    23t Spektrum S651 - 25t JX EcoBoost 21kg
    Hi all
    I've covered this before but it was in a video where I talked about a lot of other maintenance bits on my Arrma 3s cars. Thought it was worth doing a video just about the servo.
    One of the main problems that people have with upgrading the servo on an Arrma 3s version 3 is that the stock servo has a 23 tooth spline and most servos on the market are 25 tooth. I have found that you can squeeze the 23t servo horn/saver onto a 25t spline with a bit of brute force.
    In this video I cover how to get the old servo out and the new one in.
    Hope this is helpful
    Many thanks for watching.

    Hi Pete, thanks for the video. I actually watched it to get a little bit more info on the 25 tooth servo saver cause I had smashed the 23 on my big rock that I had put a kraton 6s servo on and it was in fact going out of center off and on and your video made me realize that I tightened down the SS to hard. That was really bothering me that I couldn't figure out why it was doing that and I was about to just buy a new 25t SS. So thanks a bunch 🤟

    Hi Pete, hope your keeping well. Great servo tips there for the Arrma’s I’ll remember this little video. Well, we went out with our Arrma’s last weekend and yep we both broke the front suspension lower arms, got some replacements coming so that we can soon get back out there. The 2s packs performed well and definitely give you more punch, run time and no fading over time. They balance charged well for storage to either exactly 3.7v per cell or within 0.01v, so very pleased. I’ll give them 5 cycles each, before trying them at the higher 4.35v per cell charge. Keep well all the best 😉👌

      Hiya John. I'm surprised that you broke the suspension arms on your cars. I did break 2 on my Big Rock but I was using the ramp and doing some pretty big jumps. I wonder if the long arms are less strong because the Granite has been beaten to death and I've not broken any arms. Anyway hope you are back in action soon. Glad that the lipos are performing well. Best wishes to you my friend and many thanks for your comments 😁

    Hey pete, I've done this mod and for some reason my rig won't steer straight,it tends to go right a bit or left within a few feet every so often. I changed the servo saver to a 25t servo saver and it still tends to do this...any idea what it could be? Thx in advance for any info if you have any.

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there. Did you do the check of the servo saver function while the servo was out of the car? With the power on and the servo centralised you should be able to force the servo saver in one direction or the other and it springs back to the centre. Other than that is the servo working properly? Can't think of anything else. Thanks for watching the video.

      @@PeteWylieRC i can go over it again...i don't have a 23t spline servo or servo savor...it's 25 to 25 that's what i don't understand...when i tried with the 25 to 23servo it kept pulling, now with the 25kg servo 25t spline ss it still does it.

    Mate,if you look at the bottom of your Arrma you will see dots near 4 screws. Undo all the screws near the dots,the whole lots comes out a a unit. Much easier to work on then.

    Hate it when companies do silly things like use proprietary servo splines… I’ve never ever had a servo spline strip out, seems like a money grab just to make people buy one of their servos or servo savers.

    • @PeteWylieRC
      @PeteWylieRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I think that to be fair to them the 23t spline servo goes back a long way which is why Tamiya give you a choice of servo attachments on their kits. It would be nice if everyone could decide on 25t now though. Many thanks for watching and your feedback 😁

      @@anong345 Oh right I see. Yeah I've done this on my Senton and Big Rock and the servo saver hasn't slipped round or anything. Those cars have been hammered on a regular basis.
