If none of these solutions worked for you, try this. I found out that Adobe Media Encoder is responsible for this issue sometimes. If you export individual files in premiere instead of batches in Media Encoder, the error will go away. I would also advise not making the VR transitions longer than they’re defaulted, this can cause the error as well. Hope this helps
If you are using Glitch effect, you have to scale up the video clip. Glitch effect needs more space than preview. For instance, if your clip scale is %100 and get an error like gpu acceralation needed while using glitch effect, make your clip scale is %115. It can help

Thanks a lot. I had Warp Stabilizer and VR De-Noise running on the same clip and when I turned De-Noise of, the problem was solved. Now I just had the noise, and that didn't look too good. I found out, that if I placed the the Warp Stabilizer above the De-Noise in the effect controls panel, the problem was solved completely.

Changing my renderer DOES work but I don't want to change renderers because when I do, almost every effect doesn't work. For example if I put on s_shake, it will freeze frame the shake and play my clip, it just like changes the position and keyframes don't work with the effect because the effect doesn't work.

This error for me was also caused by the VR effects, if you drag them on before you drag in your effect that requires the GPU accel then it might fix it self. worked for me :)

Hey, that worked! (Remove unnecessary VR Glitch from a clip by cutting it into parts and removing it from the part that did not need it-my echo effect worked smoothly!)
Hi, I have the same problem, But !!!! I found out that you can apply VR to your video but only if you apply it directly to the clip. You cannot apply it to a layer - that dosent work ! Apply it straight to the clip :-)
That might happen if you do not have a Graphics Card in your machine, or a suitable one at least. In that case, try the last option, that might help you.

I had not realized that the VR effect was not compatible with other effects. A simple click off of that effect and it works!

Glad I could help! In my case, it was the VR effect conflicting with Corner Pin - as a VR project wouldn’t have corners, it freaked out on me.
If none of these solutions worked for you, try this. I found out that Adobe Media Encoder is responsible for this issue sometimes. Look for a conflict with other effects. My particular problem was a conflict with a VR effect and Corner Pin.

Don't need to get rid of the VR; nest the clip first and then use the required FX
This technique is something I use all the time when I need to run a clip at half speed and apply a Warp Stabliser.

I've found I can just export as is then add the problem effect on top and re export as final product.
That should stop conflicts too, but ideally you shouldn't have to do that!

CUDA is an exclusively Nvidia thing, if I recall correctly, so try the other couple of solutions and see if they do the business for you!
