Not just JK, there are 7 members in BTS and all are equally as talented as each other. They don't try to be the lead singer, dancer or rapper they are all very capable. Jimin is the only member who is a classically trained dancer and was top student at Busan. He's also a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. He incorporates his martial arts moves and contemporary dance into BTS performances and thats what usually draws people into BTS, RM has said without Jimins vocal range and dance moves they wouldn't be as good. I love all 7 and am tired of all the anti Jimin stuff I see so I'm making a stand for him.

Short answer, this dude is a member of BTS and an amazing producer, composer, writer, human being. 😎 Longer answer - AgustD is to Slim Shady as SUGA is to Eminem and as Min Yoongi is to Marshall Bruce Mathers III 💜 if you flip the letters of AgustD you will get Dtsuga = Dt (Daegu Town - the name of the underground hip hop group he was part of before BTS, named after his hometown of Daegu) then SUGA (his BTS stage name). 💜he uses “AgustD” pronounced like the month followed by saying the letter D, for his solo mixtape releases and his last album....he said this persona let’s him be more raw and direct.... he uses “SUGA” when performing as the BTS member persona.... ☮. Love him regardless what he calls himself😬💜 He has said the last album is the last of the AgustD trilogy [and there is a trilogy of tracks that go together so to speak as well - Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala). He has two other MVs for songs from his album [the prerelease called “People Pt.2 (feat. IU)’ and ‘AMYGDALA’ which is very very deep and tells some of what he’s been through - caution watching it from an emotional trigger perspective]. He also has a dance practice video to this song. He also released some “live clips” for some of this tracks and performed it live on the Jimmy Fallon show. Enjoy!
Edit: SUGA is short for Shooting Guard, one of his favorite positions in basketball, which he used to play a lot and is pretty good at 🏀

It becomes an "anime track" when one distances oneself from the lyrics and leaves saying I wish it was in English when there were captions there the whole time. Tracks aren't written to embellish the videos which precede them like movie scores. Videos are created after the track to add new dimensions creating an entire interactive experience. So especially with BTS works, Suga being a BTS rapper, lyrics hold the crux of the messaging. Music videos are layered on top so if you interpret based on video "anime" you wind up explaining a shooting storyboard. The lyrics here are rather deep. Try rereading the second verse. It is pretty straightforward to understand. And it is top tier messaging. You missed the mark here by quite a bit.

I agree with but also we army have to remember that today's music is not by any means intellectual like bts's music I don't do the nationality of this guy but I know if it's America people are not used to digging into music anymore. They are used to the surface level hints why JK full English album has a very good but more surface level message then the other members and also remember some people just can't read as fast as others. He had trouble with the word differentiate. Which is totally okay but you know you never know the person story so maybe be easier army💜

@@linseyvega2397 Totally fair points but when running a reaction channel which reaches the level of monetization one should be trying to up one's game. I will give it to him he deserves credit for taking on Agust D. However, when hearing the extended cadence of the "slaves to" sequence of bars he should have had a light go on. Maybe something real is being said. Virtually every reactor stops when they hear the line "slaves to TH-cam".
To me, even if a disproportionate amount of American rap is relatively vacuous, I would assume he was exposed to American rap which actually discussed real things. Frankly, I don't know. The words do go by quickly but chewing and walking at the same time doesn't mean you have to chew thoroughly like a cow. Picking up a bar here or there would show attention to the lyrics. Noticing the driven intensity of the second verse flow would have shown attention to a lyrical event occurring . He did stop at the bathtub scene, but I am not sure that his first attention to a bar wasn't stimulated by seeing a gun.
I think he set his mental table real early with his unfortunate anime comment. He then repeated the term anime at the end. He rutted himself. So again good on him for watching Agust D, but I simply felt it constructive to point out his reacting has some real room for growth.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that he was right to seemly not put in the effort into understanding music. actually I think the problem with most muggle reactors ( as RM said lol!) The MV for Amygdala leaves the door closed with no resolution but Suga's final performance of it during DDay opens the door which closes that chapter. SUGA aka Agust D is a genius rapper, producer, songwriter, and just an overall amazing individual. He produced, and wrote this song himself, no one else has credit on this track.
    *Suga aka Agust D's Trilogy:*
    Agust D - Daechwita (turn on CC's) - th-cam.com/video/qGjAWJ2zWWI/w-d-xo.html
    Agust D - Haegeum (turn on CC's) - th-cam.com/video/iy9qZR_OGa0/w-d-xo.html
    Agust D - Amygdala (turn on CC's) - th-cam.com/video/IX1dkYoLHVs/w-d-xo.html
    *Meanings for the song titles*
*Daechwita* - is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while the ARMY is marching or as a static performance usually when the King is arriving. (Suga aka Agust D meant the BTS ARMY to be implied.)
*Haegeum* - has two meanings. The first, it's a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings, usually played at Royal Court. Also, it means to lift a ban, or release what is forbidden.
*Amygdala* - is an almond shaped part of our brain which is commonly thought to form the core of a neural system for processing fearful and threatening stimuli, including detection of threat and activation of our fight or flight response. The amygdala helps to store memories of events and emotions so that an individual may be able to recognize similar events in the future.

