- On this fourth video of our 8 acre pond restoration project, we're finally starting to stock the pond with sunfish. The pond isn't completely full, but it's getting close.
We'll tell you why bluegill are such a great food for largemouth bass and why they are preferred over other sunfish species.

I’ve picked up this series late, but have really enjoyed watching the process…
Trophy bass is great but trophy brim, to me, is equally great. So much fun on a light weight flyrod and great for a fish fry.
Trophy brim are good too! We'll be talking about feeding practices to grow trophy brim on the next video.
Leave those floating trees, let them go where they may. All fish of all sizes will use them in different parts of the year. More habitat = more fish in the long run. Looks great so far 👍
I liked the pushed down trees amenity. I only wish they could've added more to give it that structure but they to have did a pretty good job. The host was very informative and knew just what the pond needed. So I trust his judgment. Also I remember them saying in the previous video they were having the bass relocated to a nearby creek. Did they do the same for the bluegill or no due to them being undersized??
Great vid. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it

In august put 20 largemouth bass with a perch that was big the half of them in a small pond, the perch now is alive, will it survive?
Would have been nice to see the size of the bluegill. Are the Carp able to breed?
The carp are sterile. The bluegill were about 2-3" long. I wish we could have gotten a closer shot of them as well.

What city in SE Ga are y’all out of ?
It appeared that quite a few fish died on entry. I'm wondering if it was a water temperature differential issue?
Could have been. Mass stocking through a pipe like this is not our preferred way to do it, but the only option we could find at the time.
