    It is now 5:16 on April 1st 2024 this is the step of the work that I am now up to and this is the best by far video on this ritual I have a came across I had several questions that you answered and don't need to ask now I love the visuals and production of this video and love it when you do longer videos thank you for your help

    • @POTB
      @POTB  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks, man. The longer videos are awesome. The issue is that they take much longer to make, and the algorithm doesn't like that. They are also not so healthy for my workflow, as Premiere Pro (I am a Premiere user) is still not optimized (fully) for Apple silicon. So yeah. Long videos are great as far as the algorithm will make use of the content and quality, delivering it to those who'll actually appreciate it. Unless that's not the case, I wouldn't recommend them to fellow creators. BTW, I have some new, longer ones. I think the longest is on how I got it into Magick due to struggling with severe panic disorder: th-cam.com/video/2_RVP5BgHQg/w-d-xo.html

      Hey! Thank you so much for this comment. I truly appreciate it. I really did my very best with this video. I wanted to get people to stop neglecting this rite, as it made such an enormous difference in my practice. People focus LBRP (with the winds model) and that's it. They start obsessing about it. I think many practitioners can benefit from expanding their practice, and SIRP has plenty to offer despite the path you follow. Some people say it's same as GIRP, but my empirical results say different.

      @@POTB IKR? One HAS to verify everything for oneself. One way or another. Everything works but nothing works forever. This is good reference material to navigate a maze of different 'versions' and opinions which sometimes only serve to confuse the issue. As Joe Friday used to say on the old show 'Dragnet', 'Just the facts, ma'am'...

    • @POTB
      @POTB  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jstanton7070 I agree! While overcomplicating things is not a good idea, I do believe one should search if there are ways to actually improve the techniques so they have a greater impact on one’s psyche.
      As long as you have all the components and stages of a technique, tweaking things accordingly might be beneficial. But that comes after you really make the performance of the technique as natural as breathing.
      Plus, if we talk about the directions and SIRP, that can mainly happen with the 4 elements variation. Everything else remains almost identical.
      I hope that makes sense, and thanks for commenting!

    Hey Pete,
    Joseph here. I saw an Icon in one of your videos. I'm Orthodox as well. I'm curious as to what led you to Magick. Magick led me to you. Personally i woke up one day and saw how much Orthodoxy was hiding. Thanks for all your content it's awesome. I've been doing OMAD over a month now. I'm used to Orthodox fasting so I'm changing my diet, prayers and rituals, and working out. Without you I'd be making all kinds of mistakes. Thanks brother!
    Joseph

    • @POTB
      @POTB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate,
      I hope you are well.
      The icon you saw it's not mine. It was left by my mom, as she is Orthodox. The video you saw is likely very old and poorly produced. I should unlist those old videos, as their quality is embarrassing.
      Christianity stopped making sense/give me what I sought at around 23-24. I am not opposing it or anything. I respect those who do it for the right reasons and not as a mask or pretending (Sunday Christian syndrome). It's just not for me.
      As far as OMAD, I never used it in such a manner.
      Although I don't consider myself a religious person, I mostly find meaning/make sense of the ideas and concepts of Thelema, which though some Thelemites would deny has commonalities with Christianity (see Marco Visconti's Aleister Crowley Manual). Also, research how Crowley came up with the Gnostic Mass
      The more I progress on my journey, the more I also recognize what Setians defines as 'the principle of isolate intelligence' as the main force that kept me alive and saved me from a lot of trouble, getting and letting me stay on the path of self-improvement. I also find a lot of meaning and answers in the wisdom of New Thought scholars, as it often goes hand in hand with the mentioned.
      On the contrary, I don't define 'rituals as old aeon technology.' If something gives me results, I use it. I also bless the spirits accordingly when giving a license to depart after OBW.
      I hope that makes sense.

      I'm glad you like the video. I really consider it to be my best, especially magick-wise. I tried to gather and analyze as much information as possible without making the video too long, which was kind of inevitable. Nonetheless, the video communicates what I wanted it to communicate precisely how I wanted it to do so.
      As long as for your recommendations, I'd be more than happy to do such videos, but all the motion graphics of the symbols take (plenty of) time to render. So I'm very careful what kind of videos I'm starting from now on, considering the amounts of views and revenue I get for the quality I deliver compared to others in the same genre. I hope you understand what I'm saying.

    This is a great video. I like the fact that it is so detailed but doesn't tell you exactly how to do it. The only drawback is that I cant exactly start a daily practice without consulting my own books and deciding what is needed-- though this is likely a good thing. I would hate to exclude or close any elemental direction for long... though clearly some banishing and closing is needed in my case because just giving ritual offerings to elementals has resulted in so much chaos that I have developed too much resentment towards paganism. Even the kind, fun natured spirits will just consume things like hippos and not offer anything of value. In the worst cases, my mind gets stunted and I lose memory and mental energy... and I refuse to be just another greedy consumer without intelligent desires. I will have to watch this video several times but this type of hard work is (hopefully) more rewarding than pagan orgies and dum dum parties that revolve endlessly in my new (unconsecrated) space.

