Same here man. I think we tend to not focus so much on getting girls as a child But more so focus on living life and having fun. Then the girls enter your orbit as a result. old message, but here the answer. The *general* rule of thumb is you contact her once per week to set a definite date. When she pulls back (not if, but when... it always happens), then you do not contact her at all, for any reason, and when she contacts you again, you set a definite date. You never get into a text conversation that drones on for several messages. And rather than texting, calling is better.

I had a situation like you describe, in my past. This girl managed a shoe store; I was an Electronics Engineer. I called her four times. She kept saying that she was "busy", and there was no way she had any time for us to get together. I would say things like, well, you have to eat ... , to no avail. (My phone calls to her were about 1-week apart.) On the fourth (& final) call, I got the same story; however I replied differently. I said to her: (something like) Well, your story about being continually busy is unrealistic; and I thought I would attempt one last call to you. I do not recall what she said; but she was furious about the fact that I said this was my 'last call' to her! I sincerely meant this was my last call, and I never did call again. (This was all before there was anything like (sic)texting, etc.) I never got a call from her, ever. About a year or less later, I met her, at some other store, and we mutually pretended the potential dating ritual between us had never happened -- other than a 'knowing' & shared brief glance, where I got a sort-of smirk from her. That is the best I can recall the situation. Was she just using me to make some other (unidentified) guy jealous? Was this situation salvageable? She said she was "busy" everytime you called, this indicates that her interest level in you is low. Because if she was really interested in you, she would open doors for you. That is a fact. Read it 10 times over if you must. Don't let your ego get in the way of the truth. Then you told her: well, you have to eat..." on the phone, which is not all that bad, but in this case, she was probably like: "DUDE, take a HINT, I AM TOO B-U-S-Y (for you)". Then when you called her again, you basically told her she's a liar by saying: "well, your story about being continually busy is unrealistic". I mean, you're right, most of the time it is unrealistic, but she's saying it because she doesn't want to go out with you, for whatever reason that may be. And even though you called her out on her BS, she used that excuse because it's easier to brush people off that way. As in, she probably didn't want to hurt your feelings. What you should have done is ask her out once, MAYBE TWICE (BUT NOT 4 TIMES), and then leave it at that, don't approach her anymore, and wait to hear from her. You came of as a desperate and annoying, and that's probably why she got angry with you. The fact that she never contacted you again indicates this as well. No matter what you believed at the time, or what you believe now, she simply wasn't/isn't interested, and that happens to the best of us. So if you want my advice (that I learned from Corey), stop chasing my dude. You're asking yourself all these questions like: "was she using me to make someone else jealous", "perhaps this... perhaps that...", etc. Just stop it. There is no point to finding out the answer because she could have had a million different reasons. It could have been your attitude, it could have been your looks, it could have been that she loved someone else, it could have been that she just saw you as a friend, it could have been because she thinks you're a creep, it could have been that she's secretly a lesbian, who knows, who cares. Idk what to do really. This woman played me well. When we first got together she was texting me and having me at her house almost everyday. Sex, cooking for me etc. This has been going on for a couple of months then all of a sudden she pulled away. She had an ex that has cheated on her but she uses his car even tho she has moved to her own place. (RED FLAG) She kept reassuring me she has no connection with him and he is an asshole. old message, but here the answer. The *general* rule of thumb is you contact her once per week to set a definite date. When she pulls back (not if, but when... it always happens), then you do not contact her at all, for any reason, and when she contacts you again, you set a definite date. You never get into a text conversation that drones on for several messages. And rather than texting, calling is better.

I had a situation like you describe, in my past. This girl managed a shoe store; I was an Electronics Engineer. I called her four times. She kept saying that she was "busy", and there was no way she had any time for us to get together. I would say things like, well, you have to eat ... , to no avail. (My phone calls to her were about 1-week apart.) On the fourth (& final) call, I got the same story; however I replied differently. I said to her: (something like) Well, your story about being continually busy is unrealistic; and I thought I would attempt one last call to you. I do not recall what she said; but she was furious about the fact that I said this was my 'last call' to her! I sincerely meant this was my last call, and I never did call again. (This was all before there was anything like (sic)texting, etc.) I never got a call from her, ever. About a year or less later, I met her, at some other store, and we mutually pretended the potential dating ritual between us had never happened -- other than a 'knowing' & shared brief glance, where I got a sort-of smirk from her. That is the best I can recall the situation. Was she just using me to make some other (unidentified) guy jealous? Was this situation salvageable? Perhaps I should have asked about other possible guys in her life? I am in the process of reading your book, but I've not completed it yet. That woman is loooong gone, but I am interested as to why I am (apparently) not tracking with your take on a similar situation. Reply appreciated!

She said she was "busy" everytime you called, this indicates that her interest level in you is low. Because if she was really interested in you, she would open doors for you. That is a fact. Read it 10 times over if you must. Don't let your ego get in the way of the truth.
Then you told her: well, you have to eat..." on the phone, which is not all that bad, but in this case, she was probably like: "DUDE, take a HINT, I AM TOO B-U-S-Y (for you)".
Then when you called her again, you basically told her she's a liar by saying: "well, your story about being continually busy is unrealistic".
I mean, you're right, most of the time it is unrealistic, but she's saying it because she doesn't want to go out with you, for whatever reason that may be.
And even though you called her out on her BS, she used that excuse because it's easier to brush people off that way. As in, she probably didn't want to hurt your feelings.
What you should have done is ask her out once, MAYBE TWICE (BUT NOT 4 TIMES), and then leave it at that, don't approach her anymore, and wait to hear from her.
You came of as a desperate and annoying, and that's probably why she got angry with you. The fact that she never contacted you again indicates this as well. No matter what you believed at the time, or what you believe now, she simply wasn't/isn't interested, and that happens to the best of us.
So if you want my advice (that I learned from Corey), stop chasing my dude. You're asking yourself all these questions like: "was she using me to make someone else jealous", "perhaps this... perhaps that...", etc. Just stop it. There is no point to finding out the answer because she could have had a million different reasons. It could have been your attitude, it could have been your looks, it could have been that she loved someone else, it could have been that she just saw you as a friend, it could have been because she thinks you're a creep, it could have been that she's secretly a lesbian, who knows, who cares. Let this particular woman go (if you are still thinking about her), and maybe in the future she will contact you. If not, her loss (that should be your mindset). Don't contact her yourself.
Just let it be and move on.

Why play a losing game at all?
The first guy sounds more like her sugar daddy...She said straight out he is too old for her so WTF else could it be? She has been losing interest and said from the getgo he is too old and she doesnt want anything with him...If he feels different isnt he chasing a dead end? Idk what to do really. This woman played me well. When we first got together she was texting me and having me at her house almost everyday. Sex, cooking for me etc. This has been going on for a couple of months then all of a sudden she pulled away. She had an ex that has cheated on her but she uses his car even tho she has moved to her own place. (RED FLAG) She kept reassuring me she has no connection with him and he is an asshole. After the 1st or at most 2nd time u tell her "My time is valuable and have a busy schedule if we gonna do this lets pick to a set date and time and if not no worries we dont have to see each other".
