All these years later my hands still get a little clammy when Garchomp appears. Many hours of stressful battles. I nearly threw my ds into the air when I finally beat her.
@Lloyd Johannessen Hmm yeah, but i don't see Roserade tanking anything, besides it takes neutral damage from ground. I think that its smarter to take ground attacks with Staraptor.
Blue, and You in Sun and Moon were a nice symbolic touch and an awesome means of storytelling, and while Lance, Steven, Wallace, Alder, Iris, and Diantha were fine enough (Well, less so Alder and Iris), there's only been one champion who's earned the title of "Final Boss."
Manel Miquelino it was platinum wasn't it? Have you tried in Diamond or Pearl games? She is way more difficult there so they nerfed her a little in Platinum.
The strangest thing happened when I was fighting Cynthia. She sent out her Garchomp and I sent out my Garchomp. After that she missed FOUR FREAKING DRAGON RUSHES! I was able to win with my level 50 Garchomp. ( I lost to her four times before that.) Also, no emulator. Just a real DS.
*😀 I remember the first time I ever played Pokémon Platinum YEARS ago in 2009! The 4 things I COMPLETELY wasn't ready for that blew me right away, were Mt. Coronet, Spear Pillar, the Distortion World and...CYNTHIA! 😲 Loved Pokémon for years, now and my bro Callum is literally a "Pokemaniac" 😂 He was the 1 who got me into Pokémon! I love my family and Pokémon so much, I really do. Thank you and have a fantabulous day! 😆👍✌*
Man your going through this marathon quite quickly. The Altaria in the beginning was a nice way to pull of a quick sweep, but that sucks that it didnt work
Altaria swept half of the team. Screw the haters that say set-up moves in the story battles don’t matter, because especially this battle, they are helpful.
Cunythia is my fav Champion. Her Pokémon are sheer ownage. And she gave a challenge, just like your Rival in FRLG. My fav soundtrack is the RSE Champion one, though.
Never had a hard time with her tbh. Maybe it's because by the time I got DPPt, I've already learned EV-training, in addition to which moves to use better, and the Physical-Special split.
your battle was a whole lot more exciting than my elite 4 gauntlet, when i beat them, my highest level was 51 and nobody was strong enough to take even 1 of roserade's attacks so i spammed revives until energy ball lost it's PP then just sent in my steel types to finish the job.
My team: 1st try, Infernape Staraptor Umbreon Luxray Garchomp LV. 4 bidoof 2nd try, Infernape Umbreon Garchomp Staraptor Giratina I think you know why I lost the first time...
My team was: Empoleon Roserade Magmortar Magnezone Gliscor Dusknoir From my very apparent fire weakness her flamethrower garchomp gave me quite the trouble, but after 5 tries i managed to sweep with sword dance gliscor and a few Full restores. It only took me 5 tries but it still was the hardest champion fight in my opinion.
Weaknesses Spiritomb - Dark type moves, Bite Garchomp - Starter type moves Lucario - Psychic or flying types Milotic - Electric types Togekiss - Fighting types Roserade - Flying or Fire types
Cynthia was a big challenge to all of us back then, and that piano still give us trauma! Anyways, here's how to beat her and her pokémon! [Fairies won't count since they weren't back then] *Spiritomb:* Her first pokemon! She has no weakness until X Y sadly. But beat her with some pokemon moves! Anything of course except psychic and fighting. *Garchomp:* Her toughest and strongest pokémon! Beat that Garchomp with Ice/Dragon type moves! *Lucario:* Ah yes, the most popular pokémon and also in smash, beat that Lucario with fighting/fire/ground type moves! *Milotic:* Mirror coat, beat that Milotic with Grass/Electric types moves! *Toge👄:* Oh, beat that pokémon with Ice/Rock/Electric types moves! And last but not least.......... *🌹 serade:* Her last pokémon! That's a Grass/Poison type pokémon. Beat her with Fire/Psychic/Flying/Ice type Pokémon!
Won against Cynthia with Torterra lvl 57 Weavile lvl 56 Floatzel lvl 55 Honchkrow lvl 55 Porygon 2 lvl 56 Mismagius lvl 55 Used 2 Hyper Potions and each Pokemon had a Sitrus berry
*I'd love to help, but I'm afraid I can't remember how you get the TM Dragon Dance, or even if it is a TM. Sorry about that, buddy. 😓 Oh, wait a second, I've just remembered I had a Dragonite who learnt Dragon Dance by level-up! So why not catch a Dratini and level it up and evolve it to get Dragon Dance!? Good luck, bud! 😆👍✌*
Today I completed Pokémon Platinum! And this champion battle was the hardest one I ever had... My team: Empoleon lv58 Staraptor lv52 Jolteon lv53 Giratina lv51 (caught in dusk ball. Yes it is effective in Distortion World) And... Geodude lv8 Bidoof lv4))
Hands down, toughest champion of all time
Second toughest I would say is blue since his team can practically deal with any type
+Wes Hurtado AI was shit though
Iris in Pokemon White 2 is much harder.
with basically an all dragon type team kinda
i litertally swept it with a glaceon and salamance lmao
Cool Le Hahaha yeah right! you wish! Iris is by far way easy.

