After watching several of these videos now featuring Luke I am convinced he's a dork but an extremely funny one. I bet living with him is a laugh a minute. Julie, the two of you are perfect for each other.
I just now, in mid-April, saw this, hysterical! One thing, tried turning the volume full up, couldn't hear most of those you visited with, indoors, starting with the "witch", in the refreshment room. Otherwise, a lot of fun!
That was hysterical! I love you both! I especially love Luke's dry wit! He keeps me watching and listening for what he's going to say/do next! I'll bet he had that noise planned! LOL
🎃💃🏻Go Mark!!🎃💃🏻Go Charlotte!! 🎃💃🏻Go Kat!!🎃💃🏻Go Emma!!🎃💃🏻 Go Poppy!!🎃💃🏻Go Amy!!🎃💃🏻Go Steve!!🎃💃🏻 YUO ALL DESERVE A PRIZE. You have done an amazing job. Greetings from 🇺🇸 USA. 🥰
You guys knocked this week's episode out the park! Loved the graveyard scene. Luke seriously had me laughing with his screams! Absolutely delightful and such a joy to watch! Great job all around. Thank you for the continued laughs!
I always put apple cider and dry ice together for the kids... .served with a plastic spider ring The dry ice it causes the cider to become sparkling and I call it Apple spider
When watching these videos with the 2 of you, I always have a good chuckle! Luke loves to tease you! I bet it's lots of fun for Halloween with the gardens all setup for the holiday. There were some great carved pumpkins. Thanks for the scary tour of the gardens at night!
Julie, I loved you on Ladies of London, but this is definitely your niche. You’ve obviously brought such joy into Luke’s life. Ask EVP Voices to come out to check for ghosts; she and her team are excellent. Best wishes to you both from the Middle of Nowhere, Nevada.
Truly Majority of Americans celebrate the traditions of Halloween by dressing in various costumes some scary while some costumes are of popular movies/tv shows. There are haunted houses and shows telling tales of witches and ghosts. Pumpkins are carved into glowering jack-o'-lanterns. Children parade from house to house, knocking on doors and calling out "Trick or treat!" hoping to have their bags filled with candy
I had no idea that Halloween wasn't always a huge thing over there! I live in Maine and it's big here as it is all over 5ge UnitedStates. I'll admit, I'm a bit obsessed with Halloween! My eight year old son knows I go all out!! But I love that it's darker over there and more macabre! Love it! I'll admit I'm a bit jealous! You two are living my absolute dream! Thank you for giving me a peek into the beauty and history of your stunning estate!
I’m French Canadian and we celebrate Halloween 🎃 and I’m much older then you both .Now my husband is from England 🏴 and they celebrated Guy Fawkes . And now everyone celebrates Halloween. Thank you for another wonderful video.
Absolute bullshit...... folk need educating on peoples cultures. Dunno how my gran is 85 and did guising, my nanna did guising and she would be in her 100s. That because Halloween predates England obviously your, husband knows his country's history 🤔 Halloween predates the Bible and goes all the way back to the Pagans. Englad was Wales at 1 point, up until maybe the anglo saxons(that maybe wrong) Halloween was actually known as samhuinn in the aincent celtic kingdoms. When the gaelic, Cailleach marked the beginning off winter This dates back thousands off years. It was an aincent celtic gaelic tradition. Passed down through the generations He didn't here off it as His country outlawed it, his country did not allow old ways or gaelic traditions you became British and Christian or u die simple. A) its called guising B) England when the formed the union they outlawed anything Celtic gaelic Scottish Welsh Or Irish making it against the law. So traditionally any other country celebrating Halloween have effectively made a monkey out off our heritage and culture basically this is culture appropriation. Even more scary is the lack off education on the the actual meaning behind Halloween 🎃 An America and Canada claim they invented the whole thing.
I've watched every video now over this last week!!! I'm in love with every character and their own quirks. Only 1 complaint and its probably do e on purpose...in the introduction you say "in the state of Dorset" When...obviously Dorset is a county With love from the lake district Xx
I love the Tudor and Great Chamber rooms! Lovely poster beds 😍! I grew up in Gettysburg and had a ghost in our house but I only heard a few things now and then. Also, when I was working in town, I heard women talking outside and I thought my co-workers were on their break but when I looked out, no one was there!!!!! I love the pumpkin carvings of everyone! Great job! Great episode ❤️! Julie, I don't like going out after dark, either! I don't blame you! You both are hilarious 😆! Thank you for sharing!!!!!
Or u guys can go old school aAincent British Celtic traditions as this here on this land and soil is the place it all begun. Without the celts the Irish Welsh or scotts.... there would be no Halloween
Think it was John Morgan who was letting you know he heard you talking about him!? I am afraid of pith dark too. My grandparents owned a whole road in the country and their parents lived up the hill from them and uncle and aunt across the rod etc. So on weekends I went to visit and lived in a village with my parents and we had street lights at night that were on., One night grandma for some reason had to go across the road after dark * rare* and she took me. I could not see one thing! I said, " Grandma I cannot see anything how can I do this?" She said " Just one foot in front of another and you are just fine" Well we walked a little more and i sort of knew where I might be but was not sure, and then I moved my arm and realized I could not even see my "hand" I was very afraid! But grandma told me to just "keep walking you will be fine" I know a hill was coming up soon and thought, I may fall but she had taken me to the lower end, so it was not bad. She was right I was okay except I never forgot not seeing "my hand in front of my face!" Scary!" You would think you lost your hand! Can you imagine how a ghost feels?? They are only spirits and all at once they do not see anything with their body and all of a sudden they do not know how they are getting around? John Morgan may not be bad just he does maybe get angered easily and did not believe perhaps even in God and of true that is a problem and he is afraid to go anyplace for fear of going to hell now? He can be moved on though most likely if convinced he could be safe if he would only repent. Heis holding on to the words spoken and his anger. You are both really great together and enjoy this so much, Thank you! To think you truly have titles is very exciting, really! My husband had his ancestry done and he is a direct line with his mom to the Queen of England and family. It came out perfectly showing Princess Diana as a distant cousin and Kate Middleton as well. But Duke William and Harry would be related as well of course only directly. It is very interesting really to know this and he has presidents of the U.S, who were related too as well as the fact I have Presidents too, but different ones than he, and so we both are related to them. It makes no difference whatsoever, as one would never know now. We live in the U.S. and all it takes is like one to move away and you are done forever. Danny is also related to *forgot the Queen hi King Henry's first wife" from Aquitaine, and another one too. But they did marry in around the world to royals. My husband found only back to King Henry the 2nd and 3rd on down. He ( my husband) related through the Plantagenet and Tudor lines. Can you imagine us staying in the Tudor room? lol The grey lady may just love the home and does not want to go? If she is kind, there is no need to leave. Thank you both so much for the interesting made vlogs. You are so real and honest and this is so important.
Scared of a hat? I remember hearing how scary Doctor Who used to be like. As for spirits, one way they happen is due to some tragedy in the place. And it isn't just humans that have passed on. But in several cases, beloved pets as well.
That was great I love Halloween and carving pumpkins 🎃. I used pumpkin carving saws and wood working tools to carve my pumpkins and some patterns and some I do free hand. Every year I carve a Day of the Dead pumpkin for my horse who passed 7 years ago. This year’s pumpkin I did skin carve and cut out spider web forelock and snip with him holding a rose with his teeth. Wish I could show the picture it’s one of the best I’ve done lol. I also carved headless horseman on the horse in a full moon, cat in a full moon and a bunch of ghosts. Four pumpkins but about two times bigger than the ones you all caved and you guys need pumpkin scrapers lol. I missed the live hand out candy to trick or treaters and it was our 37th anniversary, I was dressed up handing out candy Hubby watching Football 🏈 lol. Later this week we’ll go to Hell Michigan and have lunch and nice color drive on way to lake house. 🇺🇸👻🎃
You guys need that 12- foot skeleton from The Home Depot that was so popular last yr in the US lol you guys have such a beautiful, spacious property that for once the size wouldn’t look out of place
Incredibly delightful. Halloween was originally in the Church Hallo's Eve, the day before All Saints Day on Nov 1st & All Souls Day on Nov 2nd to scare away the evil spirits. Thus the costumes were evil. 👻😱👽☠️👹👺BOO
Hi, I'm the one who asked you if you have ghosts, last summer. Considering the age of your house, it has to be haunted. If so many generations have been born & died there, some have to have been left behind. My grandparents build my house 100 years ago this month. I have plenty of relatives who still come out on certain dates & holidays. This was their home. They want to be here for the holidays. Dad always makes himself known at New Years. Spirits are there to protect you. They have your back. Our house has had several fires. They combust & put themselves out. How is that possible?? One was the gas house heater & the other was our gas water heater. Multiple sockets have burned as well. We're never hurt or harmed. They've got it. Since you have so many pumpkins, think about making pumpkin muffin for your cafe. I always cooked our pumpkins & used every last bit. You also might want to have a scavenger hunt for kids who come by. Send them off to find the graveyard, they put a sticker on their list, etc. Just a thought. My grandkids loved it at parks & mazes they've visited.
Hi Shirley, We had a children's trail all of last week or them to complete! We also used all of the pumpkin innards in pumpkin soup and pumpkin pies. We don't have any ghosts we currently know of but perhaps we will find out more in the future.
Julie and Luke, You and the Mapperton team did a fantastic job all around. What a great immersive experience, in the perfect location ...Martha Stewart has nothing on you guys! Happy Halloween - 🎃 🦇👻 ⚰️ ☠️ 🎃

