If you guys are still considering the SE or the Series 6, there’s just a few factors to consider. If you are coming from series 1 to 3, then you can consider getting either the SE or 6, if not I highly recommend you to wait for next year’s new watch. Then here comes the real question, the SE or the 6, well, it all depends on if you wanna spend the extra cash on the 6 and if you need those additional features like the blood oxygen and the ECG. If you are buying the Series 6 just because of the AOD then I wouldn’t recommend so.
The reason why I would say the SE is the better choice as of now is because there’s a very high percentage that Apple might release an all new design of the Apple Watch next year. This is because based on previous models, they seem to change the design every 3 series. First design is the series 1-3, the 38mm and 42mm, second is 4-6 which is 40mm and 44mm. And you can also notice that out of these watches, the sensor on the back of the watch only changes 3 times, being the current 6 as the latest. The SE still has the same sensor design as the 5.
In conclusion, if you really need to upgrade, then get the SE, if not, wait for next year’s new Apple Watch. This is so that if you decide to change it again when the new 7 comes out, it wouldn’t be much of a waste and I believe from the SE to 7 will be a great improvement, unlike from the 4 to 5 or 5 to 6.
However, if you are someone without a smart watch, and wanna have the full experience, with the extra cash to spend, and certainly sure that you will use to for at least 3 years despite if there will be any new design next year, then by all means, go for the series 6 now.
but why not get the 6 and sell it next year and buy a new one with that cash and maybe a little loss?

I’m getting the SE. The blood oxygen feature and the ECG reader are not a deal-breaker for me. And neither are medically accurate. So it really serves no purpose. You’re really paying for the colors. An AOD doesn’t bother me either. I’ll take a better battery any day. This will be my first Apple Watch. So I’m definitely excited.
Got the series 6. The SE would be good enough, but the always on screen was something I really wanted. The thing that really pushed me for the series 6 though is the blood oxygen sensor. I have been in and out of hospital these last months, and monitoring blood oxygen is something that literally could save me.
The faster charging is neat also, no idea about U1 usefulness... but it was the Always On display that decided it for me.
Can you atleast change the text a little bit? You can find this paid comment on every new apple watch video..
For better results on the blood oxygen use it on your finger as on your wrist it often says inconclusive or isn’t 100% accurate where as it is when used on your finger tip 💗💗
You should have bought a pulse oximeter instead which is more accurate in reading your blood oxygen levels.
bonedown202 I have that as well. It is just way more practical to have on your wrist at all times. And it is actually surprisingly accurate ,on me at least👍 Either way, it would still be good, because it would show changes, which is the most important thing for myself.

I have been using the cellular SE watch for a week not and I love it. Major improvement from my series 3. Battery life on it so far is great as I mostly use it without my phone.
i was wondering the differences btwn the series 3 and the se! i bought the 3 in july and it does what i need to basically (answer calls, give me notifs) but it’s not always perfect with telling me i get text messages which can be v annoying. do you think the SE is any better at that?
@@marinamaxwell4547 the performance is what’s different. The series 3 did everything for me too but eventually it started to get really slow. When I’m working out or running I like shuffle between my music and iMessage and my SE runs like a champ

@@robbierasberry7964 yeah the watch is still going strong. Just some minor scratches on the aluminum frame cause I use it at work. But the glass screen is legit not a single crack or scratch.

I got the 6 in red with the product red sport loop. The solo loop looks cool in principle, but I don’t Ike the fact that it isn’t adjustable. The sport loop is infinitely adjustable.

@@Flatliner85 ended up going with the 6. I have palpitations at times but it happens so infrequently that by the time i get to the doctors and they do an ekg it’s over. I’ve even worn a halter monitor for 24h but wasn’t feeling it at that time. I wear the watch quite often so maybe it can finally catch if I’m having any sort of dysthymia

I bought the SE yesterday! It perfectly suited my needs... moreover I was not really looking for a blood oxygen meter so yeah not a big deal for me!
just got the series 6,only bought it for the always on display which gives the feeling of both smart watch and normal watch.
How is that feature on the battery life for the day?

One too many differences for me. Absence of just one of these alone is a deal breaker such as blood-oxygen sensor, always on display and lesser network connection technology. One small step/improvement makes a huge difference in day to day life. The only lack-off feature improvement with the SE that one could live with, is the fractionally slower speed processing which just appears to be factions of a second.
Ian going to buy the SE today because although the ecg and oxygen level tests are cool I rather just buy an oximeter for $20 because they are far more accurate. Also, I don’t like the always on display as it just a beacon saying “I have an Apple Watch for you can steal.” I really just want an Apple Watch because I am getting into fitness and for reminders for when shopping for groceries. Thanks for comparison.

