Sorry, me again, just thinking about the emotionally immature thing. It's so hard to convey to people the difference between that and the normal thing people say where they don't always feel their age. But i think, for me at least, it's actually more literal for me/us because it takes sonmuch longer for us to reach the different stages of development that people get to at certain age ranges, so developmentally we actually ARE still at the stage of say an 8 or 9 yr old in certain very literal and concrete ways, and it's all the more confused by the fact that we may be ahead of others in other areas, such as forninstance having an unusually good grasp of language and so on, which people equate with general (including emotional) intelligence and awareness.
I absolutely relate to what you said about autism being the underlying factor in all the other diagnoses. For me that is SOO true as well. It's frustrating how littlenis known about autism in general, and particularly in females. It can make things so convoluted and compounded when you get 'help' from professionals who have absolutely no clue and push you and themselves miles along a bunch of wrong turns till you don't even know which way is up any more.
(realpy am gonna shut up now...)

This is random but i had this dream last night where you were hiding from someone in this house and i was trying to distract them from finding you. We (you and i) had to communicate purely by facial expression and eye movements, which i think we did pretty damn well at considering we're a couple of autistics!!
Anyway, then at various intervals in the rest of the dream, you kept randomly appearing with a croissant and saying "croissants are the new black"!!?? I can't remember, but i THINK you told me once on here that you watched buffy?? If so, do you remember the cheese man in buffy's dreams? The man with all the cheese slices who said "these will not protect you"? It kind of reminded me of that! I guess you were the croissant man haha.
Right then, well, here endeth my weird comment!!

I'm glad you made this because you explain it all very eloquently. I've never seen this list before but i relate to so much of what you said. Smells drive me IN-SANE(R!) i always wear baggy stuff too. I wish i'd known about the medication one because omg i've had some nasty experiences lately too and i never realised that was a thing!! That last one though. i thought i was the only one to study people to that degree. i always feel like such a phoney because all of me is so deliberately acted and constructed and rehearsed and so on. I feel like is there really anyone actually underneath all that? Plus it drives me nuts when people say oh but you're so good with people. You're so comfortable and it's all so effortless... ARE YOU FRICKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!
I was really enamoured with a couple of books by Peter Vermeulen, especially one where he reframes autism as "context blindness". I think he has a yt video explaining it a little but the book was way more in depth and better. I liked his earlier book too, called Autistic Thinking- This Is The Title. Have you ever read any of them? The context blindness idea resonated so perfectly with my experience.
Anyhoo sorry for another waffle fest. That's definitely one i struggle with - talking either way too little or way too much. But mostly way too much :3 sorry

+Lee Bloom Oh, hey! Good to hear from you. :) How are you? Long time no waffle (referring to myself haha). How's it going? I'm doing Ok. I'm trying voluntarily for the first time toregain some weight i unintentially dropped. It's pretty terrifying, but it really stuck with me what you said about freefalling and reframing it as exciting instead of terrifying, so that's actually helping me a lot. x

Chin up champ. Make a goal and go for it. If you are serious about gaining you will do it, you know that...try to block out the voice of that beast inside and reclaim your life. I'm trying my best to do the same. Sick of having my days ruined by these issues!
Hope life is treating you well and you're feeling positive.
      Please keep in touch xx
