Encountered a new player yesterday and actually tried having an interaction. Gave him food, soda, a can opener and pointed him towards the nearest town. Felt good...then I realized I had pointed him towards the small base I had just raided where I replaced all the water bottles with gasoline...pretty sure I sent him on his way to find that and get poisoned. RIP poor new player I wanted to help!
@@lechking941 the guys who had the base I raided had previously attacked mine and my friends base and killed one of us. So, we raided them and I left them some gifts in the form of gasoline water bottles.

Just last night I was trying to patch my newbie buddy up snd it wasn’t working snd a random With a motorbike helmet came up trying to talk and scared my friend shitless. I switched to game chat after the game glitched and didn’t let me patch my friend, then this stranger bandages my friend. We were gonna group up The server reset right after and we had to go but it was a very nice interaction

I agree man! Everything feels very close to real life. You are actually scared shitless when someone shoots at you or the driving in this game also feels pretty damn good when you´re not glitching into the next tree.

I have only ever played the Arma 2 Mod version of this game (installing DayZ now), but man the best times were getting a bus/pickup truck, fixing it up and then collecting newly spawned players on the beach and raiding all the major loot areas. There is nothing quite like spending 4+ hours driving around a bus looting airfields with a bunch of people and having a laugh while doing it. Definately the best times in DayZ. Hope to recreate that sometime.

Played the DAYZ for the first time this past weekend. (free weekend on Steam). I've only played a few survival games in the past and almost exclusively on PS4. …. sooo I basically played all weekend and bought it Monday. I already know I'm going to dump endless hrs into the game. I played all weekend without watching any guides or learning anything except thru gameplay experience. Now that I feel I got some of the basics down, I'm going to watch some vids and actually learn about the game and features. So thanks for the guides & tutorials! Last thing, I'll share an early introduction to DAYZ experience - All weekend I didn't have more than a few hand waves interactions and 1 guy who never said or did anything other than follow me around until he died... Monday, one of my first spawns (maybe the first) after actually buying DAYZ, I spawned at night with nothing more than a glow stick, plum and rags but I was near some houses, so ran and tried to loot the few houses in the dark- didn't find much and decided I'd try to hole up until I could see a little (if I didn't freeze first). A player saw the light, came to the house and asked me if I needed any food or help. … I was like wow, wtf? Is the guy going to try and kill me? (I did have 1 interaction like that on the weekend too) But he gave me food, we traveled around for a while, showed me how to make fire and some other tips! It was very cool. It all ended well. I will say, he mentioned the cannibalism thing and ran me around in a big circle until I died … so he may have eaten me, I don't know. But hey it was a learning experience none-the-less :) AWESOME GAME!!

Make ur way close to the coast. Stash the loot and go back. It’s risky I usually have a 2nd account for this reason. Plus if I die I have a 2nd guy pulling up on you instantly and it’s me
Yeah, my character also has Brain Prion because I at my brother once he froze to death.... Anyways, it’s funny hearing people in game chat react when I roll up with my crazy laugh.

Ish, this has been super super helpful! After many months of watching DayZ I finally bit the bullet (so to speak) and bought the game. Been playing for two days straight, but kept dying from starvation. Remembered you mentioned this vid in one of your streams so came here for your help. @@AmishZed Okay. Got attacked by wolves, became ill. I bandaged with a bandage, not a dirty non-disinfected rag ( may have inadvertently let the first cut heal on its own, cos I swam in to the middle of a lake to get away from the wolves, then went back to shore killed them, bandaged with a regular bandage but became ill anyway. I am 4 tetracycline in, gave myself a blood transfusion with clean blood I took at the beginning of my life, but my health is still heading south. So, if there are any vids you could make advising on what to do in these circumstances they would be most welcome. Scared to log back in. :D
Wow, this game goes much farther in depth than I initially thought! I remember the farthest I got on my own was a few guns and a hatchet, and I died because I lost all my health from a fight with a zombie trying to get food.. Love how dying can even be exhilarating, huddled up next to a burning furnace hoping that my health regenerates and I don’t bleed out. Thanks for the info!
Awesome video. Just started playing three days ago and must say the player interactions part is spot on. I met some guy tonight on a PVE server I just joined today and we've been traveling together from the coast all the way north pretty much became travel friends after a few hours of traveling together.
I play the Livonia map mainly, enjoy the exploration and the fear as your heart pounds when you are at night and hear the wolfs, surviving the attack be it wildlife, player or a nbc strike and curing the illness even if you have to sell everything at a loss to get the cure, just go explore take more caution till you can gear up again... and when I do not have time to play i watch youtubers play and learn from their mistakes or actions
Just got the game a couple days ago. It's challenging without a goal for sure but if you're playing on a high player count server people will always be entertaining haha. Mostly just hanging out sometimes. Brawling. Music. It's definitely a good time.

