pepper, Coke Zero, Orange Fanta, Mountain Dew and Root Beer
Thanks for the comments. I have never used a Gii machine, but each column should be able to vend either 12 oz cans or bottles....so you should at least be able to put water bottles in there. I have seen YooHoo in 12 oz cans in the past, so that would be the way to go with that...but I don't think it would be a big seller....so don't buy much of it. I'm not sure if that machine will vend the longer energy drink cans...you will have to talk to someone who has run those machines. I think I've seen you on the vendiscuss forum....you should ask your question there. You will get lots of good advice.

How do i set a front colom to one 1 drink and the rear of the same colom to a different drink useing 2 different buttons please help i have 8 seletions but the operat both front a rear
Are you able to show how to set up a nayax credit card ?? Or give info about them?? Kinda wanna get some but idk how they work or the system works or how they connect.
Each machine connects using a modem and uses cell phone towers. You need to pay around $8 per machine for the hookup and about 6% of each sale to the credit card companies. It pays for itself if you have a good account because you get all types of sales data and you know when a machine needs to be refilled without going to the location. Nayax has an app for cell phones and a web interface on the computer. I will make a video about it in the future.
I made a mistake removing a rod, I removed the first one from left to right and it had to be the second one to adjust the size. I already put the rod back in but I don't know if the blades are in the correct position. how can I know? do you have any tutorial I already did the test to dispatch and the product comes out well.
Dixie's are more involved. It requires you to change from the can shim to the bottle shim, adjust the cam setting to 2-deep, and remove the rod in the rotor. I will need to make a video on the process.
Are you talking about a Merlin IV machine? If so, you don't really need to do much to switch from cans to bottles except change product depth from 2 to 1 deep. The programming of that is the same as on the gIII machines. The only thing you need in a 660 is a shim if you are using 16 oz bottles...but most people vend the 20 once bottles or cans.
In a dixie or a royal? If a dixie, if you can't turn the rotor, you may need to remove the motor to pull the rotor up and out. Of course, you will need to remove all the product from that column.
Do you mean a coin mech dumping all its coins? This is usually caused by electrical interference near the vending machine...like a bad florescent light near by that keeps trying to start up.
Only thing wrong. Well one of the only things wrong. Is the settings of your front product stops on bottle drinks. Is they should be set. Just right past the bottle top. And you don't want anything more than 1/4 inch of space between product and stop.
I don't think the difference between 1/4" and 1/2" of space for bottles on a Royal GIII is really going to make a difference....well at least it hasn't for me.

You should not vend glass bottles in a stack soda machine.

For 16.9 in a Dixie, use a can shim and vend them 2 deep.

Yes....taller cans require you to set the column to 1 deep.

Could you do a video on that machines vending mechanism? I curious as to how the chain's hook is able to move around to reach the right lever.

@@alow2323 does your machine have the black anti tilt arm in each column? If it is missing or broken, you will need to replace it.

I have a Royal 804. It vended 3 12oz cans. The space depth is set to two. What could be my issue besides the rods?

I've never tried it, but I'm thinking it would work if you left it set up like it were vending cans...the narrow product stop and two deep per column. You would need to adjust your front and back product stops a little, but I think it should work.

What do you mean by blades? Do you mean the shims? If it is vending ok you are probably fine and I wouldn't worry about it.