Drayano60
thanks for making Blaze Black and Volt White series. You are a legend.
Dragon Dance spam. That's a... weird tactic if I've ever seen one, but... clearly very effective... very effective.
What do you mean it’s weird? It’s used in basically every team in competitive.
You must've never been to competitive battling then? Or even pokemon showdown?
Dragon dance is very common in Competitive and in using just 1 pokemon to sweep in Actual Pokemon games.
Watching the setup was fucking painful but it's a legit tactic.
I cant remove this awesome music from my head!! Its too Awesome
*3:23** Cynthia sends out my FAVOURITE Pokémon! 😀👍*
This is my favorite pokémon too
Respect for using my fave flooffy boi Altaria and wiping half her team with it
Imagine if every Pokemon game was as hard as this.
The other elite four had level 50 Pokemon, so I wasn't expecting her to send out a level 62 Garchomp.
That level 62 garchomp had me scared for my life that day lol
My team:
Empoleon lv 48
Staraptor lv 51
Garchomp lv 49
Gallade lv 47
Roserade lv 49
Houndoom lv 50
Rate my team :)
Half of your team is weak to ground, leaving that aside is a ok team.
@Lloyd Johannessen Hmm yeah, but i don't see Roserade tanking anything, besides it takes neutral damage from ground. I think that its smarter to take ground attacks with Staraptor.
GG. My team back then was a Milotic, Garchomp, Infernape, Staravia, Luxray, and Espeon.
I am ready to be destroyed by Cynthia and her Garchomp again.
This dude wiped out half of cynthias team with one pokemon
AND I HATED IT SO DAMN MUCH WHEN SHE RESTORED
I wish they kept the little angle change animation from dp. It looked really cool.
This video bring memory when I evolve my Electabuzz and olaying with Electrivire
Everyone says Garchomp was a beast. I one hit killed him with my Glaceon.
I know. one strong ice beam ice punch or blizzard (if it hits) can finish garchomp. Although I finished it with my infer ape level 70
i defeated him by luck i had a lv.49 glaceon spamming ice beam and ice fang
Manel Miquelino it was platinum wasn't it? Have you tried in Diamond or Pearl games? She is way more difficult there so they nerfed her a little in Platinum.
Jess In Comments It was in Pearl.
Manel Miquelino I transfered my feraligatr and used dragon claw twice. Feraligatr was only lvl 57
cynthia triggered me asf until i learned about rare candies
it took me 40 minutes to beat her
i only had 5 full restores and 5 max revives ...
and my pokemon were at lv 52. so yeah it was stressful
My Lucario managed to take down Garchomp. Quite a close match.
*Yeah, go Lucario! 😆👍*
The strangest thing happened when I was fighting Cynthia. She sent out her Garchomp and I sent out my Garchomp. After that she missed FOUR FREAKING DRAGON RUSHES! I was able to win with my level 50 Garchomp. ( I lost to her four times before that.)
Also, no emulator. Just a real DS.
Ok but why is no one talking about how cool she looks at 0:21
*😀 I remember the first time I ever played Pokémon Platinum YEARS ago in 2009!
The Altaria in the beginning was a nice way to pull of a quick sweep, but that sucks that it didnt work
Just lost to her now. It's not even the garchomp that made me mad, it was the rest of her team.
0:11 it starts (if you hate waiting like me)
Altaria swept half of the team.
Screw the haters that say set-up moves in the story battles don’t matter, because especially this battle, they are helpful.
Its very common in sweeping teams especially if its a hard champion, people who say that probably never played competitive
Who’s ready for Cynthia’s return this year?
7:57 when you feel happy after beating Cynthia and the Elite Four
Very nice background music. I like it a lot. :)
Just a few seconds ago, I beat cynthia, however my journey has not ended , the pokedez and dialga and palkia still remain
Cunythia is my fav Champion. Her Pokémon are sheer ownage. And she gave a challenge, just like your Rival in FRLG. My fav soundtrack is the RSE Champion one, though.
the real reason we don't get a remake is that even gamefreak is afraid of cynthia
Never had a hard time with her tbh. Maybe it's because by the time I got DPPt, I've already learned EV-training, in addition to which moves to use better, and the Physical-Special split.