I was playing on a "roleplay server" and wanted to make a peaceful farm to help people I found barrels and tents and I set them up In a field and next thing i know I'm being attacked again and again before they even talked to me I must've killed 20 people in 30 mins each one in self defense

Love your description of DayZ... It really isn't all about the firefight... a lot of people play it strictly as a pvp "battle royal" style game and it's really not that... there is so much more depth to it than that... Although, I hate it now that it's been put up on gamepass... all the servers are full, with 100+ player wait times and the only ones that aren't completely full are the community pvp servers... where it's just like one big game of fortnite... it's ruining an already broken game... but I suppose I still love it... just hope it gets removed from gamepass soon :/
I have a rp server on Xbox if youd like the discord, its had 5 days of RP interaction only like robbing and talking and theres no KOS and base raids any the trader is open and buys and sells everything. It has it own currency system. On Saturday is base defense from other player raiders and on Sunday its KOS everywhere. Its a pretty good server and the admins and players are well chill. Its only like a month in wipe and it wipes every 3-4 months. It has 500+ members and the servers always a medium pop during day and like a very low at like 6 in the morning. During events its like a 2 queue
Bruh first game I ever played was amazing on DayZ. Met 2 dudes, one other noob and one pro. We made a fire and camped the night while eating fruits and cooked fishes one of them fished. The « trust no one » rule is bullshit imo.
The trust no one is only when you get tl the t3 or 4 zones. When everyone is after the good shit other wise you can generally trust people in any pvp survival. But do keep an eye on others because death is annoying.
Encountered a new player yesterday after just starting to get on my feet, I had a field vest, hunting jacket, pants, and a decent backpack. I also had some extra food and water. I helped the new player who said he was starving, gave him some water and food. He didn't know how to get to Cherno so i showed him. While looting around with him i found a sledgehammer and gave it to him so he had a weapon, This entire interaction lasted an hour. Its at this point we wanted to walk to Electro, and it was also at this time i started having trouble hearing him in game because of my discord. I told him "One second man, i have to tab out and mute discord I'm having trouble hearing you". When i tabbed back into the game that guy i helped had killed me with the sledgehammer i gave him and took all of my stuff, Ahh welcome to DayZ....
It just always baffles me that people do this Shit because all of that beginning-mid tier loot is so easy to find lol...it’s not like you had military gear...
Current character traveled half the map looking for a cure to cholera. It was fun having to jump from well to well sipping constantly, hoping to find the right meds. It made its own storyline lol. Now I'm cured and trying to figure out what's next 🤣 I'm a new player so still learning!
I love stuff like this, when environmental factors give you a huge challenge to overcome. Yesterday we were attacked by wolves with a chambered makarov, managed to fight them off with low blood and health. but survived, healed up, and got into some fun firefights later on. MAkes you appreciate the character more when they make it through stuff like that.
Well summarized AmishZed. I enjoy watching your twitch streams and TRMZ. With all the bugs, DayZ is still a very unique game and can be addictive. As a newbie, i had to do a lot of digging outside the game to learn crafting, weapon spawn points, base building and map locations. And till now I still find in difficult to identify where i spawn, but there are videos out there to help. But the discoveries and unpredictable new encounters along the way makes the game intriguing. I think the lack of scripting and no end game lets you make the game your own to create your story. It’s brilliant! I bought this game on PS4 after watching lots of videos from The RunningManZ, you, PolishedGuy, JLK and others. From watching, its clearer that the PS4 experience is not as polished and expansive as the PC Version. Why i need to get a decent PC.

My first "encounter" that I survived was basically coming in the back end of a game 20 minutes before a server restart and literally coming up on no loot except for a motorcycle helmet apparently I had no chance of that changing everywhere I went had already been looted and the only constant was starter cloths that people had changed out of. I thought for a second I had come across another player I ran and hid just in case only to quickly realize it was a zombie and there were a few others around in close proximity which heard the commotion and came running. I ran and jumped on top of a car which was quickly surrounded by Zed as I looked around my high ground prison I knew I was stuck and then I began fantasizing a passer by either saving me or even putting me out of my misery the ladder began to seem just fine as time passed then I noticed that Zed had begun to sort of creat a path for me to run freely and possibly through enough obstacles I could get to safety with no time I jumped off the car and sprinted around through and over anything hopefully getting further and further as I came to a clearing just outside of town I finally decided to stop and see if my dinner hosts had indeed stopped following me or if I needed to figure something else out again and quick and there was nothing I was good. I ended up running through the forest where I broke a small tree to get my very first DayZ weapon... A log. I saw no one and I'm almost certain if anyone saw me they didn't follow me as fear of turning around turned into paranoia I was constantly checking my 6 😅👍 round 2 tonight boys
Yep, trust no one... but at first, extend some trust. Gave a guy a lift his past Saturday, wrecked my Gunther, then humped it to the coast at Solonichi to get picked up by my bud in a boat. We made our way up the coast north, and were almost at out first outpost on the server when he got real shady and we realized we were being followed by a huey. Later we had a little-bird hovering overhead in the darkness, so we lit a signal fire and tried to make friends. They buggered off after the 5min till server restart came up, and never came back. Maybe next time on HappyBombs Ish. ZER.
I just got the game like a week ago, somehow made it to the airbase. Met a new player. Had a stand off but eventually trusted each other after talking. Then got attacked by 4 people in the air control tower. Died. He added me and now we play regularly together
I love this! I was once walking around and heard some ppl talking in a barn, said hi and teamed up with them. Ended up playing with those guys for years. DayZ is a special game
Coming back after a few years and just getting server choices was a chore. I Purchased new DLC and spawned in near Sobotka. It seems unchanged except for the map and the HUD at the lower right. Raining and cold so yea that works also.

