I'm actually going through my first Shadow Dragon playthrough rn, and I decided to use Matthis despite every tier list I've ever seen saying he's bad because I found the whole "I don't want to be part of the army but also I don't want to be executed by Michalis, the moment the fighting is over I'm gonna go back to lazing around and achieving nothing" very relatable and actually surprisingly normal-person-like for Fire Emblem. Anyways my man Matthis proved himself to actually be an absolute chad, he got 20 strength, more than fucking Sedgar and Wolf reclassed, and he's destroying the game as a Draco Knight together with Caeda. Suffice to say, I'm having a good time
I think it's important to remember FE is first and foremost a video*game*. Number 1 priority is having fun, there is no harm done playing the way you want.
All characters in fire emblem can solo all maps with enough work and luck, just some of them are weaker and others are atlus who needs barely any work to solo the superboss
I love how you used Cord,Dolph and Matthis.I played the game recently with only bad units and it was one of the most fun fire emblem experiences I've ever had
My first playthrough on Normal I had Marth and Ogma as my main carries on the final level. I had two staff users and Tiki. That was enough to eventually beat the level in an unsatisfying way. My second playthrough was on H1. I had Cain and Xane as my main carries. I had fed my defense/resistance items to Cain since he was maxed out at 60 hit-points. I used Xane to transform into him equipped with a good weapon to use Cain's Weapon Ranks and a Staff User nearby who could use Recover. It helped that I could use Fortify on both Gotah and Wendell. I had fed hp items to Tiki to greatly increase her survival. I did not regret this decision. The thing I did regret was not leveling up Marth. With Cain/Xane/Gotah/Wendell/Tiki I had enough firepower to defend or attack. If I attacked I would leave Marth defenseless and he would die. If I defended I would just keep defending eventually ending with Tiki running out of Divinestone. Because of my lack of army Cain with the Gradivus and Tiki with the Divinestone was my only reliable way of winning. If I had also had a strong Marth and a strong Ogma this would have been a much more reliable strategy. I eventually won and plan to start H2 soon equipped with all I have learned from experience and study.

I loved the prison break strategy. also sometimes in these types of videos, the video creator kind of shittalks the author which is a bit sad. at the end of the day, there is still a person behind the guide who put his effort into it. Its nice to see that you ended the video on a positive note :D
So what I quickly learned on that arena map in the SNES version is that the arena should be used to bring up lower level units with growth potential and to not even try using jeigen or Mathis. His luck stat is abysmal and doesn't really go up much so later levels of the arena become impossible.
Hi I'm going to buy this game this year I never bought this game cause when it came out it got bad reviews that said the story was weak have you played other fire emblem games the series seems to be going in a bad direction with three houses and engage

The prison break is such a chad strategy
Took a bit of resetting since Boah couldn't take out that archer without a crit but other than that I had a lot of fun with it.
I think the funniest part is that when the guide talks about forging, you can see that he *added* weight to the Wing Spear.

When I first saw "Secret Chapter Alert!" in the guide I felt my heart sink before I even read further.
He sure was enthusiastic about the mass death. On some of the pages you can see him using Horace so he really did go through with it.