      Now, we are talking. IMHO, this rite can give you so much in terms of personal development. It also has enormous invigorating effects, especially if you are new to it. Plus, it opens your sphere of being for the planetary influence much better, than just say an operant or invoking field. As far as for directions, yes definitely switch things, especially as a solo practitioner, you really don't want to open yourself to an egregor but to your own self. It's still one of my favourite and daily rites although I am currently trying to find out if Crowley's Reguli won't produce better impact on the psyche of a person like me. I hope that makes sense. And good luck.

      According to the Cicero’s Golden Dawn Magick you can use either or, which they call GRP. In Thelemic books, you do only Hebrew, at least in the beginning. Based on personal experience, adding the Enochian makes the ritual so unique. To me it is the most underrated technique in Western Magick, with profound alchemical effects. Don’t obsess over the pronunciation too much. Just do your best.

  • @jfreeman2927

    isn't OBW and SIRP rituals useful in completely separate ways? the attraction of learning OBW is that the astral landscape opens up in group ritual. I read about Moina and Samuel Mathers doing this in early group ritual with Yeats. there is a book named "Women of the Golden Dawn" by Mary Greer that describes it.... they were using a form of tablet. i doubt this is a Regardie thing..... but, hey-- i will try SIRP and see if it works. perhaps using this inside a cast circle will be better for a solo practitioner.

    • @POTB
      @POTB  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      OBW is largely based on SIRP. In fact, there are modifications between both. If you want you can use SIRP 4 Elements instead of OBW. OBW can’t be specific, whereas, SIRP can be general. Hence SIRP 4 Elements. I hope that makes sense.

    Hope all is well Pete! This being the most recent vid posted I figured I would ask here. I loved your review and insight on modern magick. I was curious if you would consider the same sort of review on Kabbalah, Magic, and the Great Work of Self-transformation: A Complete Course by LTC? I’m very curious your thoughts on his insistence no other magick be practiced while doing his curriculum. Given that it can take years following his book to complete the grades, seems a bit excessive.

    • @POTB
      @POTB  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Keith,
      I'm happy to hear from you! I always recognize your longer and mindful comments.
      I would consider reviewing Kabbalah, Magic, and the Great Work of Self-transformation: A Complete Course by LTC. It is a great introductory book, and I certainly enjoyed some of its wisdom gems regarding GD Enochian. However, I have the book on Kindle. So if I do such a review, there likely won't be that much smooth Broll like in the Modern Magick review. Or maybe, I can pull that off by filming my actual laptop or phone with the Kindle open. I'll think about it.
      Now, that you said. I wonder what I should do sooner a segment on the fields of operation or review that one. Meanwhile, I'm working on a review of a very special book by a very special author whom I believe didn't get enough recognition, although he published people like RAW, LMD, Timothy Leary, Regardie, and even Crowley (I think). So I hope my delivery and filming will be on point for that one.
      As long as for not doing any other magick while going through the elemental grades... The basic idea behind that is to bring each and every element into a perfectly 'sterile'/'isolated' environment. On the contrary, Regardie believed that you can reach 5=6 by merely hitting his OBW 1-2 times per day for a year or so. That brings all 4 very actively into your sphere of sensation, like SIRP.
      When creating A.A., Crowley rearranged this whole part of the degrees. He also brought the hexagram formula right from the neophyte.
      The practice of isolating the student from other magick is not used only by GD groups and scholars. In his 'Uncle Setnakt's Essential Guide to the LHP,' Don Webb utilizes an identical approach in his Grand Initiation protocol which aims to unite also you with your Daemonic Self/HGA.
      Traditionally, it's believed that you should become 'enlightened' before doing any real practical work. I like Scott Stenwick's comment on that as a modern person.
      It's something along the lines of: It's far better to use Magick to help yourself improve your life first; by doing so, you have a much greater chance to become enlightened in the future (whatever that means). A struggling person never gets ahead.
      I hope this provides some insights, and I wonder what your thoughts are on the elemental grades.
      Regards,
      POTB

      I certainly plan to make a video on the different fields of operation. I think this subject gets overlooked, even more than SIRP. Now I have a review of a book by a very special author, in the pipeline. And when I publish it I'll likely start working on 'fields' post.

      Friend, what does OBW stand for?

  • @hemagicmp2773

    What is the meaning of 4=7, 2=7, 3=8 and 1= 10? I assume it has something to do with the tree of life, but 4=7 would be Chesed = Netzach and the path between? 2=9 Chokmah = Yesod and the path between, seems to me this ought be reversed. 3=8 and and 1=10 seem to makes sense using this model.

    • @hemagicmp2773
      @hemagicmp2773 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wait I think I got it! if you from bottom up then top down. You arrive at the same sephirot! So 4=7 would be Netzach. 2=9 Yesod, 3=8 hod, and 1=10 malkuth. Is this correct?

