- Hello, this is how to modify your Delonghi Coffee Grinder KG79 to finer grind. Just follow the steps thoroughly.
This is a THOROUGH step by step without mistake.

We were calibrating our coffee machine and experiencing less pressure earlier because the coffee grounds were not in its finest. I have the same grinder and when I saw the video, I was able to follow the step by step procedures on how to adjust the grind setting. This one has been very helpful to me. Hi i did the same hack just moved few teeths so the burrs won't rub
I get perfect esspresso shots used it 6 8 times but now I can see my burrs damaging from the corners both of my burrs
I don't know it is fine or it will damage my whole burrs and won't be able to get a good esspresso grind in future

You can simply cut off the pin on the white cog, so then you can later set grinding to any level. It sounds scary but it's not, because you can always turn it to the minimum to find out, where is the limit and then go back a few ticks. Thanks to this, if you want to grind even finer, you don't need to modify it once again
Also you don't beed to to remove the hopper with those 4 screws, simply unscrew the white cog and cut it
45 degres is enough. You don't want push 2 burr too close...
Did you mean 90 degres, cause the guy in the video turns the gear 90 degres?

does any one have the expensive knowledge of how far the two burrs can come closer ultimately? In this video it was 1/4 turn of the big white gear. Has anyone tried any thing bigger?
this video was around 10 clicks adjustment. Max is 13 before they begin to touch. DOn't bother pushing this far it is cheap device, and burrs will end up flaking into your coffee or whatever. Just spend the extra 50-60
Some people say the grind distribution of this grinder sucks. Does it still suck at smaller grind sizes?
