One of Libra mod's players has just directed me to this video, so I'm a little late to the party, but: Din-Oh, thanks for the shout out and for presenting my mod. I'm glad to see players are still finding out about it and enjoying it, 3 years after its release. I'm working on more content for it (there's a lot of suggestions from players and my own personal preferences to go through), but I'm getting closer and closer to releasing a new mode!
Hi Oak, thank you so much for this comment! I’m a huge fan of CMC, and I highly appreciate the effort you put into the Libra Mod, can‘t wait what else you‘ve got in store for us!!!
This and Duelist of the Roses are my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh games of all time. They both have their flaws, but both are so charming and fun in their own ways.
This is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh game of all time. I have played through so many times, and every time I learn something new or find a monster I thought was underrated. It is so satisfying beating literally every monster with an army of kuribohs. Awesome video, thank you for giving the game I love some of the spotlight it deserves.
Thanks for watching, glad I‘m not the only one! Did you play the Libra Mod yet? I only started recently, but it‘s such a crazy upgrade to this game, extremely well made!
It's funny how I got to know this game. I was about 10 or 11 years old and wanted a PS2 Yu-Gi-Oh! game for Christmas, and when I got home after our Christmas celebrations and went to unwrap the present under the Christmas this it was this game. I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of disappointed since I was expecting a Yu-Gi-Oh! game about the actual cards, but I couldn't complain. Then when I started playing it, I can't really say why or how, but I loved this game. I finished it many times since then and I almost always go back to it once a year. It is one of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! games and I'm glad I'm seeing more people talk about it and even try it.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Dungeon Dice Monsters is what this reminded me of, but the difference is that it was simple not adding too many systems to it where it expands on the gameplay.
If you somehow get your hands on an american ISO of this game and play it on emulator, be sure to check out the Libra Mod, it‘s incredibly well made and is a ton of fun ;)
I remember my step uncle, not much older than me, 8 or so years, we would always hangout together at my dads every other weekend. My dad got me every 2 weeks and when I was there he would come stay too. He is the one that introduced me to much of my interests today. Yugioh, dbz, anime in general. But capsule monster coliseum was one that we played all the time. I’d do anything to go back in time for just one more all nighter on this
Still have my copy of this stored in my draws, I really loved playing this game and honestly want to go back at some point. Especially considering the Libra mod, that looks super cool.
This game is my entire childhood 🥺 I have such fond memories of playing this underrated gem of a game. I actually still play it on the PS2 emulator on my laptop, it runs very smoothly there
Man I replayed this game so many times as a kid. I really wish it had a post game where you replay against everyone but they have higher level pieces, they evolve their pieces, or fuse. Imagine a rematch against Joey and he uses Red-eyes and he’ll fuse his pieces mid game into Thousand Dragon and Flame Swordsman.
You should check out the „Libra Mod“ at the end of the video, it’s way harder than the base game and also features a New Game+ mode just like you describe, but the NG+ is still being developed.
Exodia was waaay to OP. Once you get Obliterate, the best strat is pretty much shield it with Kuriboh, then send it straight in the middle of the enemies starting area within range of the enemy simble, survive 1 turn, then destroy everything. The only way I have ever found that at least the symbol can survive is if its light and has most of its points dumped into defense. I did try a Blue Eyes strat to compare, but its so underwhelming in terms of offensive power that the only real strat is to tank hits and heal, but even then its no match just for Exodias range alone, let alone the damage. No matter what formations you use, its nearly impossible to corner Exodia and get in enough attacks to destroy it before it can obliterate. Some wind monsters can come close, but lack the extra damage needed from type advantage, yet can give light a run for its money. The rest of the types were alright for the most part, but water was just there to be there
If you want real OP, try Thunder. Highest attack power along with fire, but more mobility on it‘s early monsters and thunder is complementary to Dark, so you can play Kuribohs too to shield your glasscannon mpnsters. It‘s insane how much damage you can do!
Bro calm down. You're making me wanna jump through hoops to play the vanilla version of the game again, lol. I never had a chance to try all the strats unfortunately despite the game being so fun
Capsule Monsters lets goooo!!! I love this game though I think i have been liking Duelist of the Roses a bit more in recent years. I need to replay them both but god I miss this music. I used to often take what my symbol is and what can beat there weakness. I often chose dark as a kid and teen and often use lightning to back me up
Hell yeah! That strategy is basically how you‘re supposed to play this game, as there are always 2 elements that kind of back each other up. Have you tried the Libra Mod yet? It‘s more challenging but sooo much fun!!
Ah that‘s sad to hear, but I‘m glad to see so many fans of this game in the comments! I just uploaded a new video doing a challenge run in this game, you should check it out :)
Crazily enough, I have played this one like 9 times. But yeah, I always wished for something that wasn’t just card playing. Tbh I always wanted an actual rpg like based on millennium world…but that clearly never happened and never will.
Loved this game as a kid. I think a modern version would work quiet well. Similar gameplay with some new features and rebalancing. It doesn't need top of the line graphics. Just a bunch of monsters, across all eras of Yugioh, a balanced difficulty curve and engaging stratigic gameplay.
The next upload will be a challenge run in one of these games. I“ll also make more content about the mods eventually, but it might take some time since I have a lot of other ideas I want to try out. Stay tuned for more!
I‘m very good haha that‘s a combination of color grading and naturally dark eye rings, had them since I was little lmao Thanks for the comment, have you tried the Libra Mod for Capusle Monster Coliseum yet?
@@Din-Oh I'm glad you're doing well. I tried the Libra Mod some time ago, but only checked again today if there are updates, but it is still the version from July 26,2021. Ahh Digimon games can be very fun, gotta cover some of them on this channel soon :) If you want to give CMC another shot, I recommend playing on Emulator and playing it on 2x speed, makes it way more enjoyable!
just because you love the game doesnt make it good yugioh CM is a badddd game, for example i love the GBA yugioh game RoD its a realllllly bad game or just really hard, but i still love it and find it the best yugioh game
I get what you‘re saying, but you contradicted your first statement with your last sentence lol CMC has its problems for sure, but the Libra mod fixed a lot if not all of them. You might want to check it out and see for yourself ;)
Sadly I had to reupload this one, hope you guys like it!
Also, make sure to check our @OakCMC for the Libra mod for this game :)

I swear we all want another Yugioh game that isnt a card sim
Even if it's just Nintendo-esque remakes of CMC, DDM and DOR
@@Charioh Id KILL for that. Maybe fix the unobtainable cards and star chip prices.

When yugioh was about the love of playing games instead of strictly the card game.

I haven‘t really played dungeon dice monsters yet, but I reckon it‘s different enough go give it a shot :)
@@Din-Oh I wish the official DDM game wasn't so easy, otherwise it would have been my favorite YGO videogame.
The gba dungeon dice monsters game was crazy complicated I hated it

The symbol also bufs the type that beats the on that beats it.
So dark symbol bufs dark and thunder.

played this as a kid and while I never beat it I got a good way in and it was super fun
You should do, only use capsules that the symbols puts a negative effect. Like have a dark symbol and use only earth and light.
I just uploaded a challenge where I try to beat this game only using Kuribohs, but your idea is also a nice one! Maybe I‘ll have to do it next!
Duelist of the roses next? The redux mod is wicked by clovis, needs more attention!
Already have a video on that, I uploaded it just before this one, and I also talk about various mods for DotR, including Clovis :)
