So Ciel could make a new body for X, or Cyber Elf X was able to take back his body before Elpizo destroyed it since X realized that no matter what the Dark Elf was going to be freed.
man this design is perfect, having the profile of X series and the sleekiness of the Zero series. If capcom ever decides to remake these games , they need to have this kind of design for the characters. awesome work dude

This is brilliant! Fourth Armor X is one of my favorites, and I really love how it includes both the Stock Shot and the Plasma Shot along with the Nova Strike and other special weapons like Rising Fire!
I dunno...I actually like the more Magmard Dragoon style of sending a shot up with a swarm of meteors coming back down. (But then I always thought that what X actually got in X4 for the Rising Fire was pure crap, an insult to fire weapons across all continuities. The charged version?? The Shouryuu-ken in X2 was better looking than that.)
The Fourth Armor looks really good! The charged Rising Fire and Nova Strike were really exciting to see. Every update I see you post here is really exciting. I'm really looking forward to seeing what special weapons are added in the future, as well as the implementation of the hover.
I was going to post it without Rising Fire, but since Zero has more action, X's action alone wasn't enough. In the future, I would like to increase X's actions even further and make him a playable character comparable to Zero.

Mainly I will replace the recoil rod action with a special weapon. It is suitable because it has a large number of assigned actions. What I'm worried about is the relationship with the element chip. The ZERO series has several mechanisms that are activated by combinations of attributes and weapons. In the case of Zero, I want to thoroughly increase sword skills, so I will not include other melee weapons such as recoil rods and X7 and X8. I will also make triple slash available in the X4 style, allowing players to use two types of triple slashes. I will also make it possible for players to use what I have already shown in the "vs Omega" video I released.

The project will be a story about arranging X5. The bosses will be the successive executive bosses. The mods will be separate for X and Zero. And, Users can enjoy the story of ZERO3 by using the mod for the player character only. It will take a long time to complete these.

yes. Air dashes have long been possible by using codes, but there is a bug that allows players to air dash as many times as they like while in the air. I would like to include it if it can be improved.

Omega Hack and X1ZERO mod are the two beginnings of mods. The size balance of X1ZERO's sprites was amazing. The X1 ZERO mod is very good because it maintains the same size as the ZERO series.
@@PainDir I agree with you my only very very tiny nitpick with the mod is i think they should of had the saber be only a 1 slash instead of the regular 3 slash combo because he never had the saber 3 slash combo in x1 (well he didnt have the saber) but i think it would atleast make more sense
its so cool... since this mod look very advanced, I wanna ask something, is it possible to increase the field of view? the main crutch with MMZ was because the GBA screen was small, so there is only so much playing space possible while still keep the character sprites as big as they are... is it possible to extend the screen so you can see further horizontally and vertically?
thank you. I'm also concerned about the narrowness of the GBA screen. I think the screen size of the DS is similar to that of the SNES. I don't think I can make the screen wider with GBA. I've seen videos of people hacking camera positions. Even if I widen the front of my field of vision, the rear becomes narrower. What I can do in a GBA game is to create a level design that doesn't overwhelm the floor and ceiling as much as possible. The bat and fox stages are too small and feel oppressive. I'm also careful not to make the player a large sprite. If it's too big, it will be out of proportion to the screen.

This is truly a spectacular hack. I wish there were other armor hacks like this, like the hyper max armor for example, or maybe you could switch between different armors in 1 hack, but idk how hard it would be to have all of that data stored into a single rom
@@PainDirmy best guess - apply the same code that is used when wall-sliding. But instead, the movement should be locked to horizontal, not vertical. And it should be free, not locked and forced in one direction. Creating a new "action" using said code might allow using different animations from wall-sliding. I am not a programmer, but I know enough of how the coding usually works in such cases, due to being a game designer. So yes, the only thing is - I do not know how to write what I just said in Megaman Zero's code. But at least now you have a technical task description - "make function of [hold "Jump" in the air to activate wall-slide with no walls and with movement changes of that wall-slide]".😅 Or you can copy Megaman Zero 4's code for "grappling/rail-hanging" and change it's activation from holding "Up" on specific tiles to holding "Jump" in the air. That is a bit risky, but could work too, and it even has different animations from the wall-slide.

