You would probably have done better watching the fancam version from Astana concert. It's so close up you can see practically every movement of his mouth, jaw and throat. There's moments his larynx actually disappears and his throat hollows out when he moves into the highest notes.

Opinions vary from one singer to another depending on what you personally resonate with, but I don't cry easily and the first time I heard Akkuym (MV version specifically) and the first time I saw Olympico I cried. No one loves all the same stuff, the world would be boring if we all sought out exactly the same kinds of enjoyment and joy in the world. There is a wonderful fancam version of his Arnau Kinetic Voice concert performance of Olimpico that focuses on his face for the entire song. You can see every mouth movement even tiny shape adjustments, lip and throat vibrations very visibly. I've watched all available performances of Dimash singing Olimpico and the only time his vibrato was a tiny bit shaky in parts was when he was singing on a small round disk trying to keep his balance while it moved over the ice rink in the air to the other side then down to the ground with nothing to hang on to. Argh! Scary to watch him do that! Someone asked a fellow vocal teacher to describe Dimash in one word and he said "Fearless". I couldn't agree more. You should watch his opening number at the recent Almaty concert! The term "throat in mouth " comes to mind.
It was really a live, I saw the rehearsals with Dimash and all the singers, it's very rare that he does playback, except when certain TV shows don't allow it, for example. And all the singers had a microphone in front of their mouth, not in their hands like Dimash

Ich weiß nicht ob diese Version ist live, aber ich habe Dimasch 2 Mal live gesehen und gehört. Olimpico war beide Male dabei und es klang immer ein bisschen anders. Aber immer perfekt. Es gibt ein paar Lieder, wo Dimasch improvisiert nicht und es ist immer da, wo Orchester und Chor ist aufgenommen, weil nixh jede Bühne ist fur solche Auftritte geeignet. Opinions vary from one singer to another depending on what you personally resonate with, but I don't cry easily and the first time I heard Akkuym (MV version specifically) and the first time I saw Olympico I cried.
No one loves all the same stuff, the world would be boring if we all sought out exactly the same kinds of enjoyment and joy in the world.
I love all kinds of music, anything that can bring you joy or support you through sorrow is good stuff in my book.
I never understand how what some people like and someone else doesn't becomes some big disagreement. If you don't like it, don't watch it. If you do, then seek it out.

Whether this performance was truly live or not doesn't matter to me. I've seen other performances where it is live, and sounds just as impressive. And Igor Krutoy composed this piece for Dimash so the lows and highs were meant for him.
It does matter. Just not as much - because it's Dimash. No one wants to see a lip-synced performance.

There is a wonderful fancam version of his Arnau Kinetic Voice concert performance of Olimpico that focuses on his face for the entire song. You can see every mouth movement even tiny shape adjustments, lip and throat vibrations very visibly. I've watched all available performances of Dimash singing Olimpico and the only time his vibrato was a tiny bit shaky in parts was when he was singing on a small round disk trying to keep his balance while it moved over the ice rink in the air to the other side then down to the ground with nothing to hang on to. Argh! Scary to watch him do that!
Someone asked a fellow vocal teacher to describe Dimash in one word and he said "Fearless". I couldn't agree more. You should watch his opening number at the recent Almaty concert! The term "throat in mouth " comes to mind.

It was really a live, I saw the rehearsals with Dimash and all the singers, it's very rare that he does playback, except when certain TV shows don't allow it, for example. And all the singers had a microphone in front of their mouth, not in their hands like Dimash

It is absolutely wonderful and takes you to the stars! You feel so energetic when it is over (and exhausted! )

Ich weiß nicht ob diese Version ist live, aber ich habe Dimasch 2 Mal live gesehen und gehört. Olimpico war beide Male dabei und es klang immer ein bisschen anders. Aber immer perfekt. Es gibt ein paar Lieder, wo Dimasch improvisiert nicht und es ist immer da, wo Orchester und Chor ist aufgenommen, weil nixh jede Bühne ist fur solche Auftritte geeignet. Aber Dimasch kling nie gleich. Du kannst immer hören in seine Performance unterschiedliche Nuance

For your own pleasure, and for comparison, I would recommend his most recent live performance of Olympico at Almaty (Stranger concert Almaty video 1 at 17.50 mins in) - to my very untrained ear he seems to have strengthened his delivery of this song and there are some subtle extras (eg I think I noticed some different onsets ?).
