    Now this is what I call a perfect video. I watch 50 soap videos daily but they all are incomplete.. Few never show a lather test of final product.. Few don't mention all ingredients,..you made another soap with freshly created soap base which was wonderful addition to this video.. Since you have done it beautifully..       Sweating is one of the biggest problems with glycerin soap as its main ingredient is glycerin, and glycerin attracts moisture. Best is to keep it wrapped in clingflim soon after unmolding and to store in a cool dry area. When using it, place it on a soap dish that has holes in the bottom so no water gathers on the soap.

    Opaque means no light can pass, the term you're looking for is translucent which means light passes through. You can't say opaque and then show text through the bar.

    I have been made my glycerin soap according to your video and i have poured the transparent mixture to my molds but till now only the outer layer solidified, it took about 6 hours but till now not solidified completely. I dont know why?

    Hi, yes you can make your own solution by dissolving 166 g sugar to 83 g water ( 2 sugar to 1 water solution). Heat it gently to dissolve completely

    much better to use a pan on an induction hob you can control a better consistent temperature . Slow cookers are too slow, with an induction hob you can set a desired temp and it will get to it quickly and stay there.

      hi, you can add extracts and essential oil at 1% of the total weight, this is added right at the end before you pour. Some Essential oils can react, so test it first with a small batch of soap

      Yes, you can. Blend your mica with a little Glycerin to blend it before adding to the main base, then add and stir gently.

      Hi, I haven’t tried a substitute yet. But you do get a more natural version of propylene glycol called Propanediol made from corn. Still need to give in a try

    Fantastic video. If I wanted to add fragrance to the entire batch before pouring would I need to reduce the alcohol or pg by the percentage fragrance I want to use or can the fragrance be added without any deductions. Also, what percentage fragrance is allowable for this recipe?

      To melt the SCI I used a high heat setting. Once everything is melted you can lower to temperature to low

      Hi, not sure what about the film you are describing, naturally gylcerine soap will moisturizer the skin. And added oils will add more moisturizing properties.

      Yes, you can. This is a hot process, so you have already "cooked" out the lye. Once the soap has set, you can use it.

    Hello there. I'm a beginner in soap making. After adding the lye solution to the oil and waiting for it to get to the gel phase, the mixture becomes harder as i wait instead of getting to that soft gel phase. Can you please tell me where i did wrong? Thanks ahead.

      I'm not 100% sure why that happened but i know if the temperatures of the two products are different it will cause it to seize up a bit, but it should re-melt once everything warms ups.

    You don't happen to have a recipe with sugar instead of sorbitol, do you? Sugar is a lot less money. I also can't find a sorbitol solution of 25%. I can find 70% but it's nearly $1 an ounce.

      Hi, you could try different oils or butters but just keep in mind they all have different consistencies and melting points which would result in a softer soap

      It depends on the temperature of the area it is kept. In winter, my soap will set in 30 minutes but in summer it can take 1-2 hours. You can also place it in the fridge to speed up the process but remember because of the glycerin it might sweat because it attracts moisture

      Alcohols can damage the skin's natural protective layer and seriously reduce the presence of the natural oils your skin needs to stay healthy. They are very drying and harsh on the skin, causing irritation and detracting from the skin's natural regeneration

      Shelf life is about 12 months or longer. Soap doesn't really expire, it will get dry or crack so it is best to wrap and seal it, to prevent moisture loss.

      This soap base can keep for months, maybe even a year or 2. If it is kept wrapped in cling film, it should last a long time.

    This is not glycerin soap. This is coconut oil soap. I wish you contant creators would just title your videos exactly what you’re making. Glycerin soap is made with glycerin anything else.

      If you read more about vegetable glycerin, you will know that it is plant-based and typically comes from soy, palm, and coconut oils. The chemical process that coconut oil undergoes in saponification produces glycerol

    Propylene glycol is worse than alcohol. I don't know why you opted for something worse for the skin and environment.
