Great tip with the Allen key and adjustable spanner. I’ve reached the grand old age of 60 and worked on lots of bikes and cars in my time and I’ve never heard of that tip. It just shows that you ‘young pups’ can teach us ‘old dogs’ new tricks 😀. One piece of advice though, don’t leave the brake callipers dangling on the brake lines 👍
Thanks, it's something I recently learned and it works great so thought I would share it on 🤟 yeah not sure why I did that I always hang them on the springs when I do cars but didn't really have a plan for the bike ones so I left them hanging, I'll have to work something out for that next time 😅
This TH-cam channel is a breath of fresh air, so many would have removed all the out takes and made out everything is perfect, it's so nice to see it as it really is fantastic just like my life, Good luck with your channel mate, Will be watching cheers.
Thanks alot I appreciate that🤟 I like to leave as much in as I can, mistakes and all because the way I see it I'm an amature at best so if I try make it look like I'm doing things perfect first time then it wouldn't sit right with me 😅
I am pretty impressed with all your doing in your videos.. And very honest about all your doing. You will go along way in life being honest.. Good luck with all your jobs.. Looking forward to seeing your next project.
By the way Sam.. Remember this.. No matter what you have up for sale.. There will always be one person out there. That will want what you are selling. So also never be in a rush.... Good luck
From your own admission you are new to some of the mechanics. That being the case, take advantage & recondition old forks. Win,win, you should get more back than the price of seal/oil. Plus you gain experience in reconditioning forks 😁👍
Great work mate! I've just bought a front wheel jack lift thing, slots into the head stock, really good and wasn't expensive... I've been known to call the front fender the "wheel fairing" 😂
Another great video mate, been waiting all week for it! they are getting better and better, your doing great for your first time doing these jobs and the best way of learning is just getting stuck in! I think you should get a sports bike for your next build! .. much love 👊
Thanks mate really appreciate that 🤟 I've always learned better by doing things so getting stuck in is always the best way forward! There will be a proper sports bike sooner or later but got a few projects I need to handle first but it will happen soon enough 🤟🤟
don,t worry about making mistakes sam ,that,s how you learn m8 :) there plenty of bikers out there ,who cant even change a spark plug ,so fair play to yah 👍👍
Thanks 🤟 yeah I I finally took some time to play round with the settings and looked at the unmirrored video and I understand it now it looks so much better 😅
Love these vids sam i have worked with a lot of pitbikes and dirtbikes for 2 years and made lots of electric conversions lol i love watching the vids i made lots of money workin with bike 😊❤ amazing vids dude
Brilliant video, Sam. I am only going off my own bike experience, but a Haynes manual for the bike you're working on would help a lot. I couldn't even change the front light on my Honda 125 varadero without the manual. If you can ? Look up the Honda 125 Varadero. It's a v twin and sells very well. It would be a great project .😊
Thanks 🤟 Funnily enough I used the Haynes manual on this one but the online version as I wasn't exactly sure how the rear wheel was supposed to come off 🤣 I'll have a look at that I'm patrial to a 125 v- twin!
Invest in a bench mounted wire wheel and some cheap silver and black spray paint, spend 5 mins tidying up things like the fender brackets you put on. Makes them look smarter to help with a sale and stops things like that being used in price negotiation. It will help lift your reputation.
@@SamsAutoAssortium my mod 1 was easy struggled with the speed for the avoidance so picked up a fault for that and stalled on the emergency stop not too bad still passed with a couple of faults I failed my first mod 2 right at the end of my test 🫣🫣 hopefully I'll sail through my retest 🤞🤞
Have a look for bandit parts for sale on Facebook marketplace and you should find her she's in pontypridd, she will post certain parts too and her prices are cheaper than anywhere 🤟
I'm not sure I was told they are off a 600 bandit but they fit and all the mountings for the wheel, brake callipers and the mudguard are exactly the same so they could be basically the same forks for both bikes 🤔
Please please please its a mudguard NOT A FENDER thats an American term and a guitar brand you're Welsh don't water down the British language my friend you need to buy dad a pint or two of dizzy water for the help ..😅

