The IONIQ 5 N TA Spec, driven by Hyundai World Rally driver Dani Sordo, finished the race in 09:30.852, winning the exhibition class and placing third overall in the 102nd running of Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as The Race to the Clouds, is an annual automobile hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. The track measures 12.42 miles and has over 156 turns, climbing 4,720 ft. from the start at Mile 7 on Pikes Peak Highway, to the finish at 14,115 ft.

If only Hyundai would release all their N cars in Gran Turismo 7. I own a Kona N, and will buy a Ioniq 6 N when it's released here in the states.
I think that's difficult. This is because the company that makes Gran Trismo is a subsidiary of Sony, and Sony is a Japanese company. And Japan has a strong sense of keeping in check the Korean companies it abused in the past as a colony. For comparison, it would be easy to imagine how the United States would feel if Mexico, whose land the United States had stolen and abused, grew into a national power equal to that of the United States. I don't think it would be easy to play the role of promoting a Korean company's product in a game made by such a Japanese company.

Look at how much more focus on the road he is and not worrying about what gear he is in. And the car just goes! Both hands are always on the wheel giving him much more control. The perfect environment to set a new record.

도로가 안좋은건지 시종일관 차가 튀는데도 차를 끝까지 믿고 밀어붙이네~ 대단하단 말밖에..
저기 실제 갔다 왔는데 30km정도로 다녀야 해여 지금은 두 차선 다 써서 넓어 보이지만 한 차선만 쓰면 바로 옆이 낭떨어지라
그리고 도로 상태 개판입니다 그래서 빨리 못 달림;;;
높은곳의 아스팔트는 데미지가 많습니다. 온도 격차가 심해서 그렇죠. 땅속에 얼음이 생겼다 녹았다 하니까 아스팔트가 들림.
와 다른 사람이 운전하는 것 보면서 이렇게 무섭다는 생각이 드는 건 처음인 듯 ㅎㄷㄷ 이런 코스를 이 속도로 달리는 게 말이 됨 ?? 진짜 개무섭네 ㅎㄷㄷ

As far as I know this vehicle changed a little from stock ioniq 5n.
But result is quite huge.
What makes this difference?
aero, weight reduction and permanent extra 80 hp (40 if u factor the temporary ngboost)
The 2 stage inverter makes miracles.
TA spec has the new suspension setting , tires, and software boost that gives extra hp. The battery and electric motor are the same as stock 5n’s.
Battery management redesigned in every I5N set the stage for Hyundai to open up 40 more ponies over stock knowing they wouldn’t have thermal issues for this race. Other than that and race imposed regulations with some added graphics she was off the manufacturing line for power delivery and cooling. They did get modified brake pads and rotors and this TA modified version had aero to keep it planted with downforce observed over that rough road surface. Sordo however was not the average driver and cashed the check the Hyundai team wrote for all it was worth.🎯🚗💨
it has 40more hp and proper motorsport coilover suspension
but more importantly it has a huge front wing which enables them to run a huge rear wing, so this thing makes a lot more grip via downforce at high speeds. he's just able to hold much more speed mid corner without worrying about losing the car.
that and sordo is an absolute tarmac specialist weapon out there, he was +20s faster than randy pobst in the same car

As far as i know people who say hyundae negatively are those who never change engine oil almost forever. Let be honest. I do not think american cars are more realiable, practical and most importantly available under any circumstances in anysense.
When I connect to CarPlay or Bluetooth, the sound only goes to the driver’s seat. Who knows the solution? Help me with Azera 2024.

아무리 오르막이라지만 저 속도로 밟아데는 레이서나 그걸 버티는 자동차나 대단하네
근데 저 구간은 내리막하기에는 힘들듯.너무 위험해서 내리막 이벤트 있으면 사람들 줄줄이 죽어나갈듯