Daechwita is also a form of korean traditional music (which is the beat of that song) and was played when royality specifically the King was moving about the common people. Also the this track is about the word Haegeum which is a Traditional 2 stringed instrument played with a bow but is also a term that means to lift a ban on what prohibited or seen as social/cultural taboo. Hence him smoking which is something Kpop Idol's are not supposed to do and get a lot of backlash if caught smoking, not that BTS follow the Kpop Industry rules,. Id check out each of the 3 main rappers to BTS, after your done looking into Agust D's songs...id check out RM aka Rap Monster aka Namjoon...and Jhope aka Jung Hoseok aka Jay. They all have their own skills and charms when it comes to their rap skills. They have so much content between their solos and bts as a group it can be overwhelming..but definitely worth it!!!💜

Agust D is SUGA from BTS. He is super talented and by far the best rapper. You need to watch the videos that precede this one. Haegeum is a musical instrument but SUGA says it also means freedom from something or liberation. He writes all of his music as well as for others etc and produces. He is amazing

The way I interpret this song is the way society is now. Are we really free thinkers? The internet has algorithms that persuade us to think a certain way, spend a certain way. And the 2 different characters he plays, seeing the group of people flip flop on whose side they’re on, only benefiting and saving themselves.

Suga/Agust D is an impressive musician, rapper, singer, lyricist and producer. If you take the time to read his lyrics you can find a lot of rawness and lyrical sincerity. His beats are impressive and he is terribly talented in everything he does. As I mentioned before, I understand that you wanted him to sing in English, but, he is Korean and he is the one who (in BTS) most deeply shares the foundations of his culture in the music he writes and shares. Both this song and Daechwita have two bands that make it up, one normal and one with their traditional instruments and that is what makes their music so unique. Everyone in BTS is extremely talented, they are truly the elite of world music (to my taste, obviously). I hope you don't miss reading the lyrics of his songs, Agust D has a very sharp pen and his pulse does not tremble to express what he wants in the most sincere and often heartbreaking way possible. He's a great guy. Greetings from Argentina. Del. (I recommend his song called The Last and I think it will confirm much of what I have told you).

Thank you so much for reacting to Agust D! If you intrigued by the story line I recommend starting with his self titled track “Agust D” where this alter ego begins. The self titled track is a slap to his haters and his rap flow is 🔥. Next video is “Daechwita” where he plays dual roles- a tyrant king and a commoner- they represent two versions of himself and his inner struggle with who he has become as a person and artist in the music industry (my interpretation anyway). Next is Haegum, which you just watched.. he plays dual roles again as a cop who has turned dirty and a thief who steals from the cop. Some theorize the cop in Haegum is actually the peasant from Daechwita (correlation made by the eye scar) -he has a duty to protect the people but he himself has now become corrupted by greed, power and capitalism, which he talks about in the lyrics. Finally, there is Amygdala, where we find out the origins of the scar he has over his eye.. this video is a very personal depiction of Suga’s struggle with mental health over the years from a teen years, during trainee days to today. I hope you find the time to watch them all, the overall message and meaning is very deep and is a testament to Suga’s resilience and artistry.

This song is so deep. You absolutely can't catch all the lyrics and meaning first time around. The entire set up for the trilogy is he is trying to kill off the parts of himself that he doesn't like. That's why the endings are the way they are. Amygdala is the third but with it you finally get the aha moment and tie all the bodies together with the scar. It's awesome when you realize how much time there was between Daechwita and the other two. Amygdala was really difficult for him to write and it was really difficult to relieve those moments.