The first thing I thought of was to set the altitude gained in a double jump to 0, make the flight time depend on how long the jump button was held down, and since the original program was a jump, the X-axis could move freely. However, when jumping, pressing the direction key backwards will reverse the player's direction. Originally Hovering doesn't change direction even if i put the key behind. I looked into a program for a double jump, but when I set the altitude to 0, the jump itself ended in an instant and I fell. The flight time may not be programmed. Your idea of 4's code for "grappling/rail-hanging" may be a little similar. As you said, the problem is the technology to incorporate it to make it work in the Zero series. When I write an article about "program recruitment" on the community tab, I will also paste this communication. X here in this case already knows about Weil and anything about him, I can however see him collecting evidence in order to remove him from leadership and bring him to trial for the most recent criminal actions.
If I may ask, will you include a Command Mission version of X for this rom hack? I'm a big fan of that design and have worked on it for a few years in the PS1 version of the character.
The sprite you created is amazing. I've seen it before. My project does not include Command Mission X for now. It takes more than 2 to 3 months to create a player character, even for characters that don't have saber moves, so it's difficult to incorporate characters that aren't in the plan. In the case of command mission X, I also need ideas for things like what to do with special weapons. For command mission content, I'm considering Ferrum, Redips, and Zero's weapon, Gurenken. There is a possibility that I will make a command mission X after making all the armor for X1-6, but it is quite a long way off. Level design and creating new bosses will be prioritized first.

One small note: Plasma shot is supposed to have an left over orb that does additional damage for a short period of time. Otherwise, great work overall.
What?! Where did you get Sakurai Takahiro's voice saying "Rising Fire"? When X4 launched, X's voice is still Morikubo Showtaro's. This is VERY interesting.
Dunno if it's a side effect of the mod, or just me... But every time you land a charge shot, I hear the sound effect you hear when Zero himself takes damage. keeps causing me to glance at the health bar a few times...
You noticed it well. I decided that the original SE when hitting an enemy was too light, so I replaced it with the SE when the player takes damage. There is a possibility that it will change to X4's SE, but since Zero has both Saber and Buster, the SE when he hits Buster will be the same SE as when he slashes. But maybe that's the case with X5.
@@PainDir don't forget that X6 has X using both as well, so I would imagine they have different sounds for the hits, with the slashes almost sounding like a whip when hitting multiple times (which kinda suits Zero 2's Chain Rod, now that I think about it). as far as using player damage to give hits a bit more oomph, the first thing I can think of that isn't too obvious would be X taking damage in X5 specifically, X4 (in English) and X6 have him clearly grunting when he takes damage, but not so much in X5...
I think the best way is to have different hit sounds for Buster and Saber, but that would be very difficult to program. This is a story when the player is Zero, but if the sound when the enemy is defeated and explodes is the X4 sound, it feels great when using Saber, but the same sound is also produced when Zero defeats an enemy with Buster. I also find it strange that even though it's a buster, it clearly has a slash sound. So it's on hold.
Have you thought about releasing a beta or something? Because I've been seeing how many years this is being done and it reminds me of Jkbgames that has never released a beta either :/
Lately, I've been getting a lot of comments expressing their dissatisfaction with Jkbgames. Beta version will not be released. This is because the sprites I create for my project are used in other games at will before my game is complete. This was already proven in the early days of video posting. Also, I sometimes get comments asking for sprites.