Btw did you ever figure out what was in the cemetery? I heard it too! 🥰ps. I wish my menopause arse self was in good enough shape to come to a retreat! Julie, your husband is right. I'm an American and I'm a bit older than you. When I was a kid, Halloween in the U.S. was supposed to be SCARY. Now, you can dress as Donald Trump, Bernie Madoff or whatever you want.
I'm not a fan of Halloween. Why do we celebrate dark scary stuff? However, I do like watching a middle aged couple decorating together that in itself is entertaining.
Because it’s fun to feel spooky in a safe way... night is fun... dressing up is fun... candy is fun... exploring your neighborhood with cool decorations is fun... costume parties are fun.... pumpkin carving is fun.... pumpkin patches... hayrides.. corn mazes... what the fuck do you mean lol
@@Sailormoonsuperfan94 it's just the dark side part. I get parties. I get costumes (not creepy ones). I get carving a pumpkin (but not to celebrate dark things). I never liked horror shows and I don't want to be afraid. So, it's fun for people, but I don't get it. No need to swear about it. But people like that too 🥴
It would be OK if it was a natural festival. But now the pubs are decorated with 'scary' plastic stuff and sprayed on spiders webs etc. weeks before Halloween. It's just a load of landfill junk.
I absolutely adore the two of you together 💕 you are both informative and hilarious 😂 your chemistry is wonderful to observe.
Oh, Luke, the whole point of dressing up is to confuse the evil spirits that come out on Halloween. So, any costume works!
These two are so entertaining together! I also love that you can tell that they have a real, genuine relationship and have fun off camera.
After watching several of these videos now featuring Luke I am convinced he's a dork but an extremely funny one. I bet living with him is a laugh a minute. Julie, the two of you are perfect for each other.
Sanitising myself from that ghost as Julie would say ......oh the pair of you are hilarious.
Luke and Julie you make a great Team.
This was so freaky!!! I’m so proud of Julie for going out there. I could never do that!

