I really like the new colors. Arrma is killing it. I prefer larger scale but the 3s vehicles are perfect size to just keep one in the truck at all times for random bash sessions. They're tough as nails and if they do break they're cheap to fix. Redcat, Arrma, and Rlaarlo are doing work!
I have the previous 3s vorteks since it came out and I love it, it’s super fast and some upgrades made it perfect, I like the improvements they made with this new version but they give you a less powerful 2 in 1 esc and no DX3 radio so it’s about the same lol
Great video as always! I loved your take on where this fits in the ARRMA line relative to Typhon, Senton, and Granite. Thank you. Loved the Vorteks V3 video a few years back on prep to get the car ready for use. Did any of that seem relevant for V4?
I think that the Traxxas exects better skip that year end trip to Aspen and get in front of a drawing board and get some pricing advice. If not they are going to fade away
When you guys chuckle and giggle during the run, we know you are enjoying the car! Arrma is killing it. They could have alleviated some complaints from enthusiasts by making the new 2-in-1 esc DSMR compatible, but I guess they have done the research that this will be mostly an entry-level car. The thing #arrma should be attentive to is that while their research may show the 3s line is still entry level, the people reviewing it, and the people commenting on those reviews are enthusiasts, and those comments can affect even a beginner's buying decisions. At least it seems that an upgrade is not necessary - based on reviews thus far. Performance looks to be great!
Would be fine with the 2-in-1 receiver if it was at least DSMR compatible too, at least with the lower kv motors 3s is a lot more usable than it used to be, only downside is having get more expensive 3s packs vs 2s packs that I can use for both bash and club racing. All in all good to see Arrma at least only making current platforms better with each release.
@ I get what some other comments day about how most guys won’t upgrade their radios, but most of my SLT radios have developed an inconsistent throttle neutral after 7ish months of use
i love it that they are integrating the higher side rails/fenders in their new models. Arrma body clips suck so glad they got rid of that as well. They used to have an option to use an external receiver in the 2 in one shame its not an option anymore...
I still have the blue/white V2 Granite which must be fixed to drive again. It does not move when I push the throttle and I'm no technician. So I am between fixing the old one with the better remote control than the new one - or to buy the Brand new Granite. OMG decisions decisions! What do you think?
I'm still scrooge on clipless. My Xmaxx ruined clipless for me. If it keeps the body on I'm fine with clipless i suppose but i prefer body pins that keep everything in place until i remove it. I like the Gorgon type. Really easy to use, work great but nothing sticking up through the body.
@@joshnoi1804is that sad? More customers mean more new vehicles for us all. Most of us that would program esc's also swap out perfectly programmable stock electronics to put new ones in anyways. 10bl120's are cheap and would power this great. After buying that and a receiver for your favorite radio (like we do on all our rigs) this is still cheaper than the VXL Jato.
Yea 85% sounds about right 👍 So really that New 223 esc is perfect for most rc guys. I got the new esc for my Arrma Mojave Grom and so far I like it. Now I wanna get it for my Vorteks when they come out for sale.
so let me get this straight from what i see no more putting a 6s in there wont fit , as the blx 4x4 did , havent switch the steering so rocks will bulge in and you wont be able to steer again, swap bars is nice i see they added rock guards not bad but rocks will find a way, wonder if they have metal diff out of the box , i heard the wheels grind on the body i hate that , that does the round of things i saw , wonder if it still pulls to the right when you floor it
@NicholasLoan It's pricey now. And not indestructible, lol Arms break, motor mount bends, spur gear don't last long, bodyshell weak. Mt10 was great at £250 but you may aswell by a Vorteks at £330.
Arrma or horizon hobby at least did you guys give us the option to upgrade the Sway Bars????????? Come on horizon hobby.... At least give us the option because when you put the 3S line on the track it roll off we need traction that's why we asking you this does the new 223s have the option to upgrade to Sway Bars???

thanks, I'm glad that helped out
Arrma is really showing out.
Riight??? Glad the 3S line got a much-needed refresh, it's been 4 years!

DSMR would have been great, that's what I miss most.

Difference between 2s and 3s pack is like 5$
Loving the new colours on these .... Looking forward to the new granite and seeing that in action ... Good video man 🔥

Those have always been cool… and they keep getting better and better…in my opinion
Take notes TRXXS...cept the 2n1 esc 😅
Nice centerdiff and price, with good old capabilities. I'm curious to see the Granite, my all time favorit Basher it's a absolute no brainer...
Maybe in 6 days we see big rock and granite 223s...
Man! A Granite with c.dif and longer arms !🎉
Yes I

Any info on the Arrma picture released yesterday? A 6 2 8s rig coming next week? I hope it's a huge Typhon 8s exb.
Waiting to see the V4 Big Rock!! I'm sure its coming and you will review it when it does😀
They going to bring out the big rock in this lineup?
Clipless is perfect. Welcome to the future.
I have to admit I'm liking clipless bodies now

Clipless would be awesome except for the maxx haha body pops off everytime I jump it but I think arrma has it down
I was worried the Pink and Purple didn't make it onto the clipless bodies. My wife's car might just get an upgrade.
Well look , now i have 3 new rigs to add to my list .
I just ordered the Typhon, pretty excited about it.
How do you like this compared to the last version? I sold mine and now I’m missing it
Which one should I get Vorteks or the Typhon?😩
More handling, Typhon. More bashing, Vorteks.
99% of buyers will never buy a custom radio or program their esc, so this should be more then enough.
around 85% please. 99% is not true.
That’s also the problem with this approach. Does Arrma want to weed out the true enthusiasts by forcing all new models to follow in these footsteps?
Sadly, they target new customers. That way, new ppl get in to the hobby and turn into enthusiasts and buy more Arrma cars and parts.

does this1 still has the sloppy servosaver?

how much you guys in the us can get it including the tax and shipping ? here in my country its around 550usd :(
Is it not possible to use your own receiver with this esc?
no
Best little rc
This and the Senton has just killed the MT10 and SC10 Pro 4.
Impossible. The Mt10 is indestructible
@NicholasLoan It's pricey now. And not indestructible, lol

For the most part £340 not bad to be fair
No center bearing 😮
only the longer chassis cars (Senton, etc.) have it.
the short ones never had one! Only Long Chassis like Senton/BigRock....

Is the 2in1 not compatible with DSMR?
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs nope, it’s SLT only
@RazorRC that's a bummer.
