I have the series 4 stainless. I end my day with 50% battery every night. My battery health is 94% after 2 years so maybe I got lucky with a better than average battery. I payed $749.00 so will wait for a more significant upgrade. The series 6 does look great just not good enough to pull the trigger! Great video on an important topic!
Same. I have the aluminum series 4 and a 92% battery health after 2 years. I usually end the day with more than 50% battery and can easily get through 2 days with my usage. The only thing I wish is that I had the Nike edition. Other than that, I’ll hold off until the 7.
Same here series 4 nike space grey edition. It does not make sense to upgrade unless there is a body change. You can not tell the difference and we are missing 2-3 features that don't matter really.
Agreed, like all people commenting here, I have the series 4 and can easily get 2 days... I guess it would be worth an upgrade to the 6 if it reached 3-4 days with AOD off. I don´t really care much for it because raise to wake just works so well.

All in all, totally loving the Series 6 and having used 3 Apple Watches prior, I can confidently say this is my favorite Apple Watch by a long shot.

All I have to say to those people who don’t think they need cell phone service on their wrist is “try it, you will wonder how you ever did without it”.
Basically it depends on your situation, opinion, money (including quality), financial situation, if you have a watch, and etc. By the time the series 6 is on sale, you’ll never know when the series 7 is out. I bought my first Apple Watch a few weeks ago. I got the red one. It was stunning. I had complete price guilt as I was mainly using it for the fitness tracking so I returned it. I just picked up a series 5 on eBay for half the cost of the 6. Whenever the series 7 come out - if it’s a dramatic difference from the 6 i can upgrade at that point. 🤷🏼♀️
I am seriously impressed this guy ends the day with 10% battery. What do you do on your watch to drain it that much? Are you streaming video to that tiny screen or what? With my Series 5 watch I end the day on about 45% with always on display on. It's crazy to me you can drain it that much!
Cool review, still think this generation is a tiny iteration, Apple needs to step up the game and come up with something that does provide a reasonable battery life, like 4-5 days on a charge at least. Have you tested what battery life is on the series 6 with AOD off?
The biggest difference for me is the battery life. I charge my S5 before I sleep (20%) around 10PM but with S6 I can still use it until 7AM with 30% battery
Just ordered refurbished Apple watch 6 - 44mm, navy blue (my favorite color) for just 369$ only 30$ more than refurbished series 5, I’m upgrading from series 0 so I’m sure, the update is well worth
Agreed with the red band color not matching. If only they made the band a richer darker red. Still love and so happy I decided to go with product red 😍
Regarding point #1 about brightness, this makes total sense that they look almost the same. We perceive brightness on a logarithmic scale, which means the watch would have to be brighter by a factor of 10 for the average person to perceive it as about twice as bright. So apples marketing team isn’t exactly lying, but it’s definitely misleading.
Not worth the upgrade from a series 5 as anything different appears “unnoticeable” or “not a big deal”. Unless the blood oxygen sensor is important to you. I’m happy to hold onto my 5 for another year, so hopefully the series 7 has more worthy improvements! Sure if you have a series 4 or older then the 6 is probably worth the upgrade!

Given I’ve been wearing my watch to bed to monitor my sleep since the original (shameless plug for AutoSleep), it’s nice to not have to worry about ensuring I have sufficient charge each night. Then again, the (limited functionality) built-in sleep capability in the latest WatchOS let’s me know if I need to charge before bed...
I bought my first Apple Watch a few weeks ago. I got the red one. It was stunning. I had complete price guilt as
I was mainly using it for the fitness tracking so I returned it. I just picked up
a series 5 on eBay for half the cost of the 6. Whenever the series 7 come out - if it’s a dramatic difference from the 6 i can upgrade at that point. 🤷🏼♀️
did you upgrade
I got the series 6. Batt life about 1.5 - 2 days depending on use. Also the AOD is fine to me once it dims I can still see it clearly
As always the best review channel for Apple products as I know.
This man has THE best comparisons/reviews on TH-cam and probably online in general 👌👌👌
Series SE Taptic Engine is the same as series 6?
Finally this video is here
Been waiting for it whole week
how long battery last with display always on with series 6?
I have series 4 not upgrading until watchOS support stops
What MM is the gold one on your wrist?
I change my series 3 to 6 today🥳
Do you recommend spending the money to upgrade?
Thanks for the great vid!
Slightly of subject but has anyone had issues on Apple Watch 3 mine keeps rebooting since the latest update 7.1 ?
Does he have the 40mm or 44mm one?
Great video, I’m going to pick up the series 5 on the cheap.
I am seriously impressed this guy ends the day with 10% battery. What do you do on your watch to drain it that much? Are you streaming video to that tiny screen or what? With my Series 5 watch I end the day on about 45% with always on display on. It's crazy to me you can drain it that much!
If you have a series 5, it would be a absolute waste of money (unless need the blood oxygen option). The series 5 is beast!
Cool review, still think this generation is a tiny iteration, Apple needs to step up the game and come up with something that does provide a reasonable battery life, like 4-5 days on a charge at least. Have you tested what battery life is on the series 6 with AOD off?
bigger jump than 4-5 was. battery is so much better on 6. like comparable to 4 with AOD enabled. it’s that good.
not to mention cpu, 5ghz wifi
On my series 3 42mm I end the day with 70% battery life.
😂😂😂😂
Compare SE and Series 5 on the basis of battery life, haptic .... little confused..
I’m getting the new one on my birthday so excited.
i think for the money and soo many similar things im getting the 5!
The biggest difference for me is the battery life. I charge my S5 before I sleep (20%) around 10PM but with S6 I can still use it until 7AM with 30% battery
I went from a series 3 gps version to a series 6 Lte /WiFi one
Just ordered refurbished Apple watch 6 - 44mm, navy blue (my favorite color) for just 369$ only 30$ more than refurbished series 5, I’m upgrading from series 0 so I’m sure, the update is well worth
Living in a time where its hard for someone to move his wrist....
Love from Nigeria 🇳🇬
Agreed with the red band color not matching. If only they made the band a richer darker red. Still love and so happy I decided to go with product red 😍
Where can I get that face on the gold watch ?
Got my series 6 today great upgrade from series 0 👍 best decision so far
I gotta say I do see a difference between this and my old s5. I am pleased I upgraded
Ordered that shirt. Looks amazing. Can't wait to get it.
Thank you for supporting us!
I jumped from series 1 to the 6, what pushed me to the series 6 is the product red case, is looks too beautiful not to have it xP
Yes 👍 another awesome 👏 video Thanks keep the great information coming 😀
Apple did say that 2.5 Times brighter outdoors... note outdoors 😶
Wish it were indoors too lol
I was thinking of upgrading from my series 5 but it’s not worth it. So It’s a no for me this year 😂
Not worth the upgrade from a series 5 as anything different appears “unnoticeable” or “not a big deal”. Unless the blood oxygen sensor is important to you. I’m happy to hold onto my 5 for another year, so hopefully the series 7 has more worthy improvements! Sure if you have a series 4 or older then the 6 is probably worth the upgrade!
I have S5 on watchOS7 and force touch still works tho...
No it doesn’t
Allen Strickland it does for me. I edit watch faces by force touch and I have a game named Wrist Solitaire which uses force touch.
OMG, you act like it burns your soul that you have to elevate your wrist for the watch face to illuminate 100%.
