As a Seahawks fan, I can definitively say no. Everyone here was up in arms when he got traded, but I wanted it to happen the year prior when the rumors first surfaced. Carroll got the most out of him. He was the product of a a system and elite defense. Two years in Denver have proven that.

Lol, Russ will get cut and sign for the league minimum at a little over a million a year.. he could easily be starter for a few teams while the Broncos pay him his guaranteed 37+ million next year. Pete Carroll shows favoritism towards Russ and gives him all those perks, but it's Wilson's fault?
All those Seahawks players that threw shade on him after he was traded ever complained to Carroll or management when Russ was still around? Did they went to him and told him what they thought? Bunch of rumors and innuendo! It's so easy to talk after the guy is no longer there! The Broncos were a dumpster fire before Russ got there: 2016(9-7), 2017(5-11), 2018(6-10), 2019(7-9), 2020(5-11), 2021(7-10), 2022(5-12), 2023(8-9). Yeah, blame it all on Russ, it's so easy! If you want to blame someone for Russ being overhyped, point the finger at Carroll and the Seahawks! They traded him when the things they did for him became unbearable! Now Carroll is no longer the Head Coach and the Geno Smith experiment is not working! Two 9-8 seasons with 1 WC loss! 🤟🏻💀

Why would fans and sports analysts expect a veteran Super Bowl experienced starting QB to do a great job with a non-protecting offensive line, dropping the ball non-catching wide receivers with no running backs, a low performing defense and overall losing team?
One thing about RussWilson, which people intentionally overlook, because they are just plain jealous of Russ'overall success in life, is that Russ still has a good throwing arm and stands now among the top 10 QBs in the NFL. He can throw a football like a bullet and hit his targeted receiver 99% of the time to put points on the board that win games!
I am sure MBA owner, Penner reminded Peyton, manager, and Coach Payton of this fact! I am also sure Penner reminded them that in business, you don't expect to re-build a team in one year nor expect to break even in a re-built NFL franchise business in less than three years to become profitable.
In the case of the Broncos with the present managing, operations staff and another possible HC leaving, it is most likely not turn a profit until 7-10 years: that is if they stay free of major business errors, a hire talented players with a good work ethic, and a reputable talented new era HC which don't come cheap!"
"You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people."
Sean Payton will likely be gone in 2024 for his same type of pre-suspension and unprofessional behavior exhibited by him with the Saints in New Orleans .
Sean's ego and greed for power will not allow him to win games by adhering to the high standards of integrity and dignity of the NFL that other NFL franhises maintain '
He always chooses to coach with a dark cloud hanging over his head that the Bronco fans are so willing to overlook! I wonder why? Russ has to much light to make him the scapegoat. The truth always comes out quickly in the light of this high-tech world we live in.
It is obvious to the seeing eye that Sean Payton convinced Peyton to threaten to bench Russ if he didn't adjust his contract! They wanted to steal Russ' $37 million and hire a cheap QB to replace Russ. This is "ignorance gone to seed."
What experienced starting QB that has spent nine years playing with no protection for the Seahawks would choose to come to the Broncos offering no protection by the offensive line be foolish enough not to include an insurance against injury clause in his contract?
Moreover, why would he be so foolish and unwise to adjust his contact to give up $ 37 million or change the date on his contract to adjust it?
Russ Wilson is tough and unafraid of man or the devil . He is also a successful businessman man who has a competent high priced agent who knows how to negotiate a NFL franchise contract to serve Russ' best interest. You do not attain success and longevity in sports entertainment as Russ has by being a fool!
So- why would any intelligent person think Russ would agree to jeopardise his own NFL career to help a $5.1 billion NFL franchise save $37million that they are going to use to hire a quarterback to replace him? This is wicked thinking pure and simple!
This is just what Sean Payton motivated by egotism and greed for power convinced Peyton to do against Russ Wilson who helped Sean to get the job as HC at the Broncos in the first place! So, you can see why Sean spent 30 min.talking to Russ in their meeting.
Both Peyton and Sean Payton 🎉may be gone in 2024!
The Broncos NFL franchise, owners Walton, Penner, Condoleezza Rice, Meloddy Lucas, and Sir Lewis Hamilton of the UK and the NFL can not be associated with this kind of scandal. They know Russ didn't lie because he had witnesses seated with Peyton at the meeting when he threatened to bench Russ ifvhe didn't adjust his contract! The NFL just waited to see if Russ would get benched before taking the case farther. Russ got benched twice! All kinds of lawyers are contacting Russ to get this case!
There are strict contract laws governing pressure being placed on clients and promises not kept by a client who does not comply with the terms in a ccourt enforceable contract! This is a big problem for the Broncos and the NFL! It is all going to blow up after the Super Bowl if Russ is forced to leave the Broncos before his contract expires in 2027!"

