    It looks like this mini chainsaw has excellent overheating protection, which makes me very bullish, my last chainsaw burned up due to overheating, which makes me very sad. I can't wait to try this chainsaw. Looks like two batteries will last for a long time too!🥰

      Thanks for watching! It pays to give these saws a little break if they start to get hot. I was cutting stuff a little bit bigger than what this saw was designed to cut that much of, but I wanted to give it a good test.

    The Milwaukee mini chainsaw does have a oil reserve so if you check that out I'm sure you'll be happy to find out there is a chain saw that is something that is exactly what you want

    This is a great chain saw provided you don't use it for more than trimming. Demerits for no oiler ( I spray sticky motorcycle chain lube on it intermittently ) and one other for the two safety hold downs to operate. I read where some folks secure the safety switch so it's depressed all the time, then all you do is assume it's ready to go like a started gas chain saw. Of course that defeats the supposed safety...do it at your own risk. As far as cutting they must have used the best chain possible because it really does well.. It lasts as long as I do meaning I'm ready to take a break when the battery needs charging.. I then take the fully charged battery and start recharging the used up one... I was so impressed I bought a 14 inch 40 volt chain saw as well.. I'm far from a battery guy but I'm an older and really getting to dislike the constant yanking of the cord.. that and the carb cleanout if you don't use it for a while. Just pull the trigger with this..

      Thanks for watching and sharing your story. I have reviewed several of these saws which were sent to me in exchange for the review video. Only one of them had an automatic chain oiler on it, and that was the Olamlo. If you look through my chainsaw stuff playlist I do a video on it. I think it has an 8 inch bar.
      I do a lot of mountain bike trail maintenance where it is tough to carry a gas chainsaw because of the weight for miles into the woods. For smaller stuff I use one of these type saws and for the bigger stuff I have a DeWalt 20 volt with a 16 inch Husqvarna bar on it. They make a 40 and a 60 volt, and I think the 40 is supposed to be the torqueest. I opted for the 20 volt because it was the lightest and most compact. It does remarkably well with the 10 amp hour battery. I even had a company send me a knockoff 9 amp hour battery which sells for under half the price of the DeWalt brand and have been using it for over a year extensively with no issues and it lasts almost as long as the 10 amp hour DeWalt. I will be posting a short video soon showing the DeWalt 20 volt with the 16-in bar making 89 cuts on four and a half inch semi-dried cherry. That was with the battery that had already made a couple cuts that day.

      @@themostlymikeshow Yes, this unit is nice and light. Friend of mine brings a hand saw when we go out dirt bike riding in the mountains of Pa.. This would be a much better option. Probably could strap it on the rear rack somehow.. Case is a big plus.. The 40V 14 inch bar on the bigger saw does not provide any weight advantage.. The real plus is not having to pull the cord to start it..

    Is this compatible with a well-known yellow & black D W battery?

      Thanks for watching. No, this saw will not run on a DeWALT battery, but there is one that I reviewed in the past that is Dewalt compatible. I'll copy the link and post it under this comment.

    I was checking out the battery life. I'm going to buy a 20v ratchet wrench that uses the same 20v battery.

      Thanks for watching! I hope that yours serves you well. I thought that this saw performed pretty good considering it's price.

    How long dose the battery last on 1 CHARGE?

    • @themostlymikeshow
      @themostlymikeshow  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching CatNip. The testing part of this video was done on one charge, so you could expect that many cuts. The type of wood, diameter of the log, and dryness can all be factors on how long a battery will last. I hope that this helps.

    I didnt see you testing out the included safety glasses. Impressive how long that battery lasted.

      Thanks Garry! Yeah, I have to wear prescription safety glasses and those wouldn't fit over my regular ones.
