My wallet can't keep up with all the new releases 😢 But keep em coming guys, I love it the rc competition is heating up so much it's catching on fire 🔥
I really want to buy this but have too many arrma 3s/4s vehicles right now... once the typhon 4s with center diff and clipless body is released I may not be able to resist 😅!
Not a fan of the 2 in 1 esc. That's OK on cheaper brushed cars i guess. But even the cheap China competition brands (mjx, hbx, and so on) seem to be getting away from the 2in1 esc.
Personally i like it. I love the colors. The best part is this means that the 6s line has absolutely gotta be the next group to get upgrades and changes. I'm not counting the new gray electronics from the Bigrock and Kraton exb that made their way into the whole 6s line up. I believe the Arrma 6s line is the very best group of rigs in RC in performance and value. With the Bigrock being so new and on sale it makes me hope they're clearing stock for new inventory soon. Every 6s model has been discounted massively this year except the Kraton exb. I really hope we get a black friday deal equal to the $399 Fireteam deal a few years back.
A couple other channels that showed their performance bits seemed to have trouble with the jumps (how the car nosedives in the air particularly) and the Senton seemed like it did alot, but your footage does it some justice. That durability shocked me!
Senton always lands front first. Not enough power and small wheels! The new Center Diff brings the motor even a bit more to the front and 80a esc reduces the power a tiny bit= so it could be the case, that it is a bit front heavy/front landing sometimes.
Santa maria cant drive. Guy goes full throttle and never let go of it so he has 0 air control. Or he guns it secs before the jump giving him again 0 air control
Oh you know I'll be getting one of these ASAP.! I've got two Sentons, a Big Rock, a Mojave 4s, a 1/8 Infraction, a Gorgon & a Limitless GT conversion... I only have one Traxxas, a 2wd Slash Raptor... Hmmmm... Maybe I'm one of those Arrma Fan Bois.? 😉 😉
Yeah, I tried to like the new v4 Senton, simply can't😂 I have no issues with the slipper and actually like this design (3-4) as it's more direct power delivery. Don't care about clipless😂 I own the v3 recently and just love everything about it, rock solid. Also with just driveshafts and metal diffs -4s is capable no problem. Also own the Vorteks 4x4 brushless now on 150a 4s❤ Went out and bought the Senton v3 and the Vorteks 4x4 since it's also discontinued😢 So now future me will have brand new in the box trucks.
I think all the oopgrades are definitely worth the small bump in price but no matter how well it works new I just dont see a 2 in 1 being good in the long run. I hope I am wrong though. Great video!
I just bought one of these, first one came and out of the box the ESC goes into LVC mode randomly. Fully charged battery, reset the ESC, good to go, for a few more minutes. I’ve tried 4 different batteries. I sent it back, got a new one, it’s doing the same thing. Any thoughts? What are the odds of 2 bad ESC’s on brand new cars? Does this car require special batteries? I’ve tried 2s, 3s Hoovo and Zee batteries.
Ok, thanks for that. I am new to this. We raced today, 7 cars, 1 old Senton, my Senton, and 5 SC10. Everyone is using those same batteries, but no issue. I can try better batteries, but that would be disappointing if the new car won’t work off the same batteries that all the other cars run on just fine.
@ it looks like the new Senton chows through batteries faster than the old Senton, and the RC10. It consumes them about 30-40% faster. It doesn’t accelerate faster or have higher top speed, so I don’t know why it does. Seems like a flaw by Arrma to me.
many many people use their own "good" transmitter like Noble NB4 or DDF350. With a 2in1 ESC its not possible or not cool to use your own transmitter. And 80a ist ok, but for power-user its not enough.
That 100 kv bigger fan different style capacitors all for heat reduction, they probably dropped a tooth on the pinion gear ⚙️ as well . They should just make a cowl on the body , the 4s outcast I drilled holes windshield by the motor bigger fan just gets warm now n it helps clutch/center diff mostly
