About your barn, have you considered quonset hut. I think it is at Steel Builders. They shed the snow naturally and you don't have to worry about snow load. Once you do the prep work the company states that you can raise the structure in a weekend. You could have an old time barn raising with a modern twist. 😊
They make hanging dishes, I would consider getting one and attaching it inside the goat hutch and filling it with the goat mineral and leaving it free choice. Your goats will do much better if they are allowed to access it 24/7 and eat as much or little as they like. Some need a lot and some need very little, and they know how much they need. Most goat minerals will say to offer free choice on the bag as well, for the above reason. Just a thought.
This time I watched you on the big screen TV gosh I didn't realize how beautiful your eyes are and I like your eyeshadow mostly I watch you on my smart phone because I don't have a computer or a laptop bunny. Love be having some baby bunny soon well, you guys got snow we don't hear in Indiana where I live, but it has been -14° and we are not used to that type of cold when the roads are bad, I can't leave my place either. It's a dead end road goes up the hill and I only have rear wheel drive vehicle. Silly me when I got this car. I wasn't thinking because my other car at least had front wheel drive which helped I'm glad that your children can help you with the farm animals. I'm glad all the animals are doing well. Stay warm. Take care.
Hey someone told me a jug or salt water put in the water will help it not to freeze dang I saved a video for u but don’t know how to bring it back up man I thought of you when o saw it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good morning. I sure wish you had mentioned about getting the thick ice out. I finally figured that out a few days ago but my poor ducks. I'm in Texas. I shouldn't be having to break ducks water. PLEASE BE NICE MOTHER NATURE I'M FREEZING IN TEXAS WAAAA
Cows need a pure salt block in the winter months that's what makes them cut back on their hay intake. Also, if you buy hay that's not wrapped and it sits out in the weather they won't eat the first 2 layers, that may be the reason they make the mess you've been having to clean up all the time. Hope this helps. ❤
Good morning Sweetheart. Looks wintery there. Chilly here too. I'm in Colorado but NO snow at all where we're at ..Have a great day. Maxi has the most gentle little face. His eyes SMILE....🥶
Good Morning Sweet Lady❤ Hope your all staying warm🥰Like you I'm so looking forward to SunShine & Spring🌞Take Care & Love & Blessings🙏🏽from Burkesville KY💙
Good evening sweet well evening time here, hope your all staying warm i truly feel for you with the amount of snow uve got, and having to be ouf in it as much as you do.we moved from somewhere that has lots of snow in winter to somewhere that doesn't have any and we don't miss it all, it looks beautiful until you have to work in it lol. Stay as warm as possible Much love from Hampshire UK 💛
Yes it's cold everywhere.. it even snowed a good amount in Pensacola Florida im in central Florida no snow down this far but is very cold .. that has to be freezing on your hand having to pick out ice...🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰
I have been raising beef cattle for over 35 years up in NY, if my cattle's automatic waterer was to freeze up & I can't take care of it right away the cows will eat snow however I do fill up a Rubbermaid tube for them as a matter of fact about 6 or7 years ago I had an issue with either the water & it was a few days before I could fix it & they just ate snow they were perfectly safe not too mention there are ranches out west that don't have any water sources just snow & thier cattle are fine
If their wasting food/hay they are getting to much. I look at it like this grain is supplementing for less hay during winter. During summer if correct size field cows don’t need much feed if any during summer. They free range if field is good enough. I don’t know many farmers that feed twice a day either. If they do feed twice a day during winter the amount of food is really regulated. Some animals are hard keepers, so they’d be separated and fed twice while others are not. But everyone does it differently. I’m just trying to help with ideas.
I would suggest getting rid of the hay burner and the cow with the sensitive stomach. Cows can usually handle crap hay and feed. They have many stomachs for that reason. Horses are sensitive to everything but not cows. Just food for thought.
Take all the commodity that you have left and INSIST that wherever you got it from takes it back! Let them know it is making your cows very sick. Also, contact the manufacturer and let them know as well. Maybe there is a contaminant in that feed! Do not feed any more of it to any of your livestock!
Im not sure how you would like them but the big hay nets for the round bales are a less mess solution :) since the cows are messy with the hay. Idk if you had tried them already tho but thought of suggesting the hay nets. I love watching your videos!
I was literally was just thinking as i was watching your video about how cold your hands must be and then went out to do chores and had to do the same thing with my kunes water hahah. Im in canada and we just got through a -20 -30 cold snap. Hopefully this warm weather stays for a bit!!
Make sure there's been no recall or complaints on the food that you feed them. Just in case that might be going on. It's a possibility that it could be affecting other people's animals and I just hadn't recalled it yet or something.
What state do you live in? Just curious because of the weather and high delivery fee for hay, difficulty getting hay, difficulty getting ahold of hoof trimmer and Vets not on call in farm country. I live in an agricultural state and even though I am not a farmer, I don't hear our farmers complaining about these things. My daughter has horses and has no trouble getting hay or the trimmer or Vet.
@@TheCrazyFarmWife I don't think that I could handle that. If the wind didn't blow maybe I could handle it. But the wind seems to blow the worst in the winter. We have had a lot of high wind warnings.
Will they not allow you to return it? I would think that if it’s making your animals sick and there’s something wrong with their feed that they should return it definitely has to be a bad batch or something. Remember when it’s been like it might’ve been like a couple of years ago, but like pedigree had a recall on all of their food because there was something that got in there that was making animal sick and actually dying so I mean that’s a lot of feet to not be able to utilize that you guys have purchased and I would look atit back and exchange it
Same worh blue mountain always recalled. Now eggs like wtf is happening to the food n animal food. We might as well make our own. Id check recalls on grain too can call the health unit or animal all that check out food.
Yes, I remember lots of recalls on pet food for salmonella. I'd definitely tell them and go from there. I would think they would want to make it right instead of losing business from people. My guess is if your animals are sick from it, so are other people's. Good luck 😊
Be careful with those. They enated to make get them yet I'm now 50 n I'm fine. Was rold every child that did it made things worse. Caused damage to hearing. I camt beleive they still do this. They stopped it in ontario in schools n suppose to be for good. No offence I just felt.i needed to do something. My mom knows more about it. But I wish you the best ❤
@@MsLori-BassGirl4Life, 4 of my 5 kiddos had to have them. Our little one has already lost hearing in one ear. As soon as the tubes are in, the hearing comes back almost instantly. Thank you though. I will be careful with them.