Those were def sone of the top favs. This is also not only for new players but it coukd be for veteran players alike because you are always learning in this game no matter how much tine you have invested.. ***************Below is a spoiler alert. One of the first times i played the game i had collected some decent loot, after killing a zombie a player appeared behind me, he had worse gear than me and he was friendly, so i formed a friendship with him and a few minutes later we were looting a house, he had a shovel and i found a bottle on the ground and drank the water only for my "friend" to turn around and kill me. No wonder i have trust issues playing games now.

They are adding a new vehicle engine later this year, really hope it improves cars and makes it so they can add the bus back in

As a guy that spent most of my DayZ time in the Arma2 mod right after release, this is very good info for Standalone.

I bandaged with a bandage, not a dirty non-disinfected rag ( may have inadvertently let the first cut heal on its own, cos I swam in to the middle of a lake to get away from the wolves, then went back to shore killed them, bandaged with a regular bandage but became ill anyway. I am 4 tetracycline in, gave myself a blood transfusion with clean blood I took at the beginning of my life, but my health is still heading south. So, if there are any vids you could make advising on what to do in these circumstances they would be most welcome. Scared to log back in. :D
I persevered.....it took 9 Tetracycline tablets, but I am finally well again :D
Wow, this game goes much farther in depth than I initially thought! I remember the farthest I got on my own was a few guns and a hatchet, and I died because I lost all my health from a fight with a zombie trying to get food.. Love how dying can even be exhilarating, huddled up next to a burning furnace hoping that my health regenerates and I don’t bleed out. Thanks for the info!
The tip on getting stones to make a knife is a life saver. honestly have such a hard time finding tools and starve to death every hour.

Awesome video. Just started playing three days ago and must say the player interactions part is spot on. I met some guy tonight on a PVE server I just joined today and we've been traveling together from the coast all the way north pretty much became travel friends after a few hours of traveling together.
I play the Livonia map mainly, enjoy the exploration and the fear as your heart pounds when you are at night and hear the wolfs, surviving the attack be it wildlife, player or a nbc strike and curing the illness even if you have to sell everything at a loss to get the cure, just go explore take more caution till you can gear up again... and when I do not have time to play i watch youtubers play and learn from their mistakes or actions
Just got the game a couple days ago. It's challenging without a goal for sure but if you're playing on a high player count server people will always be entertaining haha. Mostly just hanging out sometimes. Brawling. Music. It's definitely a good time.

I was playing on a "roleplay server" and wanted to make a peaceful farm to help people I found barrels and tents and I set them up In a field and next thing i know I'm being attacked again and again before they even talked to me I must've killed 20 people in 30 mins each one in self defense
Sad man, I attempted to have an interaction with a person, ended up nice. 10 mins later I was blasted in the face with a shotgun

Love your description of DayZ... It really isn't all about the firefight... a lot of people play it strictly as a pvp "battle royal" style game and it's really not that... there is so much more depth to it than that... Although, I hate it now that it's been put up on gamepass... all the servers are full, with 100+ player wait times and the only ones that aren't completely full are the community pvp servers... where it's just like one big game of fortnite... it's ruining an already broken game... but I suppose I still love it... just hope it gets removed from gamepass soon :/

I have a rp server on Xbox if youd like the discord, its had 5 days of RP interaction only like robbing and talking and theres no KOS and base raids any the trader is open and buys and sells everything. It has it own currency system. On Saturday is base defense from other player raiders and on Sunday its KOS everywhere. Its a pretty good server and the admins and players are well chill. Its only like a month in wipe and it wipes every 3-4 months. It has 500+ members and the servers always a medium pop during day and like a very low at like 6 in the morning. During events its like a 2 queue

Bruh first game I ever played was amazing on DayZ. Met 2 dudes, one other noob and one pro. We made a fire and camped the night while eating fruits and cooked fishes one of them fished. The « trust no one » rule is bullshit imo.
The trust no one is only when you get tl the t3 or 4 zones. When everyone is after the good shit other wise you can generally trust people in any pvp survival. But do keep an eye on others because death is annoying.