@visab230 thanks! I'm usually pretty good at sticking to my guns when I decide a price I'm happy with I'll wait it out and it usually comes good 🤘
Great work sam and dad nice to see another bandit back on the road hopefully you make some good money on it
Thanks been alot of fun saving this one and hopefully plenty of room for a profit still to go 🤟

@geoffbirt4537 that's not a bad idea at all, be handy to learn how to do that 🤟
Remember, we all had to start somewhere….forks are pretty straightforward to do & plenty of really good informative videos on TH-cam 😁👍
@geoffbirt4537 thanks I'll check it out and see if I can get them done and hopefully get them to someone else trying to save a bandit 🤟
Good work getting it through the MOT.
Will be great to see how it turns out next week. 👍
Thanks, will likely be in another week or 2 before we see it again now to wrap things up 🤟
Well done on getting it through the MOT. Hope you make a healthy profit in it to finance future projects. Your videos are always a good watch.
Thanks I appreciate that 🤟 there's plenty of room left for profit as I really haven't spent alot fixing this so far so fingers crossed 🤞
Great work mate! I've just bought a front wheel jack lift thing, slots into the head stock, really good and wasn't expensive... I've been known to call the front fender the "wheel fairing" 😂
I'll take a look at one of them the more lifty thingys the better right 😅 the wheel fairing makes sense, I guess whatever works at the time is fine 🤣🤣

It’s a fork preload adjuster. Compresses the spring to stiffen up the front forks.
I had a feeling it was something like that just not come across it before so wasn't sure what it was called 😅
don,t worry about making mistakes sam ,that,s how you learn m8 :) there plenty of bikers out there ,who cant even change a spark plug ,so fair play to yah 👍👍
Thanks 🤟 hopefully I learn from the mistakes and don't make them on the next project and I should be alright 😅
Hi Sam, get work bud on getting it through it's MOT. looking forward to your next video on this Bandit
Thanks hopefully won't be long before the next one 🤟
Nice one pal well done getting it all done and though it’s MOT. Hell of a bike for £400 !!
Thanks 🤟 yeah it seems my trade paid off but I'll crunch all the numbers in the next video 😅
You can also use the hole at the end of the adjustable on the allen key, or a ring spanner.
Thanks I'll bear those in mind for when I haven't got the space to use the adjustable like I did 🤟
OMGosh you finaly took reverse off the front camera 😮 nice decision the nose ring stays in the same place now lol 😂 good job on the bike too Sam
Thanks 🤟 yeah I I finally took some time to play round with the settings and looked at the unmirrored video and I understand it now it looks so much better 😅

That's a really good idea and as things move forward I'll certainly be looking to take care of the finer details with things like that 🤟🤟
Great job on getting the bike through a mot. You should sell that no problem. Or even trade up again which would be a great wee twist
Thanks 🤟 hoping to sell it and take a payday to move some other projects along but a good trade up is always a welcome option 😅
Smashed it there . Shouldn't be hard to sell
@whitecloudmountainminnowpr6353 thanks, I'm hoping not 🤟
Haha mad as didn’t expect to see you making vids on TH-cam mush, seem to be smashing it anyway pal 👍
@adamthrelfall8894 cheers, not something I ever really planned on it just kind of happened and it's going well right now 😅 hope your all good 🤟

Get the paperwork in order before you start putting money in it
Just waiting on the log book should be due anyway now 🤟
Don't leave calipers hanging off the brake lines.
now deliver it upto scotland and take my bike as a swap 🤣😂
Now that would be interesting .... what you got to swap 👀🤣
suzuki gsx 600f katana 2002 its yellow starts and runs but needs a couple bits doing for an mot
U do a 800-1k with logbook and that
Hoping to get near to 1k for it when I finally sell it 🤞