It’s hard when all ur Pokémon are lvl 45 😢
I love Cynthia's theme
your battle was a whole lot more exciting than my elite 4 gauntlet, when i beat them, my highest level was 51 and nobody was strong enough to take even 1 of roserade's attacks so i spammed revives until energy ball lost it's PP then just sent in my steel types to finish the job.
this isn't a real battle at all. he just used dragon dance 6 times, using a hyper potion to live longer and then sweep. that's not a real victory :l
Oh no, excuse me, her Milotic survives the Altria and shows just how much of a pleb he is.
ChakraX2
Its called strategy. Beating Cynthia requires strategy. Beating her without the use of potions seems impossible to me.
Not even! Gotta get good man!
ChakraX2
And these people never complain that every champion spams full restores... Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be practicing competitive battling.
ChakraX2 If you think Dragon Dance is cheating, you're a complete moron
of course you going to win with all them dragon dances
*Did I just see milotic tank a +6 attack dragon claw from altaria plus stab?*
Best champion ever and the toughest
who else was going through the emotions during this video
My Pokémon: NOOOOO
My feet: *TIRINIIIII NININININIIININIII*
My team:
Empoleon
Drifblim
Garchomp
Electivire
Machamp
Drapion
cynthia traumatized me lmao but still love her xd
high quality would make a very minuscule difference, it's not really worth it
Drayano60 honestly
My team:
1st try,
Infernape
Staraptor
Umbreon
Luxray
Garchomp
LV. 4 bidoof
2nd try,
Infernape
Umbreon
Garchomp
Staraptor
Giratina
I think you know why I lost the first time...
I stopped using my HM Bibarel after getting Riley's egg
My team was:
Empoleon
Roserade
Magmortar
Magnezone
Gliscor
Dusknoir
From my very apparent fire weakness her flamethrower garchomp gave me quite the trouble, but after 5 tries i managed to sweep with sword dance gliscor and a few Full restores. It only took me 5 tries but it still was the hardest champion fight in my opinion.
Oh btw she has perfect IVs
Weaknesses
Spiritomb - Dark type moves, Bite
Garchomp - Starter type moves
Lucario - Psychic or flying types
Milotic - Electric types
Togekiss - Fighting types
Roserade - Flying or Fire types
spiritomb has no weakness
@@massigshorts yea its a ghost type. Ghosts are weak to dark types. If its a primarily dark type, use foresight and a fighting move.
Lucario isn't weak to Psychic. It's only weak to Fighting, Fire, & Ground. Flying isn't effective against it as well.
@@ghostmcghost3768 It's the same as Sableye it has no weaknesses prior to Gen. 6 which introduced the Fairy typing.
The only starter pokemon that can take out Garchomp is Empoleon since it can learn Ice-type moves.
Redid this battle so many times...
Cynthia was a big challenge to all of us back then, and that piano still give us trauma! Anyways, here's how to beat her and her pokémon! [Fairies won't count since they weren't back then]
*Spiritomb:* Her first pokemon!
Won against Cynthia with
Torterra lvl 57
Weavile lvl 56
Floatzel lvl 55
Honchkrow lvl 55
Porygon 2 lvl 56
Mismagius lvl 55
Used 2 Hyper Potions and each Pokemon had a Sitrus berry
Torterra-starter
Weavile-good
Floatzel-common
Honchkrow-good
Porygon 2-good
Mismagius-common
3/6 :D...!!!
Oh no you no again ;-;
*Flahsbacks
THANKS 4 USING ALTARIA! SHE IS SOOOOOOOO COOL AND CUTE!!!
This isn't a battle, this Is a strategy
my winning team (believe it or not)😂 :
garchomp lvl 54
weavile lvl 54
empoleon lvl 53
togekiss lvl 53
gallade lvl 53
houndoom lvl 53
I am not sure if anyone is going to read this but how do you get dragon dance in this game?
*I'd love to help, but I'm afraid I can't remember how you get the TM Dragon Dance, or even if it is a TM. Sorry about that, buddy. 😓 Oh, wait a second, I've just remembered I had a Dragonite who learnt Dragon Dance by level-up! So why not catch a Dratini and level it up and evolve it to get Dragon Dance!? Good luck, bud! 😆👍✌*
I loved that milotic *ICE BEAM*
Today I completed Pokémon Platinum! And this champion battle was the hardest one I ever had...
My team:
Empoleon lv58
Staraptor lv52
Jolteon lv53
Giratina lv51 (caught in dusk ball. Yes it is effective in Distortion World)
And...
Geodude lv8
Bidoof lv4))
