This one's been a bit delayed for no real reason BUT here we go, first ride of the Ransom 920! I hope it hypes you up as much as it hypes me up to go ride. 🤙
As someone who rides these woods a couple of times a week its always amazing how much stuff there is i still don't know about. Only found the last trail a week ago and that trail in upper witches I need to find too now!
People don't realise this trail he built is actually quite gnarly for normal riders. Makes it look so easy but its so steep and also really rooty which makes it slippery
Damn~ Slow down there Scotty! You might enter into the 5th dimension! Haha Is that Scott Jacket available to buy in the US? Never seen it but would love to have it for next fall/winter season!
Do you happen to know what the features for the rear shock are? It doesn't have the linear/progressive switch like the tuned ransom...but can you still add tokens? Mess with pressure? Is there any rebound/compression or other dials on the rear shock? Same goes for the front fork. Most importantly can you add tokens? Pressure is probably tunable, but what other dials/knobs does it have? I like to jump around a lot so it would be nice knowing that i can tune the shocks a little.
A air shock would be adjusted by air pressure this is a coil shock so to change you’d need a new spring. The shock here also has low and high speed rebound/compression which allows further tune ability.
@@ScottyLaughland ahh ok didnt notice you were running a coilshock. I was asking about the shocks that come stock on the bike, cause you cant find that info anywhere. Cant find the shock on the fox website (i get NO results for 205x65 shocks anywhere) and the fork i also have trouble finding if i can at least put tokens in. Or which settings i can tune. Thanks for the help though :)
Love how you rip up those corners, Scotty! I have a 920 Scott Genius, and love it! Hey, was wondering your height and what size bike you ride? You look pretty tall, so I'm guessing an XL, but then again maybe a large the way you handle those corners lol 🤙

What is the brand of your coilshock? Is it special for ransom ?

Ahh I’m stoked to hear you are loving it! I’m running a size large, 189cm. Went for the smaller frame for ease of throwing it around.
That GoPro pov 🤌🏼😍 did you use a gimbal ?
Sure did!
nice bike wish I could own it hahaha
oh don't we all! I mean, literally every time I see a youtuber post a #newbikeday vid, i just start droolin over it lmao
Does the DHX2 fit the frame or do you have to make some modifications?
This model fits as stock, I’d however recommend the DHX shock!
Hi ! I was wondering, why did you choose an alluminium frame over a carbon one ? 🤔
I wanted to have a alloy for bike park and stuff but that was cancelled with Covid...
@@ScottyLaughland Can u tell me the main difference between carbon and alluminium on bikes.. And which one is better and why
Is the Scott ransom 920 2021 good for big jumps ?
Yessir! You’d be able to tackle almost anything in Whistler for example on it…
@@ScottyLaughland
Thank you 🙏🏾👍🏽
Hä? I dońt understand, why are you not just staying at home in that conditions?
It was too nice a day not too! Cold but lots of fun...
