They are all great. I went with the PKGO. I got it heavily discounted for cosmetic defects. Being able to expand to 400 square inches of cooking space sealed the deal. That and it will last forever.
The option of moving the hot coal up or down is the way to go. The only way you won't need it is if everybody is sitting down on the table so when the food is ready you better serve it right away or leave on the grill and it will burn your food. I have kids, and being able to stretch the cooking time on some of the pieces, keep food warm without overcooking and so on. Yea, the static one is perfect for 1 scenario. My 2 cents.
The PK GO is the most amazing portable grill and the flip kit is not as much $$ as you stated. I bought mine directly from PK for $369 WITH the flip kit. For tailgating or camping having 2 separate hibachi’s for burgers and brats or chicken is amazing. It’s also one fantastic mini smoker for indirect cooking or smoking a pork butt. It’s worth every penny!
Great Comparison and Review, Tom! Thank-You for all you do in product review and short cooking demonstrations! You cover all the details and answer the questions we want answered! Cheers
Love the charcoal tray on my rambler. I use it for searing quite a bit. Installed a gasket on the lid and grill itself. Thought I’d need the latches but the weight of the lid helped it seal nicely after a few days of settling. Just got a 13 inch cast iron griddle that fits the rambler perfectly. Great video!
Great video as always, I think the Oaklahoma Joe Hitch would be a more comparable to the Chargriller as they both do the same things. The Rambler is great but more in a different weight class. Thanks for the video on the Rambler, I bought one used after seeing your review on it!
I went back and forth between the Rambler and PKGO for a couple of years before buying PKGO. I didn't want to make the modifications you did on Rambler. Kick Ash makes a basket for PKGO. That plus lining the bottom with aluminum foil makes cleanup really easy.
I already have a Weber Q and Smokey Joe, so I am not compelled to buy another portable grill. However, if someone forced me to buy one of these today, my wallet and the KISS principle tells me the CharGriller would be the way to go. If money wasn't considered, I also like the PKGO, would not consider the Oklahoma Joe.
Thanks for watching! Was considering the akorn for the comparison, but since it’s a kamado it fits more in the kamado grilling area. It does work well for high heat a limited on the indirect side
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ oohh! I was super surprised to see you didn’t include it! “Tf “is a bad word lol. I wanna try to do a mod installing an ash dump! If you figure out anything please make a video!
PKGO all day. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
A friend of mine has the Oklahoma Joe Rambler. He completely digs it.
It was good talking to you this morning Tom. Thanks for your time.
Thanks for Watching! See you soon
I LOVE My Char-Griller!!!! Amazing Little Grill!!!
Thanks for watching Steve! Agreed

The Best?????? All depends on the user. The Pk will never rust....that a plus. 👍
Thanks for Watching Ken! Agreed!
I just got a rambler on sale for $100. I love this grill until I can get my 26-in Weber leader this year
Thanks for Watching Dave! Enjoy!

Very nice review Tom. Fun times with grills.😃
I prefer this style of grill more than the kettles just by a little(don’t get mad at me). 😉
Thanks for watching Eric! Lol
I'm thinking the OK Joe if I can get it sealed up well enough. Could extend the smoke stack and use it in a hot tent for camping maybe. Cheers.
Thanks for watching!
I’d probably go with the PKgo I think the aluminum tub will probably hold up better long term.
Thanks for watching! I agree
I have the chargriller and love it.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the feedback
I love my rambler but find myself using the Weber Go Anywhere far more often.
Thanks for Watching! Appreciate the feedback
Hey Tom what were the little tables the grills were setting on. I need one bad. Hoping for me and the wife to go camping in two weeks.
Thanks for Watching Robert! Made by Weber, unfortunately not made anymore

Great review Tom:)
Glad you enjoyed it!
How does the Char-Griller side box compare with the Acorn jr?
I have had the akorn Jnr for some years its great, it has it limitations but for the $$$ its worth it.

@TheMayhem15 Thanks for watching and for the feedback
@@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ Save that for a small kamado comparison.
Where was the master built gravity portable? Tf!
Thanks for Watching! In its own category…what do you mean by “Tf”?
