I mean, to be fair, this wasn't the Jato vs. the Synchro. It was an upgraded Jato vs a stock Synchro, and the traxxas still looked like a tired old mule.
@@mikescherrer4923depends on the conversation. Are we comparing purpose built race buggies to basher buggies on a race track? That's kinda like saying that race buggy is crap because it won't pull double backflips like my Outcast will. I get the feeling of pride from building a kit but that's not fun to a lot of folks. I doubt many serious racers are gonna buy either of these buggies to race with. Kinda makes that original conversation irrelevant.
The Jato is proof that Traxxass knows they don't even have to try and their loyal fans will still buy stuff. That goofy snap on car sealed that for me but this is the nail in the coffin. That parts supply stuff is irrelevant to many of us who will order parts regardless. My closest one will shill so hard for Traxxass you'd think you was in a MSM video. I'll never go back to them.
Yeah we all knew the Syncro would whoop that Traxxa$$. Just watching you run the two the Corally was way more planted, landed smoother, and glided out of the landings so much better.... The jato was bouncing all over the place and was not smooth out of the landings, Night and day.... And that's you putting about $170 into the Jato🤣 The Corally Syncro platform might be one of the best value in RC right now, dare I say better than the Arrma 3s/4s buggies?
Everyone always thinks that lighter is better and it usually is from a durability standpoint. But certain vehicles and locations actually benefit from more weight quite a bit. The weightier vehicles feel much more planted and stable, whereas the lighter vehicles get tossed around and look spaztic. And flying through the air, heavier vehicles don't get affected as much.
Yep. There was some clown with a video swearing the Traxxass was better because it was lighter and the entire video it was bucking and bouncing all over the place. Coincidentally he sells Traxxass so he does have a monthly quota to meet. Lying is the Traxxass way. Look at those box speeds for proof.
Your driving skills are very impressive! And those locations are amazing! Places like that don't exist by us. I like a little weight in a car, they seem to perform better - at least until I crash!
I absolutely love Team Corrally Racing! I have the Asuga 6s XLR, and it's an absolute beast 💪🤙😎 I will definitely be adding more Team Corrally Racing to my collection in the near future. I really want the Kagama 6s for my next purchase, but I love them all 😁 I'm all about Team Corrally Racing and Arrma 🤙😎
One is a 1/8 buggy, one is a 20 year old short course truck with buggy wheels... big surprise, the plastic junk is plastic junk. I guess we won't be seeing Trashsuxx on the podium at any ROAR championships... 😂
The Jato should definitely come with an Arrma power system. Traxxas are the laughing stock IMO. Arrmas new 3s releases will bury the Jato for all but hard core Traxxas fanboys. And those people won't be putting any BLX electronics in there's.
How did this version of the even Jato make it into production? Did Traxxas not perform any type of deficiency review during the development stage? This product should be immediately discontinued and Traxxas should be embarrased.
I agree with your evaluation. But Traxxas is just too pricey for a basher buggy. I am sure its fun and tough once you get a power system in it. They BL-2 is better than brushed for some vehicles. It took our my Arrma brushed buggy once but now it sets waiting for 3s system.
Ok all this being said… would love to get your opinion on what you would prefer in a 3s track basher…. Buggy platform or a SCT. Looking at Typhon 3s vs the new Senton 223s. I’m a Traxxas fan boy but the pricing just keeps them out of the running for me nowadays.
@ yeah good point. I also planned on making an XR8 4100 kv powered BackSlash for the same purpose. But these RTR’s that are coming out really have me intrigued. Even the 2wd Fury. 🤔
Its lazy what they did with the shocks on the JATO. The front/rear are identical length? Instead of taking time to create proper lengths. The rear doesn't have enough travel imo.
@TheflyingkiwiRC I bought a new 6s Typhon couple years ago on ebay that was sold by horizon Hobby for 400.00. Still would not trade for this for vxl verson. There will be people that will and thats cool. Just not for me.
Are these Jato actually selling? Who's buying this junko. Ill be so pissed if i was a kid and got this for Christmas. The VXL might have a fighting chance but thats months away from now.
Be interesting to see how both of them do in a speed and bash session against the new 223 Typhon thats only $329.99!!!!
I mean, to be fair, this wasn't the Jato vs. the Synchro. It was an upgraded Jato vs a stock Synchro, and the traxxas still looked like a tired old mule.
Let's add an EB48 2.2 with real electronics to the comparison. "What RTR junk is better" isn't even a relevant conversation.

Traxxas Jato is years too late. It is completely out classed at this point.

Traxxas makes the best RCs hands down. Only poor people disagree

I too agree
I find a heavier car easier to drive. I prefer it.

You are a great driver👍. How many years have you driven Razor?
What a track. Rutted and rocky, but my bashers would be right at home😅
Now you made a $529 00 Jato or that is what they expected to sell the 3s Jato for. 😅
Awesome comparison 👍👍

not very shocking results tbh😂!
No contest really, by the time you do those upgrades to the Jato. You have a close to $500 Jato, still not as good as the Syncro.
HoBao Hyper VS cheaper and better than both IMHO
@@HeeHawDonkey-w9f I like my VS2, but the Hobao VSE is $530…
jato is a joke
Especially considering Razor put an Arrma power system in it to help wake it up. 😂😂😂
