Oh, honey. I love this plant. Mine got so large for indoors, that I planted in a shady spot outside about 10 years ago. My lovely China doll has been thriving for all of this time. I staked it up today and noticed that it had surpassed the eaves of the roof. I am in zone 10 which likely helps.
Thanks for this video. I've found that my China doll seems to do quite well in direct sunlight via the window? But, lately it's dropping a lot of leaves. I believe due to low humidity. It's still growing a lot though. I've had it about a year now. 🙂👍
I have 3 of these growing in full sun in my front yard. They are green lush and beautiful. I have two growing in a side yard part shade, part sun, and they are like tree trunk size plants they are also very beautiful, and the branches can be bent and tied to make leaf canopies wherever you want they make great outdoor plants!
That plant is not pot bound or root bound, you can kill a C D plant by transplanting it too early... I have a 5 ft one for more than 10 years outside yr round, only transplanted 1 time.
I’ve propagated many from stem cuttings in damp perlite or soil and perlite mix and under a glass dome for humidity or in a prop box under indirect light.

You can’t really propagate the average China doll houseplant because it usually grows from seed.
