I have worked as a concierge in a high rise in Surrey as a student for about a year. 1 major reason for shortage is that it’s overburdened by the drug addicts. The call made for them is treated as urgent as it’s mostly related to overdose and every time the call is made at least 2 ambulances 2 police vehicles and 2 fire trucks will be there for them. I have seen that happen every night and all I could feel was pity for the country that how the resources are wasted. On the other hand when any of the resident called for an ambulance it would take hours to be on site. “Junkies are the priority, tax paying citizens are not”
It's so terrible, seriously. 2018 mein when I came here, it was still a little better time wise. But doctors here seemed to have very less experience identifying common issues. And now, the system is so badly broken. To get a family doctor you have to wait a year. Then wait 6-8 months for a specialist.
same thing happened with me on 27th march 2024 as i had huge pain in stomach and for the checkups i have to wait 10-12 hrs in emergency. Moroever, my appendix is leaked and they give me antibiotics and the case was immediately do the surgery but i have to wait the whole day for my suregery and doctor only meet you one time for 5 minutes. After that you have to book appointment again. Whoseever is come to canada please do full body checkup in your home country otherwise you will face many issues
Same here, even I had kidney stone issue and still continuing. The doctor kill you with tests but will never ever give you medicine. I still have to import my medicines from India. My stones came out themselves. The last one was treated by doctor. The health system is just so so crap.
Canada is the worst country in the world i came back 6 months back for good , if you own a house a good job or business in your home country never ever think of moving to canada it is not even worth to visit as a tourist 😅

I am specialist doctor in India and if we doctors don't see emergency within 2 mins patient's attendsnt will thrash us in emergency
