I know I am months late but Snake's favorite anime would be Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin, the anime where a bear hunting dog goes out and recruits an army of dogs to go fight an evil bear who killed his father, alongside his 3 evil bear generals while having to deal with an evil traitor dog named Snipah, help being an end to a decades long feud between rival ninja dog clans (and I cannot stress this enough, these are not dogs of ninja clans that are feuding, these are dogs that learned ninjitsu on their own, formed two clans and now hate each other) and also have to figure out how to travel between different islands in Japan (they just swim, because they are Very Burly Dogs). It has a sequel! The main character's name is Weed!
Ah the Maddie vs. Stairs episode! When I was watching the full playthrough, I was mad at chat for not helping but I guess that's better than back-seating or spoiling every few minutes! The Psycho Mantis encounter & the post-torture massage stuff lose their magic when being played on emulators, but newcomers wouldn't know to expect that without the moment being ruined, just missed opportunities.