Luke and Julie you guys are the cutest 💗
In the winter in New England, it gets dark at the same time. Do I go outside to be cold? No way!
I can tell this is going to be a great video!!! Fantastic lawn mower scene!!! Love from Vermont
You two are so hilarious together🤣
I would be terrified knowing someone is buried that close to the house😬👻
Hahaha, Don't worry Julie. I'm sure that noise you hear out in the yard was just a harmless cow. Lol.

Ah! Yes. There is a little difference in Halloween France; in one region they carve frightening faces in beet instead of pumpkin.
Subscribed to both your channels!
Brilliant thank you!
There has to be ghosts there due to the age of the place, I seriously don't have any doubts about it. 👻
How cool to be on ITV!

Perfectly scary -pitch dark ;)

Samhain (pronounced saw-ween) is the ancient pagan festival that predates Christianity and Hallow’s Eve and All Saints day.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM BRAZIL. LOVELY GHOSTS.
Random question: where are the bodies of all the other relatives from Mapperton? Are they buried somewhere else? Bodies donated to medicine?
Need some cushions by the windows for someone who wants to sit there and read or something.
“Okay, great, Luke, great.”
Happy Halloween to you both as well!!!

Omg Julie I’m dying laughing! I actually spit my drink out! You just have to love men, right?
