I'm surprised that the rear view camera does not have some sort of automatic exposure setting built into it, similar you see on phone cameras, in order to get a clear image in dark settings. Amazing video man!
Hi! Did you ever figure this out? I'm planning to doing an install but this is my first car ever and I dont want to mess up. 2012 GT86 ZN6 Will the installation process be the same?
Is there a setting in the dashcam to adjust gps speed? I use plenty of those gps hud’s and they all allow adjustment so I can have it show exactly the same speed as the car speedo.. which in Australia shows roughly 100 when it’s really doing 95km/hr. Is it ok to mount the gps unit under the metal grill for the dash speaker? I thought that may interfere. Also I am wondering how you removed the panel under the steering wheel. Thanks.
I didn't check. Will have a look on that coz I dont remember. I placed the GPS antenna on top of the plate. So it works just fine. I have this other video for that part: th-cam.com/video/4kpHDyLqIuY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iE0F0iW0-vG65gQg

It does, just didnt include on the video. Took me some time to figure out the right settings.
This looks so clean!
Indeed. 👍
You can cut the tint to make a circle for the rear camera lens only
They actually provided a template for the tint cutout. But it’s too big and just wont look good. I’m gonna see all my options first
Another great video. Thanks. 👍🏻
Thanks for the support. People like you makes us make more videos! 👍👍
Great how-to video! Could you just cut out a small circle in the rear window tint so the rear camera is not obstructed? No need to replace the tint
Yeah, they sent out a template for the cutout and its pretty big. Might cut it out and place a lighter tint.
Great instructions! Do you know which wiring harness I should get for GT86 ZN6?
First check if you have the connector behind the dash. I think this one is compatible:

@@chillydojah6619 Couldn't find wiring harness for ZN6 so spliced power from the cigarette lighter in the glove box instead
It seems like only JDM cars has the harness behind the steering wheel.

Is the acc harness works for North America vehicles?
Hearing from my subscribers, it seems like you don’t get the accessory harness behind the steering wheel.
Can i use this on the america gr86 or is it only for the japanese market?
I think it's only available on the JDM market. Also the language setting is only Japanese. 🤷♂️
@@39gjapan aw gg. Thx for the reply