Encountered a new player yesterday after just starting to get on my feet, I had a field vest, hunting jacket, pants, and a decent backpack. I also had some extra food and water. I helped the new player who said he was starving, gave him some water and food. He didn't know how to get to Cherno so i showed him. While looting around with him i found a sledgehammer and gave it to him so he had a weapon, This entire interaction lasted an hour. Its at this point we wanted to walk to Electro, and it was also at this time i started having trouble hearing him in game because of my discord. I told him "One second man, i have to tab out and mute discord I'm having trouble hearing you". When i tabbed back into the game that guy i helped had killed me with the sledgehammer i gave him and took all of my stuff, Ahh welcome to DayZ....
It just always baffles me that people do this Shit because all of that beginning-mid tier loot is so easy to find lol...it’s not like you had military gear...

Current character traveled half the map looking for a cure to cholera. It was fun having to jump from well to well sipping constantly, hoping to find the right meds. It made its own storyline lol. Now I'm cured and trying to figure out what's next 🤣 I'm a new player so still learning!
I love stuff like this, when environmental factors give you a huge challenge to overcome. Yesterday we were attacked by wolves with a chambered makarov, managed to fight them off with low blood and health. but survived, healed up, and got into some fun firefights later on. MAkes you appreciate the character more when they make it through stuff like that.

I reinstalled Dayz after not playing it since it first came out and I feel like my time playing rdr2 online has prepared me well for my journeys
Well summarized AmishZed. I enjoy watching your twitch streams and TRMZ. With all the bugs, DayZ is still a very unique game and can be addictive. As a newbie, i had to do a lot of digging outside the game to learn crafting, weapon spawn points, base building and map locations. And till now I still find in difficult to identify where i spawn, but there are videos out there to help. But the discoveries and unpredictable new encounters along the way makes the game intriguing.
I think the lack of scripting and no end game lets you make the game your own to create your story. It’s brilliant!
I bought this game on PS4 after watching lots of videos from The RunningManZ, you, PolishedGuy, JLK and others. From watching, its clearer that the PS4 experience is not as polished and expansive as the PC Version. Why i need to get a decent PC.

For those who do not know, you can also open cans of food with shovels.
My first "encounter" that I survived was basically coming in the back end of a game 20 minutes before a server restart and literally coming up on no loot except for a motorcycle helmet apparently I had no chance of that changing everywhere I went had already been looted and the only constant was starter cloths that people had changed out of. I thought for a second I had come across another player I ran and hid just in case only to quickly realize it was a zombie and there were a few others around in close proximity which heard the commotion and came running. I ran and jumped on top of a car which was quickly surrounded by Zed as I looked around my high ground prison I knew I was stuck and then I began fantasizing a passer by either saving me or even putting me out of my misery the ladder began to seem just fine as time passed then I noticed that Zed had begun to sort of creat a path for me to run freely and possibly through enough obstacles I could get to safety with no time I jumped off the car and sprinted around through and over anything hopefully getting further and further as I came to a clearing just outside of town I finally decided to stop and see if my dinner hosts had indeed stopped following me or if I needed to figure something else out again and quick and there was nothing I was good. I ended up running through the forest where I broke a small tree to get my very first DayZ weapon... A log. I saw no one and I'm almost certain if anyone saw me they didn't follow me as fear of turning around turned into paranoia I was constantly checking my 6 😅👍 round 2 tonight boys

Gave a guy a lift his past Saturday, wrecked my Gunther, then humped it to the coast at Solonichi to get picked up by my bud in a boat. We made our way up the coast north, and were almost at out first outpost on the server when he got real shady and we realized we were being followed by a huey.
Later we had a little-bird hovering overhead in the darkness, so we lit a signal fire and tried to make friends.
They buggered off after the 5min till server restart came up, and never came back.
Maybe next time on HappyBombs Ish.

Then got attacked by 4 people in the air control tower.
Died.
He added me and now we play regularly together

Coming back after a few years and just getting server choices was a chore. I Purchased new DLC and spawned in near Sobotka. It seems unchanged except for the map and the HUD at the lower right. Raining and cold so yea that works also.

Omg after watching this I'm realizing how much there is to this game and I'm very overwhelmed. . I don't even know what buttons to press to do different actions or how to find any food/water/gear/guns. Every house I went into was ransacked and im like okay wtf do I do now?? . . One of the first times i played the game i had collected some decent loot, after killing a zombie a player appeared behind me, he had worse gear than me and he was friendly, so i formed a friendship with him and a few minutes later we were looting a house, he had a shovel and i found a bottle on the ground and drank the water only for my "friend" to turn around and kill me.
No wonder i have trust issues playing games now.