Do you believe that, in this engine, it would be doable to replicate an immediate character swap, such as the one in "MMX2 Soul Eraser" for the GBC? This is based on ZERO3. MEGAMAN ZX for NDS includes character switching. I think it will be possible to make a mod based on ZX and switch characters. Also, I've always felt that the small screen of the GBA is a drawback, so I would like to move my mods to the NDS someday. That will be after the GBA mod is completed. The screen ratio and balance between characters and stages on the NDS are closer to the SNES.

Stock charge cannot be programmed yet.
I want to be able to gradually stock up on bullets as time passes.

If I may ask, will you include a Command Mission version of X for this rom hack? I'm a big fan of that design and have worked on it for a few years in the PS1 version of the character.

My project does not include Command Mission X for now.
It takes more than 2 to 3 months to create a player character, even for characters that don't have saber moves, so it's difficult to incorporate characters that aren't in the plan.
In the case of command mission X, I also need ideas for things like what to do with special weapons.
For command mission content, I'm considering Ferrum, Redips, and Zero's weapon, Gurenken.
There is a possibility that I will make a command mission X after making all the armor for X1-6, but it is quite a long way off. Level design and creating new bosses will be prioritized first.

One small note: Plasma shot is supposed to have an left over orb that does additional damage for a short period of time. Otherwise, great work overall.
Is there anyway to recreate the Plasma Shot?
The residual plasma orb is shown in the Ultimate Armor video. However, the additional damage program has not been programmed yet.

What?! Where did you get Sakurai Takahiro's voice saying "Rising Fire"? When X4 launched, X's voice is still Morikubo Showtaro's. This is VERY interesting.

Dunno if it's a side effect of the mod, or just me... But every time you land a charge shot, I hear the sound effect you hear when Zero himself takes damage.

You noticed it well.
I decided that the original SE when hitting an enemy was too light, so I replaced it with the SE when the player takes damage.
There is a possibility that it will change to X4's SE, but since Zero has both Saber and Buster, the SE when he hits Buster will be the same SE as when he slashes.
But maybe that's the case with X5.
@@PainDir don't forget that X6 has X using both as well, so I would imagine they have different sounds for the hits, with the slashes almost sounding like a whip when hitting multiple times (which kinda suits Zero 2's Chain Rod, now that I think about it).
as far as using player damage to give hits a bit more oomph, the first thing I can think of that isn't too obvious would be X taking damage in X5 specifically, X4 (in English) and X6 have him clearly grunting when he takes damage, but not so much in X5...
I think the best way is to have different hit sounds for Buster and Saber, but that would be very difficult to program.
This is a story when the player is Zero, but if the sound when the enemy is defeated and explodes is the X4 sound, it feels great when using Saber, but the same sound is also produced when Zero defeats an enemy with Buster. I also find it strange that even though it's a buster, it clearly has a slash sound.
So it's on hold.

日本語で大丈夫です。アクセルのスプライトや動きを作ることは可能ですが、変身システムはさすがに専門のプログラマーがいないと無理ですね。あと7方向連射バスターもまだ仕組みがわからないので現状では私には無理です。

Have you thought about releasing a beta or something? Because I've been seeing how many years this is being done and it reminds me of Jkbgames that has never released a beta either :/
Lately, I've been getting a lot of comments expressing their dissatisfaction with Jkbgames.
Beta version will not be released. This is because the sprites I create for my project are used in other games at will before my game is complete.
This was already proven in the early days of video posting. Also, I sometimes get comments asking for sprites.

Do you believe that, in this engine, it would be doable to replicate an immediate character swap, such as the one in "MMX2 Soul Eraser" for the GBC? I believe something like that would make X and Zero work as a dynamic team once again.

MEGAMAN ZX for NDS includes character switching. I think it will be possible to make a mod based on ZX and switch characters.
Also, I've always felt that the small screen of the GBA is a drawback, so I would like to move my mods to the NDS someday.
That will be after the GBA mod is completed.
The screen ratio and balance between characters and stages on the NDS are closer to the SNES.
I want to ask, is this a rom hack or a fangame on PC?
GBA . It also works with GBA emulators on PC and smartphones.