Russ is better than some of the quarterbacks playing right now. He might do well in Atlanta. He's not elite. He can't see the middle of the field, and he can't deliver in a timing offense. He's going to cost Denver a lot of money regardless of what they do, so the Broncos have the leverage. They should hold onto him and play chicken. If Russ wants to play, he's going to have to modify his contract so that he can be traded. He costs Denver less money against the cap if he's on the roster, vs released. If they release him, he's still owed the guaranteed money and can sign at the league minimum with another team. If they hold onto him, he's getting paid but counts less against the cap, and he'll have to suffer the humiliation of collecting checks on the bench. Mr. Unlimited's ego won't be able to deal with that and the Broncos might get some cap relief.

This isn't something new. Even dating back to his college days, Mike Gannon was given the start over Wilson and he had to transfer to Wisconsin to get a starting job. This is the third team now that has passed on him in favor of the backup quarterback. Hard to blame Sean Payton for all of that

you must be kidding yourself if you think that, Russell is an exceptionally talented quarterback. Seattle needed a change of scenery not cause he's bad or that geno is better but the camp of yes men the he keeps around him kept asking for more and more money. Sean Payton disliked russ from the start, he wanted to make the team in an image ideal to him and thats why they're moving on, saying that the reason hes had to move is due to lack of performance or the backup is better is wildly absurd.

@chickengod9184 not to get heated but thats a dumb comment one or two bad seasons doesnt make him bad and honestly for most of the season he was the only thing going for denver, thats not to say that he isnt flawed ik that for sure watching him almost throw away everygame in Seattle my main problem is how un nuanced your taking his career. He has some of the best stats the nfl has seen and has been a pilar in revolutionizing the game. Like micheal vick or randall cunningham.

    • @chickengod9184
      @chickengod9184 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@Harry.-. he was a terrific mobile quarterback his first six seasons in the league. After that he put on weight, was not nearly as quick and mobile and became gun shy about taking hits. That's why Seattle was looking to get rid of him several years ago. A lot of his numbers have come late in games during garbage time, when the defense is playing prevent. As far as what he did for Denver last season, outside of throwing a bunch of Swing passes and checkdowns, he didn't really do a whole lot. Add to that that he has an extremely divisive personality and that's pretty hard to disagree with. Quarterback is the one position in all of sports for personality actually counts for a lot

    • @Harry.-.
      @Harry.-. 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

@chickengod9184 again i think your grossly over exadurating his weaknesses, not to mention your original coment said that teams were passing up on him like he was shit. Russell imo could definitely win another super bowl if he just lowered his wage and focused on optimizing the team like how tom brady was able to in new england. Seattle definetly over valued him and that came to the detriment of the team leading to stars like those of the legion of boom to find new homes as they werent being valued on top of other things. However saying that russel is only good in one or two circumstances is ridiculous and a vast over exaduration he has been elite for many years. And while i do belive seattle could have been better off without him early. That in no way has any merit to his overall quality at qb. And yes.i agree hes become less mobile that doesnt mean he cant still throw some of the most amazing rainbow passes in the league. Im glad he got the bag and i dont like sean payton he seems like a dick, not just from russel perspective but also when he was in new orleans. @@BossAJS not to mention he stole from cancer kids. Pathetic. I miss the humble kid he once was.

He should give that BACK. It was reported but not many people know this. This is my biggest issue with him.

