    I remember seeing your tutorial one year ago thinking this was too far up the ladder, and it was. Now however it is time to learn more complicated edits and dude, you rock explaining it. It is so awesome there is peeps like you showing all of this to us. Truly am grateful for what you are doing.

    You rock, man! Love the tut. Subscribing. Would you make a video of a title which appears as if forming out of smoke, and then disappears as a puff of smoke again. You know, creating an illusion of a smoke forming a text for a moment, and then going back to being ordinary smoke again. I formed such title effect in my mind many years ago, but never was able to make it in any tool I had so far. Would you take on such challenge? Appreciate the help indeed!

    So the more I begin to use Davinci the more I like it, this is helpful, though Im wondering if you'd be able to take it just a step further instead. Would you happen to create a tutorial on the typewriter effect, but make it specifically each individual word? I feel like it would be the same concept in a way if not completely identical to how you're doing this in execution with just one or 2 things changed.

  • @TerenceKearns
    @TerenceKearns 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dude, I actually followed this one through to the end. When I first skimmed through it I thought "no way am I gonna even watch the whole thing" then I just did it so thanks again for another great tutorial. It was a bit of a pain having to deal with beta glitches. Sometimes I had to restart resolve. The end result took AGES to render. I think it was that motion blur on the warp grid (which I set to quality 8).

    • @TerenceKearns
      @TerenceKearns 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a tremendous amount of trouble trying to get it to animate without bugs - both in the playback windows and the rendered output. I messed around with enabling and disabling the GPU on the merge and transform nodes. The results weren't consistent. I re-enabled motion blur but I had to take the quality back to 2 which looks lame.
      I learnt a tonne of stuff by doing this exercise. Very glad I did it.

    • @TerenceKearns
      @TerenceKearns 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I turned the motion blur quality factor up to 4, I got massive flickering.
      Oh well. Thats beta software I guess. I might try rendering it in fusion 9.

    • @TerenceKearns
      @TerenceKearns 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Everything came across to Fusion 9 via the clipboard okay. I added a loader and a saver and hooked it up. Two main issues. 1) motion blur does not work. 2) some weird anomaly where mask rectangle sizes did not line up and when I expanded the box virtically, there are white pixels below each letter (a white underline bar).

    • @TerenceKearns
      @TerenceKearns 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had to go to the loader tool and click "Post multiply by alpha" on the IMPORT tab. This node-based editing is great. I was able to debug the thing by backtracing the nodes.

    I'm very new to Fusion. I'm looking at building a lower thirds that has a background ribbon, text, a logo, and also another logo/symbol that swoops in to join. Also, I would love for it to be made into something that i can just grab and reuse by just editing the text and/or choosing the logo from a set list (macro?). Would these be good specs for a future video?

I even looked through the menu bar, and all my NODES features were greyed out. You dropped in the transparent PUMA logo, click, click, click.... "Oh there we go" and I was lost. I played the clip back about 5 times and I have no idea how you opened up that pallet to get all those "elements" to make the changes to the logo.
