    Amygdala (English word) is the part of the brain that's primarily associated with processing fear and trauma. This song is real, it's Yoongi's life story.

      @@jessicapierce3027 It's Greek and it's not a medical term or I should say not only a medical term. It's the Greek word for almonds and it refers to the shape of this part of the brain that looks like an almond lol. I am Greek so I know. But of course English people would not even know that their own language comes from Greek.

    The Amygdala is a part of your brain that is responsible for the perception of emotions such as anger, fear, and sadness, as well as the controlling of aggression. Suga has been very open in the past about his struggles with depression and anxiety but in this song was the first time he ever mentioned his parent's health problems (they are both still living). We also know that Suga had a complicated relationship with his parents because they didn't approve of him pursuing music. There is a video of BTS performing in 2016 I believe where Suga spots his parents in the audience and he falls to the ground to bow (a sign of respect) and starts sobbing uncontrollably. And that bike accident really happened. In 2012 when Suga was a trainee for Bighit Entertainment he was working as a delivery driver and was hit by a car and it crushed his shoulder. He was afraid to tell the company in fear he would be kicked out of the company. He finally had surgery on his shoulder in 2020.

    • @g100-w6j
      @g100-w6j ปีที่แล้ว +22

      just to add for years now his relationship with his parents has been great and the reason they even didnt approve of him pursuing music in the first place was because they didnt believe being a musician producer writer whatever would be a stable career and they didnt want him to suffer. it all came from a good place and the fact that he/bts is this successful rn is nothing short of a miracle. they literally had everything stacked against them from the very beginning but through hard work, being genuine, talented individuals people recognized that and army(their fandom) grew year by year to what it is now.
      also he was afraid of telling the company but shortly after they found out/he told them they said he should have told them sooner. that they will wait for him/he wont lose him spot in bts and also because education was a huge concern for yoongi they also offered and paid for his education.
      as we have found from yoongi after their debut he would take like idk what they r called shots(?) for his shoulder pain, use medical tape etc to relieve pain and help him but in 2020 it just became unbearable for him and during some performances he couldnt move his arm so after careful consideration he decided it was time to fix it and take of give or take 3 months for the surgery and recovery. now he is fine, better than ever and just living his best life

      @@g100-w6j there are shots that are basically an epidural injected into the part of the spine where nerves serve a specific part of the body (like a shoulder), it's a steroid shot (mixed with other things) that help dull the pain. The shots don't make the pain disappear, they just make the pain a bit manageable, and they're not meant for long term. Eventually, you'll need surgery. Other shots are injected into the affected muscles, and aren't as dangerous as the epidural. These injections don't last very long. How Yoongi managed for all these years, dancing and performing at such a high level...no words. The man is beyond strong.

    It’s kind of surprising how many people don’t know the anatomy of the human brain. Not just you guys but almost every single reactor. That said isn’t it incredible that an almond sized structure holds so much power over our fight or flight response? This is SUGA bearing his soul and the scars he allowed to form throughout this life - Amygdala is the origin story for Daechwita and Haegum - before BTS, he was very poor and worked as a delivery boy. One day he crashed into a car and almost died. He endured chronic shoulder pain throughout his first 8 years w BTS and it wasn’t until he danced the Black Swan choreo that his shoulder really gave out and he had to have surgery. D-Day is about lifting the bans (Def of Haegum) in his life and letting go of the scars. He’s learning to lean into his current life without fear but with joy. The solo world tour wo his members is a huge leap of faith in himself … and in sharing this so intimately w ARMY helps us to move forward in our own lives.

      So what if majority of people do not know the man given name for the brain sections ! Like that is such a dorky comment,such a dork flex , how old are u? 10? .. u know who is interested in all the labels ? Lonely people or those in the medical field . Grow up , intelligent people do not flex on idiotic things . We know what the brain is , what the brain is responsible for and that the medical field labelled each part of the brain for convenience purposes . The average person does not need to know the sub categories because its of no relevance other than theoretical simplicity ..

To piggy back on that, he mentioned it's not possible to have all 7 together given the current circumstance, but his solo concert is the perfect catalyst to satisfy ARMYs need/want of a concert (especially after pandemic etc) & an awesome blueprint for rest of members and eventually BTS altogether when they reconvene in 2025 after serving in the military. Suga's forward thinking for sure. 💜🎶 Extremely thoughtful and beneficial for everyone in the long run. So much to learn and appreciate from our humble lyrical genius Min Yoongi. 💜🎶😊

