Tonga has the most experienced squad. All primed now for the occasion. Since 2017 rlwc they've had to deal with Board issues hence performances, and different names/logos.
Now a new Board is set in Tonga, stability now exists which gives Coaches/Management, Players freedom to do their task to the best of their ability.
rlwc 2022, England tour all disasters because of those issues. Now all is aligned and Tonga is set to shake up international footy again.
The Tongan horsepack is well groomed as that all have played for Tonga except Paseka (Manly). Tui Lolohea and Isaiya Katoa will have a field day playing behind a pack like this running a muck.
Tolutau Koula (Manly), Daniel Tupou (Roosters), Paul Alamoti (Panthers), Moses Suli (St George), Sione Katoa (Sharks) - backline. Pace and Power.
Tui Lolohea (Huddersfield), Isaiya Katoa (Dolphins)
    Addin Fonua-Blake (c) (Warriors) Dally M prop.
    Siliva Havili (Rabbits)
Jason Taumalolo (c) 2016 Dally M Medal winner, Dally M lock 3 times.
Eliesa Katoa (Storm) Dally M 2nd rower.
    Haumole Olakau'atu (Manly)
    Keaon Koloamatangi (Rabbits)
    Soni Luke (Panthers)
    Taniela Paseka (Manly)
    Felise Kaufusi (Dolphins)
    Sitili Tupouniua (Roosters)
    18th Lehi Hopoate (Manly)
    Siua Wong (Roosters)
    Kulikefu Finefeiuaki (Cowboys)
    Isaiah Iongi (Panthers)

I still don't rate Woolf as a coach and his selections have been poor recently. I definitely would've put Koula at FB and Hopoate on the wing in place of either Tupou or Katoa and would've had Zelezniak on the other wing spot. Siliva Havili is not a hooker and honestly shouldnt have been picked, Jason Taumalolo is past it, Koloamatangi should be the #13 to add an extra ball playing option instead of relying on one-out football and i'd put Kaufusi in to lock up the middle of the field with his defence. Tui Lolohea is way past it and in the 3 test series against England did absolutely nothing, Latu Fainu should've been picked at #6 to partner Katoa as the future halves pairing for MMT going forward. Sitili Tupouniua is error prone and misses too many tackles, i would've put in Samuela Fainu as he's young and has had a solid year for the tigers despite them coming last. We have a good team, not a great team and our poor selections will show at crucial points in games like they did against England last year.

Australia has a lot of fullback in the lineup. Hama, Tom Tommy Turbo and Dylan Edwards the selected first choice fullback. If there's injury there they will have no problems.

I certainly agree with most of your in sight, great video to but here are import 2 factors of my own opinion about the aussies - 1st I don't believe this aussie new blood will have enough time of knowing players parts and roles connection to make it work too short of a time frame. They will only control the points by line breaks and backing their runner and possible ball handing errors as an on and off Tonga issue that I hope they have worked out better. Now don't get me wrong there's stunning talent in this squad but to each club. 2nd pure fact the haka from Tonga from start to finish will show who will probably win. Go the Kiwis. would just like to also add never forget out the kickers in this aussie squad. A 40/20 can make any game change very quickly.

Does anyone actually care about the Pacific Championships, I’m a rugby league fan but the NRL has done such a piss poor job in growing the game internationally and actually making people care about Rugby League outside of Australia. We might have international tournaments but is Rugby League really an international game when majority of both the Tonga and Samoa teams players are either born in Australia or NZ look at all the actual world games like soccer and union most people that play for those countries are actually born there and grow up in their own countries playing the sport

People need to understand how tier systems work. Nothing whatsoever to do with player abilities.
It's all about the nations infrastructure, player pools, mega corporations etc. Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, PNG don't fit that. They'll all remain tier 2 for the history of the game.

NZ at the moment pose little threat, a lot of players are playing out of position and a retired half-back is coming in to fill the number 7 role.
The Australian is team stacked with Origin players and should dominate the other teams with pure fitness and skill.
Tonga team is stacked with Horse Power, and should upset NZ and Aus if their halves get their game sorted.
Pacific Championship should finish in this order.
    1. Australia
    2. Tonga
    3. NZ

Australia has made it happen, the NRL have just allowed players from all Pacific Islands to just come in to take our Aussie players positions, and we even PAY them to do so, they are all 100% stone cold broke and our tax and supporters money pays for them at the expense of Australian players. I predict within 10 to 15 years all NRL teams will field all or most Islander players, and Aussie players will be sitting right next to you in the stands, wondering WTF went wrong. We have rules in play for international players where only 2 per team are permitted in each club, this was to allow our own home grown talent to get their rightful places. We are no longer watching our club playing another team on a Sunday, will the last Aussie player please turn the lights out when you leave.....

    • @paddyg

🤣🤣🤣 respectfully bro I do believe that most of the league will become more Polynesian but if you look at state of origin, there will still be a lot of Aussie players for years to come. The best player in the world right now is Nathan Cleary...

@@paddyg In all honesty, if you take the time to do the research as I have done, over a hundred hours of it, and being a Sports Clinical Psychologist for 40 years, at the current rate that is rapidly escalating, hence my timeline of approx 15 years to midnight. It does not bother me what the NRL do, but I am SURE that all the supporters in the future will be left shaking their heads left wondering when its all too late, and they have no players in there beloved teams with names they can even somewhat pronounce..... and they will all have to resort to calling everyone silly slang colloquial names like "bro".... In the coming 15 to 20 years, players like Clearly will not be given a chance to develop through his school days....
