    You have done such a good job explaining how to take care of this plant. Yours looks so perfect. I hope mine looks as good as yours does. Is there a special way to chop a plant? I saw another video, this girl had a china doll plant and it was so leggy. It was not bushy at all and it looked really odd. I am guessing it's because she didn't do any chopping. I just don't want to make the same mistakes she did 🥺

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do chop my plants atleast once a year specially before it starts getting warmer as it helps them to grow faster and bushier! You can chop all the branches from the top, the place you chop it from is the place where you will see new branches coming up in a while!

    In the winter my house can get as low as 14 until the heating is turned on then it is 20, I repotted this plant months ago just before autumn and it is almost dying, just 3 leaves and 4 stems left, i found out that it never grew new roots, was the same amount as its original pot, so i moved it back into a smaller one and trimmed the branches to the node on the stems but I might also trim the stems themselves shorter in hope that it can start growing up again into 2 or more new stems, from then I pray the branches will also grow with the leaves.

      These plants do not enjoy drastic changes due to heaters and it makes the air dry, and they love humid places! Best to keep them in bathrooms with a lot of indirect light 😊

    Thanks. I hope that you repotted it. Mine was half that size and burst its clay pot that size. It's loving a large self-watering pot. It needs constant slightly moist soil but not saturated where the roots can rot. Brown tips can occur if the soil becomes too salty where it needs leeching or repotting apparently.

    My china doll plant (around 3 ft height) seems green with no sign of yellowing, but often one or two small or big leaves keeps shedding from the nodes (mostly from centre or bottom section). The leaves aren't crispy either. At the same time I can see two new branches growing from topmost part of the plant. If you can shed some light on this it would be helpful.

    hello bro, this is Waqas from Islamabad, Pakistan. Thanks for a great video, loved it. recently bought this plant and kept indoors near the window where it is getting indirect good light. I water it like once a week by watching the soil if its dry or not. Two days ago, I saw new little leaves coming out, got v happy, but today morning, they are all withered and when I touched them, they fell :(
    Im not sure what happened to them, other leaves are ok and fresh. Please can you tell me what could be the reason of fresh leaving falling? i love plants and im worried about this new one.
    Thanks a lot

      Hi Hashim, I would recommend to keep that plant outside in fresh air and in complete shade once in few days, maybe once in a week! Also i hope the plant is not touching the glass window and is not exposed to fan or direct air from ac or cooler! That could be a reson for leaf falling!

    Our tree has lost all leaves since moving it outside and now is re-sprouting a brand new fresh tree from the base disconnected from its existing trunks (it's in a large pot). Should I move the tree back inside so that leaves sprout from its existing branches?

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the tree gets a lot of light (indirect) then it is ok to put it in! Or you can keep it outside and it should grow outside as well provided if it is not in direct sun!

    Losing about 10 leaves in a day . But other leaves look healthy
    it’s indoor fully. There is a ceiling fan also inside the room. Have not placed it outside . Today it barely has any leaves in the bottom section . Room temperature is around 24-30 degrees Celsius . Chennai climate
    it gets a lot of indirect sunlight . If you don’t mind can you share your email id ? I can show you pics and video of the plants . It’s losing a lot of leaves and we don’t want to lose the plant. Emotional about it

    • @MMMPlants
      @MMMPlants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I love Chennai by the way. Also, Its a moist place I believe and when the plant is inside it requires less water, please check the soil before you water. Water only if it is dry. Also it should not be kept under ac or fan as the direct air from fan and ac will make the leaves dry and they fall. I would prefer to keep it away from glass as well as if it touches glass then sudden changes in temperature causes stress for plants.
