    If one would break a tube, by a rock strike or something else. is the bike then done, or can you refit a new tube? other carbon bikes can be repaired, but is this different? can the bonding process be undone, and refitted with a new tube?

    What are the geometry numbers? I'm 186cm with an inseam of 90cm and longer arms, looking at XL with 490mm reach. What is the difference between low and tall frame options? When will I be able to buy the Trail 150? Will you ship to Russia? Looking forward to answers but I'm not holding my hopes up that you actually answer.

    Consdering the amount of R&D you invested into the titanium/carbon custom stuff, it is suprising there was not more time invested into the proper seat tube design. I.e. simple straight tube which allows seat post to go deeper... Otherwise, nice bike!

      Its a very old technique, look/time was doing it 30 years ago. They fail eventually.
      The aluminum and carbon and adhesive expand and contract at different rates. They will never outlast a strictly carbon or metal frame

    • @tiagomontenegro5932
      @tiagomontenegro5932 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@janeblogs324 yep, 30 years ago look/time were using a Renishaw RenAM 500Q to 3D print titanium lugs with double wall, they were also using the exact same adhesive the Atherton's bikes use, as well as the same carbon fibres, resin and process to make the tubes. But all comes down to just one thing, aluminum and carbon and adhesive expands and contracts at different rates and engineering will never be able to overcome that! Poor Gee, if he only asked you before he started his enterprise! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Do you run a custom shock tune to match the suspension curve? What kind of finishing do you do post additive manufacturing on the Ti parts? How many bearings on the frame - some of the pivots and pivot hardware looks quite small?

    Question... If you do see that damage has been done, can it be repaired? Can the Ti lugs be reused? What if you extended that double overlap for strength and stiffness and used an adhesive that can be reheated and taken back apart? On that abuse tip. May I recommend a sub brand called Affey Bikes that uses the same reusable technology to make hard tail dirt jump and BMX frames.

    • @janeblogs324

      The problem is the lug is 10x stiffer than the carbon. It create a massive stress riser.

From his view to a potential buyer , why IS it better? I'm sure its amazing, but he isn't putting that forward. Is the rear suspension curve linear or progressive? Can i change lengths here and there? roughly what sizes are there. Why do you spec a complete build as you do? how long do they take to make? use these opportunities to get your brand going. Not what you like as a rider. You need a salesperson to talk it up. Not talk about the components he likes i can get from anywhere. Love you Gee, but your a business developer now, not just a rider

      I'd imagine adding lugs into that type of tube would compromise its strength. Easiest thing would be to have a clamp around design, although that would obscure the branding! I think there's enough of us that just run a back pack with no bottles that it wasn't worth adding anything as a standard option

    Does he have something in his mouth? Is he chewing gum? Or it is just his mouthor/and jaw that makes it look that way. Anyway what ever it is; for me it made the whole thing un professional, and tbh made me loose confidence in the bike... Weird but that's the feel I had.