I hate dealing with the frozen water bowls it's a daily nightmare in this weather. But how sweet your children are always happily help their mama 😊
I think the frozen water is the worst part about winter. Thankfully spring is just around the corner.
You should get some heaters to go in the water troughs to keep them from freezing.

Everything froze here but thankfully it's thawed out now. I think the frozen ice is the hardest part!
Hopefully things will get better sending good wishes from England
I have the same problem The roads are good but I can't get out of the holler here in WV
We live in western NY and when you were scooping the ice out of the water I could just "feel" how cold that was.

Can Daisy be used for meat? Please people don’t hate me. I’m curious.
How much hay do you need?
10 - 15 bales
@ round bales right?
Investigate that with the power company, because that is how Lahaina Maui and Paradis CA burned.
Ok, your kids are awesome!! Love how they work as hard as you and thier dad!! You keep doing you, and forget (f*@k) the naysayers! ❤

I'm not sure if it works, but I read in a comment that you can put electrolyte powder in their water and it won't freeze.
How cold does it get there? I live in North Carolina and right now it is 2.
It normally only gets down into the teens but this morning it was negative 15 👎🏼. Definitely not normal weather for our area.

If sows are squishing babies they just need bigger nursery pens.
Don't get rid of giggly Jiggles!!
She is definitely leaving. A bigger pen wouldn't have made a difference. Jingles has other issues too and needs to leave.
