- Finally, the last challenge in the Pokémon League is Lance, the Dragon master. Now this guy is a bitch to defeat: 3 Dragonites, one super fast Aerodactyl, Charizard and Gyarados.
Actually, I really enjoyed this battle, I had a lot of fun. And... Lapras ftw!

Rules of being a Pokemon champion:
1. Cheat levels,
2. Cheat moves,
3. Spam full restores.
The moves aren't exactly cheat, because can be obtained through TMs, breeding, and staying unevolved your Pokémon until a certain level.

In case you guys didn't know, all of Lance's Dragonites' in this video were premature. Dragonair isn't supposed to evolve into Dragonite until Level 55.

Gold and Silver legitimately felt a sequel to the games Red and Blue... With Lance usurping the Champion role, Bruno moving up, Koga moving up. Everyone progressed somehow.

Quality Gaming I feel that HG and SS could have and should have brought back the Sevii Islands and made Lorelei a boss there. As for Agatha, maybe put her in Lavender Town as an optional boss. Despite Lavender town not being spooky anymore.

Then there was Red, one of only 2 trainers to have beaten Lance before.
Tyler Pax Blue, Red, Gold, and the Black/White 2 Protagonists beat Lance. Lyra/Crystal also beat Lance if you consider her cannon.

Blitz 41026 the victory road is the only good place to grind exp before the elite four lol. especially golbats which give almost 800 exp. how do i know that? well, i spent many hours grinding in victory road, duh

First time with Lance I was totally owned and had to scurry off for a day Elite 4 training.
Dragonites were completely op af and I had no Ice Moves then...

To anyone who is struggling: Lance will deploy one certain pokemon depending which pokemon was used to defeat his pokemon. He will use pokemon with super effective attacks which are effective against your (current) pokemon. In a nutshell, the game is rigged against you. His pokemon are actually weak, because you have the advantage to use battle items to boost your stats, which is quite helpfull. It seems like most people don't use these items. You can buy them in any store. You wanna know how usefull they are? Well, on my third playthrough I decided to deploy Lugia on Lvl. 47 and gave him those battle items to raise it's stats. In the end, Lugia whiped out Lance' pokemon alone. This is not a joke. Anyone can pull that off.
Speedrunners use battle items, but most people prefer either grinding or stat boosting moves
Now I feel guilty because I quit the game at this point and now I can't find it

rishi tahloe grind in the victory road my pokemon where all level 50 when they beat lance now there in the 80 and 70's my charizard is the strongest though it's level 90

So,my strategy. Bait. For example. He sends out his Dragonite,one of the Level 49’s. I can’t tell from a glance wether it has Blizzard or Thunder,so I use Gyrados as bait. Then I switch to Typhlosion. Boom. If it works,great. If not...I’m screwed.
Post Battle Edit:It wormed! It may have been a fight to the literal death with little to no healing items,but it was epic! 5 Full Restores Later,I score a Critical Hit with Ice Fang,down goes his last Dragonite! And the funny thing is,I had no intention of fighting Lance that run,so I just said screw it!

Hmm, hard to say..... Cynthia is a more well-rounded opponent, while Lance has a steeper level cap, thereby making the fight more difficult.

Hey guys, I know I’m a bit late but I need some help: every time I try to mark my Pokémon in the pc box, the markers resets after a while, anyone that knows how to fix this? I’m playing in openemu on my Mac if that makes any difference.

Step two level it up to level 55 or higher if needed
Step three teach it rollout
Step four start off the match using rollout and don’t stop
The Notorious Ginger rollout and typhlosion?? Just put any Pokemon with an ice move that dragonite has 4x weakness
just use ice moves
How does your Ampharos know Thunderbolt? You can only get the TM by getting all 16 badges and Ampharos doesn't learn it through leveling up.

Aerodactyl is very clutch, I think it could single handedly type coverage your entire squad...not beat but it had a diverse move pool
You can't sacrificate Ampharos and Lapras, since they're the best Pokémon to challenge Lance.

This battle is harder if you pick Cyndaquil as starter. All of Lance's Pokémon resist Fire, and two of them can hit super-effectively. Meganium has enough Defense to survive the moves in this battle, and can still use Reflect. Feraligatr can learn Water and Ice-type moves.
Gabriel William da Silva both meganium and feraligatr are weak against lance

Taina Fernandez Surf, Ice Beam and Thunderbolt are the only moves you'll ever need.
