Thank you for reacting to this exact version. It‘s from his Arnau concert in Kazakhstan in 2019. Here he sings in Italian. Dimash sang this song many times after this performance as well. But honestly, some things just don’t get any better. I think this is epic. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the video and every, really every time my heart starts to race and I get goosebumps. That facial expression after singing the high notes. Wow, what a beast he can be. He then completely captivates me🫣. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. In my opinion, Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅.

Ikanaide means 'don't go' and has a sad but true backstory. If you want to know about it, all you have to do is react to Autumn Strong from Gloria Wu channel with backstory. It’s the same song but here he sings this song in Mandarin with slightly different lyrics. Or I'm sure another Dear will explain the story😅.

Ikanaide (the original) was written by the Japanese singer Koji Tamaki in 1989.
This song is sooo beautiful❤️. And he performed it with so much emotions. You literally can feel his pain😪. His first song in Japanese. He has been invited to perform at the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2021. But he couldn't go to Japan because of Covid. So he had to sing it from the studio in China. There he took part in the show Shine! Super Brothers. I’m not sure but I think it was his studio in China. But I do know he got a studio as a gift for his birthday.
If the Japanese reactors are to be believed, Dimash sang in perfect Japanese. Some also claimed that it was better Japanese than many Japanese themselves😅.

transitioning from the low baritone/tenor register to the high soprano register is indeed dufficult if one is not properly trained...Dimash HAS been taking voice lessons/training since he was 5 yrs old...in his teens he was a member of a choir where he sang in the soprano section with young girls & he was the ONLY male there even after hitting puberty...he is THAT rare combination of pure talent, hard work & dedication to his craft...even now, he still consults with voice teachers to make sure that he is singing the right way, training 3-4 hours a day...thank you for reacting to him...MABUHAY! from the Philippines...

The "pianist" is Igor Krutroy the composer of the piece and many others with Dimash. He accompanies on the Piano when Dimash sang his songs. Igor is ultra famous. I know what you were trying to say about the transition. Every time I hear this, it sounds like he's doing a duet with himself, doing both voices simultaneously! From what I've been able to gather, I think it's because he uses a dropped larynx of a baritone in a high register of an alto. So it literally sounds like both voice at once. Spectacular!

No, the song was not recomposed, but only re-recorded under Pandemic conditions without an audience (Dimash Digital Show). But, in fact, this Astana recording is the non plus ultra imho. Some things just can't be done better. I am by nature also gifted with a better falsetto than usual, among choral singers at least but he just leaves me behind so soon. And sometimes he doesn't use that typical countertenor falsetto but something else much more resembling a soprano. Like on 2.50 start = falsetto and then suddenly 3:06 and 3:09 he falls out of timbre for one word only