    Yoongi has shared his mental health issues with us since the beginning, and he stated how some of his roughest times were in the early days, like from 2014 to 2016, how he developed social anxiety at age 18, he was dealing with depression and OCD. BTS had hate coming at them from all angles, and it took a toll on them in the early years. So hearing all the other things he was dealing with as well, just puts things into perspective. He's such a strong person. In the making video, he said the scars we create are of our own making. So the best way for him to represent that was the way that he did with the scar on his face. And the medicine he took was for his condition. He talked about how he saw a psychiatrist and his parents went with him, and they said they didn't know who he was anymore. This was in "The Last" from his first mixtape Agust D.
    He said how could anyone know him when he doesn't know himself, so that phrase "I don't know your name" made sense to me. Looking back at repressed memories. Thankfully he got through all of it, and now is healed to a certain degree. I see the rain as a shift., He also talked about "What doesn't kill you make you stronger", and he is now blooming like a lotus flower. The lotus flower is very resilient, and can grow in mud and water, like on a lake or pond. So I see the rain as cleansing, and healing.
    He also said in the behind the scenes on Daechwita, that the mad King was the Agust D from his first Mixtape in 2016, and the peasant was from his 2020 mixtape D-2. You can see the scar is very raw in that video on both of them, maybe slightly less for the 2020 Agust D. In Haegeum, i interpret it as Agust D from 2020 is the Police detective/corrupt Boss, with the partially healed scar, and the Agust D that kills, and steals the money with no scar is D-Day Agust D. The one that is mostly healed and is talking about freedom. (Do we ever completely heal from our scars?) In an interview with IU, and in the D-Day film, he talks about how he was very angry and now he has forgiven the haters and is living in the present. So his music moving forward may not have the angry vibe that we have seen in the past. But he is definitely not done yet. Thank you for the reaction 💜

    It basically wrapped up the trilogy with this one taking us back to where “Agust D” started, with the scar. You’ll notice in Daechwita the scar is still red, the scar in Haegum was still visible but no longer read healing. He really truly is an artist creating such a story with his lyrics and videos in this trilogy. 💜
    And as others detailed, this is based on his life which he’s shared openly with Army.

    This song/MV is too personal to yoongi.. now this song has become personal to me. I felt like giving him a hug after watching this. Then I had a dream that he gave me a hug.. i woke up with tears in my eyes. I was the one needing that hug after all. Realized I have to admit to myself that I am going through things and stop acting like everything is ok and I can try to deal with them and that other people can be of help too.

    Must be a reason why I always get hooked by his words and music.

    6.1 Amygdala - General Considerations
    Amygdala is the integrative center for emotions, emotional behavior, and motivation. If the brain is turned upside down the end of the structure continuous with the hippocampus is called the uncus. If you peel away uncus you will expose the amygdala which abuts the anterior of the hippocampus. Just like with the hippocampus, major pathways communicate bidirectionally and contain both efferent and afferent fibers.

    Amygdala is the part of our brains that deals with processing traumas and fears we encounter. Everything in the music video, happened to him in real life. The car accident happened during his trainee days back when he worked as a delivery boy the same time he was casted for BTS ( the band he's part of). He didn't tell the company being afraid of not getting scouted for the band or to get kicked out of the group. The accident costed him his shoulder. In 2021 he had 3 surgeries to fix his shoulder tear. Wanna clarify something, those pills are vitamins to help battle his problems ( the mental ones) so he's no drug addict. Also, everything in the video is REAL, No CGA, No Green screen. You can watch behind the scenes to understand more. Thank you for the reaction.

    Amygdala is the size of an almond in your brain. There are some scenes here with almonds. It may also be a reference to a Korean book called ALMOND written by a neurodivergent Korean author which has been known to be read by one of the BTS members. NOTE: The facial scar here, in DAECHWITA, and in HAEGEUM.

    This song is about what he went through. His mom's heart surgery and his accident. He went through a rough time even beginning of BTS. BTS company wasn't this big at first. In fact, they were about to go bankruptcy. But BTS made them so big. So all 7 members lived together in a small one room at that time. You'll know about that if you watch a guide to Bangtan 7. He mentions that if he buys a meal he has no money to go home and vice versa. all the struggle made him who he is now

    Yo, fellow Armys, I'm kinda confused. I've seen a bunch if reactors mention drug addiction.....did Yoongi ever say that he was a drug addict? I know he mentioned drugs in 'Dear My Friend' from D-2, but he said he was disgusted by it. I'm asking bcs I'm yet to see an Army talk about this and I'm wondering if I missed a memo here or something 🤧

    • @Mark-vj7zd
      @Mark-vj7zd ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, not addiction for him personally. He had to take painkillers and injections to combat the long term effects of his shoulder injury. Eight years of it, until he finally had his surgery late in 2020.
      The addiction he talks about in ‘Dear My Friend’ is not his. In his teens he had a close friend who became an addict and ended up in prison. Yoongi used to travel for hours by bus to visit him in jail. My understanding is that the loss of this friendship is also what he was referencing in his part of ‘Spring Day’.
      In ‘The Last’ he touches on his worst depressive thoughts and mentions ‘sleeping on the bathroom floor’. I don’t know whether he’s ever elaborated on that but it may be alluding to taking pills in a moment of extreme crisis.

    I would like to suggest you minimize your image so that everyone can see the subtitles. 😊 Thank you for the BTS reviews.

    Yooo, you need to listen to RM's songs: Flower, Smoke Sprite. RM is the leader of BTS and he's a rapper.

      Not many reactors have. They assume it’s Korean I guess.

      @@118eighteen I get that. I’ve watched hundreds of reactions and enjoy that part. My point is that it’s a foreign language song (unless you are Korean) so people assume words they don’t know are also in another language. I was responding to the person who wrote the comment, not to everyone in general. Like you are, to me.

      @@118eighteen Funny. I’m a 58 yr old Army and I’ve known the internet since dial up. Let’s not talk down to each other. I enjoyed this reaction. Adding to their comment count 😉

    I´m Sorry guys, But i don´t Like them at all. I fell like they just react for the ARMY views, they don´t Even try to find the meaning of a word in their own lenguaje.....
