Checked the surrounding cabins, first cabin I opened there was a player hiding cooking some cow. He was friendly and have me some meat and a pistol with some ammo! Pretty cool experience
Whychilly maybe most likely . It wasn’t like I was spawned in the middle of no where , I kept spawning at Towns. Or at least mini towns . Every house every room empty ;-; I don’t get enough time to do things right ;(

Thats cos this game has been in a broken state since early acces and still is :),cos after 6 years it is still riddleed with buggs and even programmers and other devs have revieuwed thi game and say the devs broke more then the fixed with there[fix] patches and some ave left the company,terrain issues falling in walls really bad :)
You can also cook food with a cooking pot, gas stove, and a gas canister. Fill the cooking pot with water and you can get boiled meats. You can also get clean water by putting water in the pot, and turning on the stove and it will cook the water clean and you can drink it with no worries. If you are sick, and keep puking up food, try to eat slower, your stomach can’t hold down all that food at once. If your character is sneezing and coughing, use codeine tablets, the help with a cold. If you are just have the sick icon and keep puking when you eat too much, try tetracycline tablets, they fight bacterial infections. Also if you get gear off a body, and you are scared of getting sick off their gear (because they’re sick) you can disinfect it with an alcohol thing (I forget the name) or a disinfectant spray. Starvation and illness kill about as much as bullets and zombies

It used to be a lot easier to find canned food and guns. It seems like the recent update made this game way more harder then it already was idk if it's just me.

The First time I’ve played DayZ I couldn’t find food and I was starving in a House with a Gun of 2 bullets 5 zombies outsides they didn’t go away so I just shot myself in the head

I met up with my brother and like an idiot he ate human meat and got kuru so I had to deal with him laughing for 7 hours until he ended up dying I was sad but also happy as I didn’t need to hear him laugh anymore lol
Love it. How they talk about gutting a chicken early game to survive. When in reality the chances of finding a knife a chicken, making and fuelling a fire. And washing your hands before you get infected and get decent weapon melee weapon to kill zombies in the town to hunt for these items, before you starve are very very low chances. Ps them boats give you fuck all. I'm fed up of wanting to like this game.

Been playing for a while but I actually learned some things what a great refresher to I forgot about some other tricks subscribed man well done video your really good at presenting information!
1:15 those "natural" loot spawns are really not that natural. You should've pointed out that it only works if a player has passed through these trails shortly ago or if you backtrack/wait for about 15 minutes. Just like apples under trees and mushrooms, these only spawn after a player is nearby. I still prefer much more the old way of finding stones by looking at the ground and interacting with it. Was much more functional.
This actually really helped me out. I had some neat gear like a surgical mask, surgical gloves, and paramedic pants and was really liking my outfit and gear and died to starvation. I just went on and found your video and needless to say, very helpful. Thank you very much, I cannot wait to talk to my buddy about this and hope he enjoys the game as much as I am right now
Just gonna throw a small tip in there from an experienced player, he says grab a long stick and use that to cook it well in current patch 1.10+ you have to sharpen the stick to be able to do that. At the very least to make a fire and hunt chickens down as a way to survive coast is a knife, hatchet or axe
It's better to find houses with chimney's and use those do to less smoke and no need for tools at all. Just be prepared for your hands to get cut when cutting down bushes with your hands

So true on community servers there’s loot everywhere I managed to find 3 pistols in like an hour of playing if that... idk if you can boost loot on servers or not
I feel like this game has so much potential, but for a new player playing on Xbox it is so frustrating. Finding your friends is kinda easy but definitely tedious/time consuming and I do feel there’s not enough loot I’ll search countless houses just to find a couple pieces of clothing
Imma be truthful I wish they would add a thing in the game for maps if you have a map and compass it shows on the hand held map where you are to make it a bit easier or with the Isurvial map have a way to connect so it’s easier to find friends and look for things. I know it not ‘real life’ but I feel there should be servers where this is allowed
Roasting pieces of meat on a sharp stick one by one takes forever now and leaves you exposed. I think it's far better to find a house with a fireplace that has roasting and smoking grills. Once all your meat is cooking, you can camp a corner of the house or wait outside and observe.

Finally got decked out with a Silenced M16 & Skorpion ... Now time to scavenge more food and water !

Sounds like you need to play on community / modded servers. Official servers are terrible and like you said, rarely have any loot.

Most main towns with trees will have fruit around the trees by houses just got to look

I never spend any time on the coast. Once I've got a backpack I move inland living off the fruit tree's until I establish myself.
