its just grifting, prisoners stab people to death with a sharpened piece of metal off a light fixture everyday. using the word "blade" instead of knife is cringey.
Everything he's saying here but with a kitchen paring knife wrapped with hockey tape. Spend your money on the sheath. Use your folder to open boxes. Great video! Working with Winkler would be a dream!
Yessir! A trainer is crucial for self defense blades. I carry the SOC-P Dagger mainly because it came with a trainer. Trainers can be a less lethal defense tool as well!
@@BMO_Creative most people are going away from that style knife due to the finger hole operation as a cheese grader of your finger it caught in the hole.

I use a Nicholson Bastard file sharpened and cryo treated by an old timer called the “Iceman”. It’s wrapped with silicon plumbers tape for a grip, carried in an old Camco leather scout sheath that was my grandfather’s. It does the job - cost $20.
I own the CFH, it's made very well. I have seen many criticize the price, they'll say any screwdriver is just as good. I would love to see you do a stress test video. Show everybody how durable the S7 steel is.
for stabbing a person, prisoners get it done every day with something they made. are you planning on stabbing someone dressed in an suit of armor or what.
@@kenuffff Not so much. As a tool, I'd like to know how it's limits. Could I hammer it into a tree, then use it as a step? Would it bend with 200lbs? Is it capable of prying open a typical home's door or window? Not for theft, but rescue or escape.
I wanted to buy one of these, but I'm not paying 150 bucks of shipping on top of the 500 plus for the knife itself, shipping shouldn't be that much even if it's to Europe
I wonder if Dom's got Dupuytren on his left pinky finger. Either that or he's injured it somehow. But it seems to be stuck in that position perpetually.
When I’m at work, I have a Hogue First Responder in my pocket; I use it in a utility capacity only. Fixed blades are much better for self defense than a folder. One time this crazy lady came at me with a Katana blade, and I didn’t go for a knife; I went for a my pistol in my holster. I think blades are important, but they’re not really effective for self defense.
This is not a fair or responsible assessment. Firstly, you never take a knife to a gun fight. Equally you NEVER pull any knife on a sword wielding attacker. That would be plain and simply stupid. From personal experience, most dangerous situations take place really close up and personal. The first weapon you pull is your brain. Engage your mind, remember your training, read the situation, remember all war is deception and surprise, then engage with a ferocity that your enemy cannot predict or withstand. DO NOT DISENGAGE UNTIL YOUR ATTACKER IS COMPLETELY OVERWHELMED, WHATEVER THAT IS.
There are far more $7.99, Walmart kitchen knives than $400 cool guy blades in evidence lockers at police departments around the US. Don't overthink it, gents.
If you get into a knife fight you Will get CUT. I shot 246/250 rifle pistol/ shotgun just as good. Multiple WAR veteran. I fight MMA now 4-1, but after BJJ we get out the kydex knives. Fixed blade=correct . Practice=correct. No moving parts. If you are getting attacked look out for his partners. And people need to control their dogs. I am not afraid of any dog w/the knife I carry on bicycle.Winkler/Williams blade design HZO 02 6.5 in. Brown burlap micarta 1 of 10 made. I can't tell stories on here. Pedaling since 95.
Dom can you possibly name something affordable? There are hundreds of thousands of men out there that just cannot afford these tools that you are talking about. Surely self defence/EDC is not only for those that can afford the tools???
Your belts are amazing but as a knife practitioner and someone who's been training with blades for over 20 years Your price point on your blades are way overpriced there's other companies like TKell knives that offer the same exact style with the same exact steel for half the cost so can you explain to me what makes your knives and your craftsmanship so much better to be charging over $500 for a knife that you're going to use for self-defense at that price point not too many people are going to buy that especially for self-defense and EDC but they do look very nice but $500 nice not sure sure about that when you got other companies that are just as good selling their blades at half the cost 🤷🏾
its called grifting, you call it a "blade" which sounds utterly retarded, then you can charge 500 dollars for something that a 5 dollar knife from walmart will get the job done just the same.
The price point on these is wild compared to other knives on the market.

$550+ for a blade is insane.
Yea, wildly overpriced. Cool philosophy but jesus

Dom you should maybe consider making some in depth videos on your website on each blade page I think it’d be a good future business idea
they're knives. this is like calling a gun a barrel.
How about tanto ?

I just checked again and I stand corrected, shipping now can be had as low as 50 bucks