I’m thinking to buy the watch 6 in blue 44mm cellular. I definitely wanna try it for the 1st time as I have heard highly about it (except maybe the battery life). I’ll pair it with my old iPhone 7 & use the watch as a standalone device with my main number in it (will switch off the phone probably after pairing the watch once).
Question for you: Will the watch last me at-least 1 day in cellular mode at all times (connected to my AirPods)? I may talk on calls for an hour or 2 & workout for another 1.5 hrs, logging in my workouts via a 3rd party app and listen to music all directly via the watch. Will the battery keep up for atleast a day? Please reply as I’m planning to replace my iPhone with the Apple Watch (I want to simplify my life & I already have a iPad so rest of the things like emails, TH-cam will be done via that.

Hi, I just ordered the series 6. I think in your situation you should be fine. The battery lasts 18 hours and it only takes 1 and half hours to get to 100% charge from zero. If your battery gets low at any point during the day which I doubt, you can just put it on the charger for a little while and still use it, or you can just leave it charging and it will be charged up fast. I would order the series 6 if I were you because for the situation you explained the watch seems perfect for you. Maybe near the end of the day the battery may get low if your using it all day but it’s nothing that a quick charge can’t do!

I like the SE watch but only if it had a SS option,looks way nicer than Al (on the series 0-3 at least imo) but maybe the new colours will make it more appealing to me. I need to upgrade just about everything,phone iPad etc so the SE range is quite appealing. The SE Plus is the one I really want tho,I’ve had years of use out of this 7 Plus,just as I go to bin it an iOS update comes and gives it a new lease of life! All these accessories would fit onto the rumoured SE Plus too...

I agree. I have the Note 9 for almost 2 years and thought about going with the SE as my next phone. I miss the smaller size (I had the iPhone 7 before the Note 9). I thought about having the SE for now until the rumored SE Plus comes out.

Are you using a 40 or 44mm? Can you share your wrist size?
Just want to give you a heads up that you are incorrect about the hardware being the same. The Series 6 has a low power attenuator that the SE does not, allowing it to run the always on display without draining the battery. That is most definitely a hardware difference, not a software. That’s why Series 6 (and 5) can run the always on display and the SE cannot.
What bugs me about Apple Watch is the battery life. How can you use sleep tracking if you have to charge the watch everyday. The most common time to charge the watch is going to be when you sleep.

Honestly people getting it for the ECG and oxygen sensor is one thing I'll never understand since not 1 person needs it ever since if you have an illness that requires them will be done by doctors and doctor onlysince they have equipment that's accurate where as smart watch with it is 100% never accurate

The fact that the SE Model is not available in blue is the biggest turn off for me. It makes no sense to limit that and the ProductRed color to the Series 6. They’re both new models, they should have the same color choices!🤦🏾♂️

I got 6 for myself and se for my son. After 4 months, the microphone on his watch stopped working. We sent it to apple. They said we have to pay 250 dollars for repair. I think it's not worth to buy SE. Not even SE phones..

Other than a slimmer body, faster processing, and bigger brighter display, you’re not getting too much.
It would still be a cool new gadget. You just have to decide if those are perks you want.
Keeping that old of a model is riskier, because it loses trade in value every year that goes by.

The reason I asked for the test was I have the I watch five I have had six falls were an ambulance had to be called the fall detection did not go off for any of them did not even register on the phone as a fall I was unconscious 2 minutes at the shortest time to 13 minutes at the longest time after I was found I want to know if it’s worth buying the I watch six Apple has replaced two watches I don’t have a lot of faith in the third one at this point Has anyone else had an issue with this

Only down side to the SE is the fact it's more prone to scratches on screen due to it not having the crystal sapphire screen only the back has it so will need to have a screen protector on it to keep it pristine so if you do upgrade from it it keeps its re sale price and it only coming in silver gold and space grey and the fact aluminium is a lot stronger than steel and titanium so that's the down side to the series 6 is if you bump the steel or titanium you're going to have either visible dents in the casing or scratches which is a big nope as no one needs the ECG or oxygen sensor because it's never going to be anywhere near accurate and 100% people don't actually need as people that have illnesses requiring them will be done by doctor and doctor only seeing as the equipment they use is accurate and the fact if anythings wrong they can actually diagnose and treat whatever going on
