Simplest tutorial I've seen yet. No over-complicated setup, just a few bits and pieces and you've got a functional leak down tester for not much money. Thanks for the great info!
Good job on the video and way to be creative. One bit of advice, if you keep your thread tape on the roll instead of tearing it off and roll it in the opposite direction that you did, it won’t have a tendency to unwind when putting fitting’s together!
Excellent. I have seen a few homemade ones - yours is very elegant in its simplicity. The fitting with the Schrader vve on it is absolutely perfect as was the plug (40 and 50mm) - I found all on Amazon. The $270 kit from MP will thus be built for $21 plus a PVC male to plain nipple (with a bush for different applications). More channel genius - thanks again! I'll look for a bulb type inflator (bit less aggressive) and a stethoscope (both from a blood pressure cheapo kit on amazon) to complete my system - the box will cost more :-)
Found it in the gas fittings aisle at Home Depot: www.homedepot.com/p/HOME-FLEX-15-psi-Gas-Pressure-Test-Gauge-11-801-007/206997510 Looks like there are a bunch on amazon too: amzn.to/47SQXZa

FYI, the exhaust plug is called a "drain test plug" mine was 40mm or 1.5".

Glad it helped! I've used it on a few builds so far with just a little electrical tape adjustments for boots
What did you search for to find the fitting with the Schrader valve and pressure gauge?
I dont understand how someone could wind PTFE tape counter to direction of winding? Is there some secret code?
Where did you source the fitting for the gauge and Schreader valve?

@@GarageAddiction Purchased today with a couple of fittings. Thank you for your timely response.
anyone got tips for plugging the exhuast on a kx250?
exhaust port is larger and no plugs to plug it
On my cr85 I picked up one of these in a 1 inch. Not sure how big the 250 exhaust is but you might find something. amzn.to/3VVPoW4