He then took a sh1t on the Seattle fans “i wanna go to a city that actually wants to win”
He threw his O line under the bus ON LIVE TV when in REALITY he got sacked because he HOLDS ON TO THE BALL LONGER THAN ANY OTHER QB IN THE LEAGUE. Why is this? It’s because he CANT SEE WIDE OPEN RECEIVERS IN THE SLOT. He can’t climb a clean pocket look at that last game Denver’s o linemen wouldn’t even help wilson up anymore they were done he scrambled backwards when a wide open pocket lay ahead of him. 🫠
NONE OF HIS TEAMMATES LIKED HIM… ANYWHERE…
Russell got super prideful and acted like he was manning or brees…
Russell is the fakest guy, he got reeeal bad after he met CIARA and tries to act gangster in his selfie videos and that’s called a poser, so another form of lying…
He only got the chance to throw a touchdown in the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP vs Green Bay because our legendary defense was able to get in the ball back yet again, and somehow he managed to not throw another interception. A UDFA WR Kearse made a jump ball catch that could have been picked off easily And then the year before it was a defensive player that sent Seattle to the Super Bowl…
Without everything surrounding Russ, he would have been watered down baker or Flacco at best.
He wanted to “cook”… so Pete tried it but he was throwing picks left and right so they went back to calling plays PROTECTING RUSS FROM HIMSELF. So he goes to Denver. Look what happened. HE got totally exposed.
Im appreciative for the humble rookie version of Russ… those days were great watching a role model. Since then he really has become something else. I’d be willing to forgive if he apologized to Pete and to the people who donated to the cancer kids which he essentially stole from.

His ego is first ballot but his play is not. Living in Seattle and watching him for years, you can easily see the transformation from team to him. It's always been about his personal stats over the team. Taking sacks over throwing the ball away. The Super Bowl loss was a perfect example. Every other team in the NFL with Lynch in the backfield would have run the ball, no brainer, but Wilson wanted the game winning TD pass and the MVP. It's also evident in the attempts to gain fan support with the insincere comments. The entire "Let's Ride" stuff was an entire joke, but I'm sure he's got a patent on it and was compensated.

I agree with the guy that says the Broncos will keep him but not play him so that he can't go to thevraiders!

I believe your missing something. Denver was already a dumpster fire before Russel got there. I'm not saying he was totally innocent but it's still a dumpster fire even after he is traded or cut. He will then go to a more stable franchise and play well. Not lights out, just well.

Russell* and they have the correct pieces for a Pro Bowl qb to come in and make a huge impact

It wasn't a dumpster fire. We were on the rise but Paton gave up valuable picks that wouldn't solidified our line on both sides of the ball and we got a guy who doesn't have it anymore for it. Drew Lock showed significant improvement since his 2020 season and he only really needed a better OC than Pat Shurmur. Hackett didn't know how to incorporate Wilson into his offense and Russ for some reason got fat af and that slowed the offense down a lot.

      HE GOT EXPOSED.
Because Russell isn’t capable of winning a Super Bowl unless he’s on a rookie contract because HES NOT ELITE.
His numbers this year are due to 1) THE DEFENSIVE TURNOVER DIFFERENTIAL IN THAT 5 GAME STRETCH and 2) Sean Payton only letting him throw mostly screen passes in the backfield because when he threw it down the field last year LOOK WHAT HAPPENED. MfEr looked BLIND!!!.

He's top 20 in passing yards, passing TDs, he may crack top 10 in this, passing completions and he's top 10 in passer rating.
He's won a super bowl. Been to two.
He's a hall of famer. No matter what happened in Denver. Maybe first ballot.

How many people were saying at the beginning of the season that Russell Wilson was better than Dak? Millions were! But once again Dak and those boys continue to prove everyone wrong! Dak>Wilson by far it’s not even close

After the way Russ has been treated, there’s no reason to do Denver any favors.
A guy who walks into a Mercedes Benz dealership and buys a car he can’t afford, ruining his credit, and then not only allows his underage son to drive the car but use it for off-road driving, CANT GET MAD AT THE CAR!
Thats what Broncos fans are doing. The organization wasn’t in position to trade away that draft capital for Russ because the existing roster had holes.
On top of it, both coaches, one of whom was grossly unqualified for the job, misused Russ.
But Broncos fans and media want to be mad at Russ, as if the Broncos had been a winning franchise before he arrived.
I wouldn’t do anything for that organization. I’d make them cut me and go to another team and win a Super Bowl.
He needs to get out of Denver as soon as he can. And someone will buy Russ’s home. That person doesn’t have to be a Colorado resident.

Been searching up players like him because of the news, the before and after, and the deal he has with the sheer coincidence being that you upload this hours ago.
