Many good memories of concerts attended. For the then pricey $25 per ticket sum, my wife and I saw the Grateful Dead at Red Rocks on I believe June 12, 1983. Huge hailstorm in Arvada and western suburbs. The remnants of lightning strikes out East was a fitting visual for the last show I attended of that band.
Love these vlogs Tommy. Was a great pleasure getting to meet you in Chandler this year. I’m the “Happy Guy” and will continue that as long as you guys keep performing this awesome music the way only you guys can. ❤️❤️❤️ GTLO!!!!!! Rock On forever.
What ,an amazing beautiful back stage sound check dream maker for ,some kid that looks up to you and the band, vary nice for you to ,give a vlog on your channel on the tube, thanks BigAl California, I just subscribed, and I praise Jesus Christ grace amen
I love your videos. Seen GTLO about 8 times in the northeast. Red Rocks seems to be a favorite venue for the band and fans. I hope to get there some day soon
I'm lucky enough to live a couple of miles from RED Rocks. My first show there was Jimi Hendrix. It's the only place I will go to see a concert these days. The fidelity there is the same in the front to the back. The only difference is the volume level. Arenas are nothing but a disappointment, especially with the price these days.
Enjoyed watching this, I was about your age when those songs came out. Red Rocks missed out on a choice period of rock and roll sadly. There was a riot at a Jethro Tull concert in 1971 and our mayor got a stick up his ass and banned rock concerts there for 5 years. Finally Barry Fey took the city to court and got it overturned in 1976. Anyway you guys sound great, makes me feel good this music will carry on long after I'm gone.
Love the video brother! If you don't me asking, what mic(s) are you using to capture the video? When you sat your phone down over in guitar world to put your IEMs in, your voice continued to be crystal clear and plenty loud w/ no noticeable proximity effect. Thought for sure you might be using a wireless lapel, but couldn't locate it. Anyhow, just curious. Keep up the great content!
It is the CME Ultra and yes it’s just as I got it. I did a full rig rundown in another video going over it in detail. Thanks for checking out my channel!
@@TommyZamp I remember those amps when they came out new in the 70's. My friends band had a sponsor that bought them 1 bass rig and one guitar amp. The bass rigs are killer. I don't know why they aren't seen more often in backline. Always the SVT
Tommy love the videos! Just a small critique of the band's choices. The set list is getting a bit stale in recent months. You guys rarely play Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Since I've Been Loving You, Celebration Day, the Song Remains the Same, In the Light, Dyer Maker, and Trampled Underfoot as much as you should be. Those songs should be given a bit more priority in the rotation. Just a thought. I realize Paul chooses all the songs. Anyways, keep up the amazing work!
Ha well I think there was some telepathy happening here… just had Rock N Roll, Black Dog, Since I’ve been Loving, Trampled and Dyer Maker on the sets the last couple shows.
It takes two of you to cover what he did by himself lol. Nah, i know each of you could probably do it by yourself. But this way you get that full sound like the albums had. You guys do it better than anybody ive ever seen since Zeppelin. Im 52 so ive seen a few bands cover Zeppelins music. You guys are great. In all honesty i like your singers voice better than plants voice. So some songs you guys do better than Zeppelin.
Oh that’s awesome thanks! Sometimes there’s 3 of us. Trying to cover all the parts on the record. Also Sinclair’s voice is def incredible! Thanks for watching
@@TommyZamp ya i wasn't sure if there's actually a third or just some times. Im glad i came across you because i get to see how alot of those parts are played that i haven't gotten exactly right before. I've been able to pick up on alot of stuff from watching you.
Actually there’s quite a few tribute acts that perform at red rocks every year. It’s an incredible venue and if you get a chance you should go see a show there… even a tribute act.
I've always wanted to see Red Rocks , thanks for the backstage tour and sound check Tommy, keeping on Rocking !!!
You got it! Thanks for watching!

Thanks Tommy ;-) Show was better than we could have imagined. First time at RR but definitely not the last!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it 🙏
The Rover doesn’t get the Zeppelin love it deserves. That riff! Cool behind the scenes video. Thanks for posting.
I love that tune!!! The Rover gets in our set regularly. I’ll try and get more video of it and post about it.

It’s an amazing place to see. Hope you can make it there sometime to see it in person.
Thanks for sharing. subscribed
That’s awesome thank you!!!
Cool. Was there this summer to see Mt Joy. Great show. Would have loved to U2 for their legendary performance many years ago.
I saw Sting there last year - absolutely incredible!
Out of all the gigs I’ve played since 1978 Red Rocks is the best.
It’s really unlike any other venue I’ve ever been to.

I was THERE for my THIRD GTLO experience on September 19 \m/
Awesome!
Great job on the videos Tommy
See you in California at MT winery and Napa show. Can’t wait
NJ CREW coming to Cali 😂
Yo Joe! See ya there 🍻
Miss going to shows there, I usually would just stand at the bottom for the shows, it was echoing too much where we usually were seated.
Great place to see a show for sure!
Seen GTLO a week ago. They were incredible !!!
Thank you!!!
@TommyZamp I know Bakersfield was a tough sell on a Sunday.....please come back !!!
Dude that purple Tele !!!!
Sweet Axe ...
Thanks! It plays like a dream too
I haven’t been this early than when I went to Indian Ranch a few weeks ago!
That's quite a sentence.

Well I’m certainly glad they’re having rock shows there! What an amazing venue.
I live 25 minutes from Red Rocks. Too F ing bad I can no longer afford tickets. It is the best concert venue in the world, though.
It really is an amazing venue! Hope you can make it again sometime

For this video I used my iPhone. I compressed the vocal a little in post and leveled it out but that’s it. Thanks for watching 🙏
That purple Telecaster looks like the CME Ultra. Is it stock? I have one too.
It is the CME Ultra and yes it’s just as I got it. I did a full rig rundown in another video going over it in detail. Thanks for checking out my channel!
Ahh,, the trusty acoustic bass amp with no spare? If my brain is working well.
Its a killer bass rig!

Can you spin the camera around faster,I'm still standing!😅

Don’t stand onstage under the flown gear. Just sayin……
Funny enough I know what you mean. Thankfully nothing major but stuff happens
I thought the show was pure shit. The guy playing the kazoo was the only original touch in the whole show.
The kazoo was a last min decision and I’m glad you enjoyed it!
@@TommyZamp loved it the e flat was a little sharp.
How in the hell does a tribute band get booked at red rocks?
Actually there’s quite a few tribute acts that perform at red rocks every year. It’s an incredible venue and if you get a chance you should go see a show there… even a tribute act.