I dont think the 2 in 1 was a good idea. I think it makes the car look cheap. As others have said on smaller cars, it's ok. But on a 1/10th scale vehicle? Idk id rather they have gone the traxxas route and just raised the price a bit to compensate, so we were still able to get hobby grade electronics. Its a deal breaker for me personally. Money isn't an issue and id rather pay more to get the entire package then pay the same and have features removed. Might go buy a v3 senton and put the metal diffs in it as well as the high-end slipper. I hope they recognize there mistake and make a regular line of 3s that are more expensive but come with normal stuff.
You can upgrade your Senton! Center Diff (from arrma) are 3 part numbers 100dollar. 25tooth servo saver for aftermarket servo (15-25euro). Metall Pivotballs 5euro(china) to 25euro (arrma). And if you want a gyro like the new one, get a DDF350 and sell your SLT3 with reciever....
The good thing Arrma never says now have Heavy Duty parts like Traxxas did and are still the same old lady with new lingerie. Literally, Arrma plastic is HD even better than Traxxas. I have Traxxas and Arrma I think Arrma is becoming much better value. A I have Granite BLX with the original esc and motor and is still kicking
I do not like the two.In one electronic speed control but I would be a liar, if I said I wasn't excited to get my hands on the new version of this truck
I think a lot of the hate for the 2 in 1 is due to the fact it went from 100 amp to 80 amp. If they'd made it a 120 amp 2 in 1 i bet folks would be more accepting. The lower power makes it feel like a real downgrade.
80 or 100a does not really matter. But if you want to use your own/good transmitter you have to change the esc sucks. Stock Transmitter and with the Gyro is ok. And with Punch on Maximum you should get enough power for a Short Course Truck.
@@runnerbaba one video i saw said you also lose the ability to change esc settings. I'm not bothered by the 2 in 1 personally. I'm a Dumbo kinda guy if I change receivers. I don't even change receivers if it's not necessary. I bash and most factory radios are more than adequate to hit a ramp with. I do think there is a noticeable difference in 80 to 100 amp. I have both sizes of Spektrum and have used both in my Gorgon. The 80 had considerably more cogging and you could tell the 100a provided more power. It made backflips much easier. I do think the 80 is adequate and without experiencing both most folks wouldn't know any better. A lot of folks do get hung up on numbers tho and 100 is definitely a bigger number.
@@boduke9428 WOW. I looked it up. Its true. ESC Settings are gone! Wow. But ok, they were not usefull anyway. You could not change BEC to 7,4 Volt or Lipo-Cut Off to Medium. But Punch etc. is gone.
I love that Arrma is always innovating but it comes at the cost of parts and cars always being discontinued and obsolete. Not sure how much is interchangeable yet the shock towers, body, and chassis will be parts you can’t swap into the existing platforms it seems. Traxxas not changing the platforms much for most vehicles is cool in the sense that parts from years and years ago still work on the cars today. Which is also a great place for aftermarket to step in. Consistency is nice though both brands are great in different ways.
That 2 in 1 esc kills the value if u want to move away from it. Either 100-200$ esc and separate receiver and transmitter. If you have a receiver then its 100$ for the esc. Would have been great if they innovated the esc with those new capacitors with a separate receiver.but instead the innovation become a throw out item. Pointless and wasteful
ARRMA drops another winner!! thanks for the in depth review!!

Dang, that 2-1 esc is a dealbreaker for me.
Will try to find a Senton V3
Then you be missing out on a centre diff.
Could always upgrade to hobbywing combo later later lol Could even fit a 3665 motor.

AR310884 Comp Center Slider Driveshaft 4x4 775 BLX - Center Driveshaft is not beefed up. its the same. Metal Pivot Ball is a nice upgrade.
Booting the radio while doing full brake and right doesn’t put it in programming mode? To setup EPA
I’m all for the v4 Arrma 3s cars when are the other ones being released ?😂
Id like to see a comparison between the new senton and the mojave 4s... trying to decide between the two and nobody has done it yet.
this might be my first short course 1/10!
How does it compare to the Mojave 4S? I'm trying to decide which one to get.
I hope those body clips don't get sticky, you know Earl Moorhead will do a 5 part series on it if they do.! 😉 😉
ESC hat no more settings?! They use the On/OFF Switch for the Gyro-Settings instead of the SLT3 third Channel Switch whitch is not used....man man.

@ acabo de recibir nuevas baterías 3s y dura muchísimo más que en 2s, pienso que el motor o variador no es eficiente en 2s y en 3s si 30min 6400mha