BTS best stuff is in Korean. They are Korean artists and proud of sharing their art in korean.
They adressed this kind of request in the past (signing in English) .🙄
The fact is that English might convey differently or even dilute the message they want to share and for which specific words or expressions are needed. BTS is all about lyrics and Korean language is very complex and poetic.
Word play in Korean can't be genuinely translated . And let's say it... they are the master of word play.
That's who they are, and at their best.
Let's recognize there are great and unexpected artists out there, singing in their mother tongue. How many out there do we miss?🤔

Aha, You start strongly exploring BTS members' solo songs.
That's a good thing. Then AgustD's "Daechwita" could be good or Suga's "Shadow."
These are the ones I would recommend.
Remember to take the attitude that the songs are sung in Korean and You need to press the CC button.
If, on the other hand, You urgently want to check out the next one from BTS' 7.
I would choose TaeHyung (stage name V) and from Him "Slow Dancing" or "Love Me Again"

    Pronounced Hag-em in english.
The word “haegeum” has different meanings in Korean. It describes a traditional Korean 3 strung instrument (which can be heard in the beginning of the track)
But it can also mean the lifting of a ban/prohibition, according to Doolset’s translation.
“This song is a haegeum”, he raps, and later adds: “bustling rhythm, maybe would also be another haegeum ”. The “haegeum” is the instrument for the liberation, the song itself is both the sound and its intent, the medium and the message.

My algorithm actually picks up reactions to Suga aka Augus D. He rap is so perfect during lives he was accused of lip syncing. Suga being Suga he stopped during a live performance and smiled at the camera. He and RM write a majority of the music for BTS. Haguem is to lift a ban. The song is about corruption and laws holding down the little guy so the rich stay rich and poor stay poor. He’s so talented ❤

  • @silviamunoz6863
    @silviamunoz6863 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks for the reaction. In fact, he's talking about his internal struggles between his humble side and his greedy, angry, mad one. This is part of a trilogy that goes in this sequence: Daewchita, Haegeum, and Amygdala. Those are the phases of his struggles (to improve himself to be a good person) with anger. In Amygdala he tells us why he got that way and how he healed.
If you noticed, the corrupt police has a scar in his eye, the other guy doesn't. But at the end, when he's eating (as you well noticed, with the same tool he feeds himself, he fights against the musical industry) some hair falls in front of his eyes, resembling the scar. Imho, it means that you can't "terminate" an aspect of your personality, but you can control it.

Even in Amygdala, the ending is a little frustrating, but understood and concluded on the last day of the DDay tour, in Seoul, when he demonstrates that he overcame all the difficulties like Agust D and now the mature Suga supports those who are starting, in "Snooze".💜💜💜

3 video’s of your’s I have watched Jungkook SNTY, BTS Mic Drop and now Agust D with the exception of Jungkook who has set his solo journey as a World Pop star, meaning singing in English, you need to remember you are reacting to K-pop Korean Pop music which is in Korean & English lyrics, to say you wish this was in English I cringed, you really need to watch a guide to Bangtan 7 because you need to understand about who BTS is & also understanding that ARMY is extremely protective of our guys so you may not get too many good comments, nor followers, but I do commend you on being honest in your reactions, not just reacting to get views & subscribers, I can tell you we have all watched many many reaction channels doing BTS, we know these video’s & lyrics like the back of our hand, again the Korean lyrics are what we all fell in love with & started to follow & get to know the guys really well, they are unlike ANY artist in this world, they are extremely active with their fans on a daily basis, Suga AKA Agust D AKA Yoongi & the rest of the members have said that we are not just fan & artist, put more like partners so I will wait to see whether I subscribe or not

Ok, so I suggest you check out the rappers next, there are 3 of them: RM, Suga, and J-Hope. RM is the lead rapper and overall leader of the group, he's the only one that can speak English fluenly. Suga also goes by Agust D when he does his solo music, and it's also kind of his alter ego name as well. J-Hope is not only a rapper but he's also the lead dancer of BTS. Here are some recommendations of some music videos/tracks you should listen to:
Suga/Agust D: Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala (in that order, it's a trilogy and tells a story), Agust D (self titled track), and Give it to Me. All those have music videos, but also listen to the songs D-Day, Huh?!, and SDL, there's no music video for those ones, but they're really good.
RM: Joke (watch the music video with the English translation!), Monster (no music video but really good), Do You, Persona (under BTS but it's solely him on the track), Still Life with Anderson Paak, Wildflower, and Closer (no music video)
J-Hope: Arson, More, Airplane, On The Street with J Cole, Ego, 1 Verse, Base Line, and HangSang (the last 3 don't have music videos but they're really good).
Also check out the tracks Ddaeng and Ugh! that the 3 of them did, and their Cyphers that they also did together too, there are 4 cyphers. Cypher Pt. 3 is the favorite in the fandom but my favorite is Cypher Pt. 4. Hope you enjoy! 😊