    • @POTB

      Yes, the grade represents one’s level of development and a Sephirah climbing the tree bottom to top, following the ‘flash of light.’ Hence the way/path of return. I hope that helps. Thanks for commenting

    I believe in the idea of that escorpio is actually an air element and aquarius is a water element. And this is is the way that element naturally manifest on the Zodiac:
    First earth elements then fire elements, air elements and finally water elements. This how the human grow from animalistic to a conscious human being. Just like the tarot card # 21

    let me see if i'm understanding you correctly-- all of the elements have active and passive spirit modalities? or are air and fire operating spirit active *only* and water and earth operating spirit passive only? this is a big question in my world.

    • @POTB
      @POTB  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Passive elements go with passive Spirit hexagrams. Active - with active. To me is also interesting using ‘EHNB’ instead of ‘EHEIEH’ and ‘AGLAH.’ Maybe that’s something to try out.

    • @jfreeman2927
      @jfreeman2927 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@POTB so "El" is a passive spirit only? then the Enochian phrase "mph-arsl-gaiol" should translate into "she who is the first true creator, the horned one." after all, "Gaia" is commonly how we all refer to the feminine archetype of so-called mother earth.
      i'm sorry to press this small issue, but it is a very important distinction for the elementals where I live. we need balance and if thelema is based on sex practice-- one needs both genders unless you enjoy fapping and think a baby can be made that way.
      edit-- one small point is a fetus and the spin of the zygote when the sex of the baby is formed. female genitals turn inward, male genitals turn outward. also, in both ancient and modern astrology, Scorpio and Taurus are female signs. the ancient Greeks related heat/dry to males and cold/wet to females... the pillars of the tree of life= form/female and force/male...
      this would also involve the gender of "Adonai". have you contacted your "HGA"?? magicians such as Aaron Leitch report that their HGA is the opposite gender from themself. Aaron contacted a feminine angel after the Abramelin ritual was performed. this has also been convincingly reported by the OTA as 3 angels-- one male, one female and one androgyne-- so some people have 3 HGAs, apparently. do females have 3 and males have one?
      if you are claiming all of spirit is male-- i don't see how that is any different than traditional monotheism/christianity and we are clearly working with many different spirits with different ideas about gender.
      edit 2-- maybe we can just translate the enochian differently. so "El" or "mph-arsl-gaiol" would translate to "the One who is the first true creator, the horned one." as long as it in understood that spirit contains both/all genders, always... and cannot be divided into a single gender in any use case.

      @@jfreeman2927 I am with you on most of what you say. Please never mistake me a viewing Sprit as male. And about fapping, I made one of the very first NoFap videos.
      The only thing that actually annoys me about the Tree is that way too many sephiroth are ascribed to some version of a 'bearded king.' I also like that some scholars want to change Malkuth to Queendom., which apparently makes more sense.
      What I offered you is just a suggestion you. You can also use it for the 5=6 MP. I hope that makes sense. And thanks for the comment.

      @@POTB I find this use of "EHNB" very interesting in practice. do you know any translation for it? for example, we know EHEIEH roughly translates to "I am" or "I am what I am." I imagine that EHNB would be something more like "we are" but I can't find anything through google.

    Hey man, curious if you could shed some light on something... what is the difference between something like the SIRP and the Middle Pillar exercise? They seem to both be about internalizing the elemental forces, or substantiating the 5 elements within the practitioner. Is the difference only one of intensity, like the MP is a less intense version of the SIRP? Or do i have my understanding of these completely mixed up. Thanks!

    • @POTB
      @POTB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there,
      And thanks for commenting.
      SIRP and MP are basically nothing alike.
      MP
      MP is more of a meditative exercise, aiming to calm and center your mind, strengthening your body of light. It's primarily used as a preliminary invocation after setting your space with LRP and LRH. MP can also be used to ease your mind into a meditative state and improve anxiety (a lot).
      SIRP
      Like OBW, SIRP (4 Elements) has a balancing effect, but that's due to an influx of the 4 Elements. Based on my research, this is how the original GD started all its operations. IMHO, SIRP's effects are not calming but quite invigorating and can be 'in the face,' depending on what I have before it. SIRP's primary purpose is attuning the space to a specific force so you can do practical work. Based on personal experience, and like OBW, SIRP can directly 'make you see' and 'point your attention to' things in your life/being you never considered or didn't know were there.
      It can also challenge your notions and programming, creating an environment to 'undo yourself,' which one of my subs recognized as he summoned an Undine and traveled through spirit vision using SIRP Water. I'd say it brings a lot of clarity, and elemental energy, which you can use for many things. To me SIRP remains one of the most practical and underrated rites.
      Now Back to MP
      Traditionally you use a vortex to charge an object after setting and attuning your space. On the contrary, some modern scholars replace that with MP in the appropriate color as it's a lot less hassle. Other than curing anxiety, which it does gradually, this is the most practical application I know of MP, but different people do things differently.
      I hope that helps!
