Self-control! SELF-CONTROL! As a recovered drug addict I had no Self-control. I couldn't stop using by myself. & People talking to me about a higher power helping me MADE NO SENSE TO ME! I knew that God was peace & love. I was a hippie, peace✌️ love 💞dove🕊️! But when I understood that the fruit of the spirit ~the very attributes of God himself~ Our free gift the Holy Spirit, who was now in me, could help me live in the nature of God. Love • joy • peace • patience • kindness • goodness • faithfulness • gentleness • SELF-CONTROL! I could finally believe that I could quit, I could leave that lifestyle behind. That was 40 years ago. Negativity and hate towards our fellow humans is what, I see. Then, comes others who are willing to give you the skin off their body and never expect a thing in return. Any simple act of kindness is a blessing 10 times over for yourself. ✌ The harder you work at being nice the easier it becomes, that's what, I know.
I’ve dealt with a lot of evil people who have tried to hurt me just for spite and I just see so many people who are cold and callous - occasionally I see good people but this area I live in is full of bichy cold people - and I look at the world and see negativity too.

I'm trying to make better decisions. I've gotten to move, since I started listening to Phil and his family. I was raised in church, but did all I could to not belong. Had a tough childhood, tougher marriage that she ended. It's a fight for my kids daily. My 2 oldest are 17 n 18, my boys, could care less to even return a text or call. I'm trying to make all right decisions, reading my Bible again...I'm lonely tho. Just want to be bigger part of my kids lives again, like I always was, and try to be now. They're mother just fights me constantly. The only faith I've had in a long time is thanks to these videos. Thank you🙏

You are good enough if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Build your relationship with him and the Sanctification process will occur naturally. Sinning is not looked upon with favor, but we are all naturally flawed. Nobody is sinless but the goal is to sin less. The sins of all believers will be forgiven. Just don't purposefully take advantage of God's mercy and grace.

This is why I didn't fit in with the kids my own age. Especially the ones in my grade. I was outcast, due to being raised by a stiff military man. By the book. No straying from that. This includes making your bed asap before you use the bathroom for the first time of the day. I never allowed myself to have fun. When I did, it still wasn't fun. But I can see where the other kids had lenient parents they were the cool kids, always having fun. Always joking around. Thanks for the realization Phil. Makes sense now to me. I always thought it was how I looked or cause I was poor was cause I didn't fit in. Thanks Mr Phil!

July 4th was my last day of smoking and drinking. I have to pray to God everyday to give me strength. I don't want to go back!
