Taxi and takeoff looking up from the side stick. A bit of a crosswind on this takeoff, hence the major side stick movement on the rotation and climb out. Hope you enjoy it. Like, subscribe and share.
@@RichardCunningham65 ok cool. All of my flying is with a yoke but it was, as you say a different and interesting feel flying with a side stick. Got a lil touch off an SR22. Just wondered how it was on a bigger airplane.
Richard wha gwaan big boss? Are you trained to fly different planes or it's a situation where if you fly one you can fly all? Thanks for the videos bredren.
Hi Jason. Every aircraft type requires training, particularly when a type relating is required. A even though the Airbus families are very similar, I had to be trained and checked on all the types I have flown, i.e. A320, A330 & A340. Same goes for the Boeing aircrafts. I was trained on the B767, but if I was to get a job flying a B777, for example, I would need training for that as well.
Unless you have an ailment that stops you from getting a medical certificate, it doesn’t matter how old you are. I learned to fly at 36. Many have learned even later in life. Age is just a number.
Hey Richie, nice video. Do you feel you have more or less control using a side stick versus a yoke? View at the end was really nice 😊
Thx Brit. I don’t feel as though I have any more or less control either way. It’s just a different feel.

Thanks Richard keep sending the videos. I maybe too old now to get my pilot's license 😊.
