- Today we are going to be taking a look at the All new 2021 Scott Ransom 920 to find out what is new for this coming year! This bike is kitted out! lots of brand new pieces thrown on for this year and it sure is ready to shred!

Thanks for being patient while I figure stuff out with this channel. I decided a while back I would like to start taking this channel in a different direction with more detailed projects like this one, and it has been a bit of a process getting organized to do it with everything going on right now!

Do you guys think you'll get the new ransom?
My local trails are all steep fast decents with super chunk sections. Should I get this or a mega tower
@@deannadelgado5071 this is a great bike for the chunky stuff! With the twinloc it is like having three bikes in one, and that helps for transitioning to some flowier stuff! I cant speak to the megatower's descending ability but I am sure that the ransom would be a better climber!
I'm told the geometry on Scott's trail bikes is dated. Specifically as it pertains to seat tube angle. Thoughts?
@@71co0k well specifically speaking, 'dated" geometry as it stands around the seat tube angle usually means a bike still has a fairly slack seat tube angle, which this bike does. However this is misleading because so many brands use so many different methods of thought for this measurement. I.e Typically it is common for European bikes to feature a fairly steep seat tube angle, where as many north american bikes utilize a slacker angle. This bike is thoroughly modern in its geometry, and very long, low, and slack however, and being 29er and 27.5 capable is a huge benefit.
@@71co0k so dated... they have not updated the geo of their trail and categories in 3 years... all updates have only come to specs...

Everything good about that 2020 model is still here too! I loved that bike and have some friends who ride it and absolutely huck on it!!

I wonder how these bikes would run as mixed wheel, since they can run both from the factory.
One of my buddies runs this as a mullet and he loves it! It makes it a bit more agile and poppy while at the same time retaining the fast rolling nature of the 29's!

@Phillip1310 more expensive but worth it. The bosch system they employ on the eride is worth about $2500 on its own! Plus e bike specific suspension tune and twinloc!
Phillip1310 I live in Norway and the stores can’t deliver before March. That’s why. It’s really hard to buy from Scott for the retailer/ importers. Scott don’t make enough bikes. But I don’t mind waiting to March anyways. It’s winter soon 😉
1@@HeliTom84 Yeah it definitely hasn't helped that the supply lines have been so interrupted due to covid 19! But the bikes are on their way! Parts have been a lot harder to get ahold of these days, so a lot of the bike manufacturers have their bike ready, but just can't get the parts to complete the builds for their 2021 models!
I have Scott Ransom 920 2020 and it's awesome. It descends like a satan! I use it mostly on a DH tracks and it's really good even though it has a hard life with me xD

Wicked!! Good to hear, i absolutely loved the 2020 model too! The 38 is a welcome addition and well worth the extra weight! A 38 factory would fit really nicely onto your 2020....😉

great bike, but damn, I wish scott would get back to nice paint schemes... now they just offer blend colours that make their machines look so sad...

Garbage spec
38 perf? M6100 quad piston brakes? Eagle NX? NUDE? All seems pretty good to me especially considering the low price! But if you want an even better spec out of the box I would consider upping your price expectations!
