Thanks for the review! You know all the fun starts AFTER 6,000 rpm.....hopefully you're past the break in period now and have experienced full power. If that's not enough for you, a pipe and tune or re-flash can get you up to 20HP more. Don't like the stock mirrors either, they were only on the bike from the dealership to home.....I had already ordered replacements before I had the bike. I'll have mine 5 years this March, It's a tremendous amount of fun to ride.......makes me smile every time I'm on it! Enjoy and be safe.
Buddy you have no idea what your riding. The MAX is a legend. Yes, the 1700 will smoke many sports bikes. Be careful tho. They stopped advertising the older model because too many inexperienced riders killed themselves on the beast. Ride safely.
Got 2018 a month ago two things 4 gallons tank and speed limiter at 145 vmax my 11 bikes before only problem for me milage range overal wery nice love the look
Look on the vmax forums for a guy named Tim Nash. Send your ECU to him and you will never regret it. Remove speed limiter, higher rev limiter, fixes the delay in throttle butterflies, much more options to offer. Best money I ever spent on mine.
William Mohr yeah hire very good things aboutNash first need remove cat. Install x pipe am thinking keep stock exhaust and sending ecu thanks for advice
I finally got me a 09 v Max and I love it. I use to ride a Honda cbr but it's gone now .the power awesome handles great rides comfortable. its very quick and it's fast enough. Top speed for mine is 160 but it gets there faster than others. .be safe bro keep it on two wheels.. oh my longest ride was 5 hrs to beach it rode great
I had the same problem with my mirrors. Switched them out to Rizomas and couldn't be happier. LOVE this bike. Wish It could hold another gallon; that's my only complaint. I've left some lesser riders on litre bikes through highway esses etc. It's a lot more nimble than I expected, especially after getting the rear suspension dialed in well.
great looking bike------ and she handles well------- just watch out for the other guy. A young mans bike for sure. My first bike was a Yamaha also back in 1966. It was an 80 c.c. Had great fun on it.
awesome bike, so awesome i bought one. nash flash for stock and you'll remove all limiters and lose .5-.7 seconds in the quarter. turns awesome into unbelieveable. 6K to 9500 rpm is where the magic is at.
nice ride. you left your brights on the entire time.

Put the tiny wind screen on it, it deflects a lot of the wind blast. I had one of the older model for a few years. Once you bed it in everything is hyperspace over 8k.
Nice video I would get the tinted small wind screen. Its just nice to tuck behind it on long 80 mph trips.Without the wind beating you up.Just my opinion .And I think it still looks great.

I've been riding for 20 years but she has only been riding for 2 years if that but she is literally in love with riding now and she wouldn't sell her bike if you offered her 10 grand!! Lol. Dude, why are you riding so far left on a two-lane highway? Get over right an own that lane. Wondering how much you paid? I have a dealership in SE PA that keeps dropping the price on a left over 2013 but my 2005 is still very clean and low miles.
I have a 2012 and live in NJ, where do you live ? I herd you say the bike is limited to 138 mph , but i have had mine to 152 mph with a passenger :) my fiance loves the bike. She loves the passenger foot rest i added lowered her feet like 8 inches and the sissy bar is a must when you have a passenger. Curious whats the mileage on your i'm getting around 100 right before my fuel light comes on. DeathstalkeR not really the z1k actually feels very wide... Still fun to ride for sure but can most likely handle the vmax much easier though in a quarter mile it would probably be close and the kawi has a much cheaper price tag
If you helmet moves as much as you say it is too large for you. The stock mirrors as on many other bikes suck spend about $150 and get a good set of mirrors. that don't shake. I am so tired of you newbies who don't know anything about a Vmax and can't review it properly without knowing it.

Yes the brakes brake extremely well. They definitely stop the bike as well as any bike within reason.

Glad your disappointed,
Be disappointed for the rest of your natural life
I cannot watch when camera position is pointed too far down and road ahead not seen. Nausea-inducing. All vloggers , please consider a few degrees up, assuring we can see the horizon will expand the story for all of us (and I wont get sick) your getting a pasting here but they are all actually technical issues (breath complaints are really about mic sensitivity and placement, you can fix it just do some study)
Sexy charger as well.
Man u r super Rich 👊
Or... in debt. 😉👍
NICE VIDEO BRO BURN RUBBER NOT YOUR SOUL .
Sweet
try use a microphone pal
With I could have heard the engine perform and less talking but " ANYWAY "
Id go for a Z1000 over this one. It looks so wide and hard to handle.
+DeathstalkeR Not hard to handle at all. Very good platform.
DeathstalkeR not really the z1k actually feels very wide... Still fun to ride for sure but can most likely handle the vmax much easier though in a quarter mile it would probably be close and the kawi has a much cheaper price tag
20grand! see ya!
Its is def a qtr mile bike. However i got it to 145 mph. Thats when the governer hit. If you get it ungoverned it will probably hit 160-170
I have the second gen. It already goes to 187 without any mods and with governer still on.
More bike talk and for gods sake raise the camera angle.
Is your girl comfortable riding with you?
If you helmet moves as much as you say it is too large for you. The stock mirrors as on many other bikes suck spend about $150 and get a good set of mirrors. that don't shake. I am so tired of you newbies who don't know anything about a Vmax and can't review it properly without knowing it.
The mirrors don't shake at all the one was just lose. My helmet fit is actually too tight :(
Bikes are made for one tell her get her own bike!!
Pink helmet 😂
I see the American dream here got d house d girls what more can u ask for in life girls as in the vmax n the girl .
at 4 min get to the point
Wow, you rode a whole 45 minutes? In just one hit? A can wear out your tires in a single day? It might sound hero worshipping, but your Iron Butt Award and Moto-GP calling must surely be assured? I think you need to trade it for a zero gravity chair.
